i think he is forgotten in the shadow of the other ronnie often but he did have a thing of his own ,,,and a dark side ...see sitcom "sorry" ... eeesh he was the straight to barker and rightly so but it must be said he had his moments he often appears as if he should have more to offer but he really was as he seemed a fine performer in his field
I think this is definitely one of his best ever shows. I passed myself laughing. One outright legend, one legend on a step below, ( Ricky) & Graham just one below that. And all three work fantastically together. 👍❤️🇮🇪
Ah what a loss, Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker, Dave Allen, Spike Milligan, Benny Hill, Arthur Lowe and the "Dads Army Crew", we were truly blessed to witness such genius, time is so fleeting.
I did not realize Ronnie Corbett had become so Obese, he must have been very unhealthy towards the end of his life, both of The Two Ronnies are sadly missed!
What a brilliant find - the birth of the red chair! And what a great cast - thank you to GN his fabulous guests and to the person who loaded this on CZcams.
The main thing I remember about this is Graham at the end of the previous week's show saying the Ronnie Corbett and Ricky Gervais were going to be on the following week, and Miranda Hart (on that previous week) being gobsmacked by the lineup. She might have said wow, that's amazing. Summin like that
I used to watch the two ronnies back in the early 80's. Sunday nights. I think the british humor is a so much better than american humor! The two ronnies had the best joke about the two women and the car that wouldn't start!
The moment R and R walked on with glasses of wine I knew I would witness a historic occasion. The finale using a Two Ronnies tribute had me pissing into the golfclub handle! The « woke > lot would not understand. 😢
Quite different shows really. The two Ronnie's was more an out and out sketch show, with lots of different characters and a focus on word play, IIRC, whereas Morecambe and Wise was more a mix of standup and sketches, playing largely on their established funnyman/straight man personas rather than creating characters. Of course, this is no doubt over-generalised but they are really too different to try saying one is better than the other.
They would have been provided for them as a tribute to Ronnie Corbett who often wore these types of jumpers when he did his skit in the chair on The Two Ronnie's Show.
It's a throw back to Ronnie Corbett, who use to do a bit on the Two Ronnies show in a chair and tell a long winding Joke. He wore Lyle and Scott jumpers that was well know for their diamond pattern jumpers.
@@chrisreaney1980are you kidding me? Ricky we know but Ronnie's never been on the TV here. I'm 56 and this is the first time i've seen him on anything besides being imitated by Rob Brydon. So you are correct it's not ''funny'' so much as odd, and that's what I meant.
You need to search for episodes of “The Two Ronnies”. It was a TV sketch show he did with Ronnie Barker (now also sadly deceased) back in the 80’s. Some of the sketches and even musical numbers were brilliantly funny, clever and well written (not all but most) “Four candles” is an absolute classic.😂
@@londonlady227 aaw🤥 I'd never heard of that mr bean guy either but he's famous now too. How far back into British comedy am I supposed to go when considering your feelings about this?
RIP and long live Ronnie Corbett (December 4, 1930 - March 31, 2016), aged 85
You will always be remembered as a legend.
don't forget Ronnie Barker... both brilliant...

He was indeed a legend and sadly missed - met him once - lovely - comedy was great back then
3 hilarious guys having a conversation. It doesn't get any better.
Ricky looks truly over the moon happy to be working with Ronnie. You can see a real admiration for each other
Ricky obviously idolised Ronnie, can't see any admiration from Ronnie tbh, though he was a gentleman and went along with all the banter.
I could never find the humour with Spike Milligan, it always felt like mocking a person with a mental illness
Ronnie Barker and Dave Allen, definitely the rest of them behave.
Ian Lavender is still alive.
I did not realize Ronnie Corbett had become so Obese, he must have been very unhealthy towards the end of his life, both of The Two Ronnies are sadly missed!
@@nomadsteve5297 I know what you mean but I'm fairly convinced that was his objective.
"you thought a dustman's blow was something else " .... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo funny
One of Graham's best shows !!!! It was a pleasure to watch Ronnie and Ricky just being 'themselves'.
Fabulous episode! Laughed my socks off. What a joy Ronnie was! Delightful watching all three together having fun.
What a brilliant find - the birth of the red chair! And what a great cast - thank you to GN his fabulous guests and to the person who loaded this on CZcams.
Rest in peace Ronnie Corbett you will be sadly missed
He died in 2015 so I think you're mixing him up with Robbie Coltrane who died a few days ag9. I loved him in Cracker and in the Harry Potter movies.
Love them both + the Red chair origins story
Incorrect
The birth of the big red chair.
Seriously isn’t.
What a top show !! This one beats them all.
The birth of the red chair!
Nope
Loved Ricky's ghost town. Very good movie!
Absolute comedy gold. Was in tears through the whole thing. Thanks for sharing !
Take A Moment
Ronnie is a genius in my top
Funnyman.
So is Ricky.
Stay Free
I just love these 3, what a combo :)
That's one of the best shows
Funniest Norton Show, I've seen. I wish all legendary performers were as good for each other.
Ronnie Corbett god bless him
RIP Ronnie Corbett
this is up there with Robin Williams on Craig Ferguson - host and guest(s) just having the best time with each other. This is a great episode.
Ronnie Corbett. Comedy Royalty!
More of us need to see this video. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
Omg. Thank you for this. I think this is the best show ever. I couldn’t contain myself.
Just found this, utterly brilliant.
I love how graham dressed in this episode!
just fantastic
That was a brilliant show 😂
This is definitely the funniest episode of graham norton I’ve ever seen
Brilliant
that was wonderful, had me laughing out loud. thank you for sharing
Loved this🌟
Great show. Packed full of creative ideas
Kevin Clash does Elmo..... I had to go check hahahaha
Thank you for sharing this. It was a bless!
Ronnie Corbett a legend comedy of old which was pure gold
Absolutely brilliant
That was so funny 👍😂
Look how young they look!
I challenge anyone not to laugh at this episode. 2 absolute legends, oh and Ricky's on it aswell. If you don't laugh. you're not human.
Thank god for Ricky gervais
Excellent
Love Graham Norton but no show ever eclipsed this episode.
AMEN
I once sold Ronnie Corbett a golf shirt and he said he was going to wash it at home and come back to tell me how it was……and he did!
Great show!!👍🏻💪🏻🙏🏻
Just practising !! And few years later...eurovision!
MTV called, they want their reverse water intro back….
In glorious 360p

Mmm. Good comment
Quality.
Haha....what a weird way to setup the Ecclestone anecdote!! :o)
Ha ha ha, I like jokes and I love the gag where Ricky insinuated that there was a man laying on the floor with his entire arm up Graham Norton‘s arse
As a German the German part killed me (:
For you, the war is over

Everyone in the chair has diamond pattern sweaters
..and glasses! Because it’s a tribute to Ronnie C’s red chair monologues!
It’s called argyle
38:40, In Australia we call it the bushman’s hankey
OMG
Doesn't matter how you refer to it - it's a disgusting habit.
I had no idea argyle was so popular in 2009.
Great shos tomight
It’s goodnight from me
And it’s goodnight from him

oh wow this is where the red chair came from?
yes
Ronnie Ronnie Ronnie, you lay them flat to dry. Not hang.

Funny how the woke triggered can't get over themselves.
Those jokes wouldn't fly today
You poor little thing.
14:25, I think Ronnie, thought, just for a second, that something was going on!!
was Grau. not brown. Loved the show as always
So funny to watch them bouncing off each other rip ronnie
Does everyone in the UK wear the same patterned tops every one of those people on that chair had the same design on their tops
you have missed the joke, as Ronnie Corbett usually wears an Argyle Sweater.
Proffered the 2 Ronnie's to morcombe and wise

Was this the first dumping chair bit.
Graeme Norton looks so.young no beard
All those red chair people wearing hexagon sweaters
14:58, there's Ronnie Barker in the front row. Too soon?
why are all the people in the chair wearing 'checkered vests'... very weird... must have been the fashion back then...
because Ronnie Corbett wore cardigans etc on his spot in the chair on the Two Ronnies tv series
@@bjb008 Oh, of course.
them intro jokes was so 1975
and your point is !
Do all the people in Grahams TIPPING CHAIR buy their jumpers from same shop?
They would have been provided for them as a tribute to Ronnie Corbett who often wore these types of jumpers when he did his skit in the chair on The Two Ronnie's Show.
I can sympathise with Ricky. I also suffer from misophonia
Ricky plays along because he loves Ronnie, but he clearly despises GN. He slagged him off regularly on his XFM shows with Stephen and Karl.
Why's the red chair full of people with diamond jumpers?
It's a throw back to Ronnie Corbett, who use to do a bit on the Two Ronnies show in a chair and tell a long winding Joke. He wore Lyle and Scott jumpers that was well know for their diamond pattern jumpers.
Milk floats didn't have reverse
Why don’t American talk shows server alcohol? Still don’t think it would be as good as Graham Norton.
They probably do (what do you think is in those mugs everyone sips from?). They just can't show it due to broadcasting regulations.
I know they drink on Seth Meyers and they don't pretend not to.
Who’s the wittiest of these three, in order?
Haha special needs Mr. Men. You'd never get away with that now
God that was funny
I like the episodes where he talks to female gay icons and looks at the internet.
Imagine this today, no chance. Woke has ruined humour, no laughing at ourselves
The guy in the chair looked like Kenny Everett !
That was weird.
How nasty to the two women suffering from drug and alcohol addiction 😢 I still love all three men though, maybe different times?
There's a man lying under Graham Norton 🤦♂️😂
" usually " ......
Wow, Rickys girlfriend really does look like Ronnie Corbett.
Funny thing is in America most of us couldn't pick Corbett out of a lineup. Have NO idea who he is or what he's done to be famous. Not one thing.
That's not that funny
@@chrisreaney1980are you kidding me? Ricky we know but Ronnie's never been on the TV here. I'm 56 and this is the first time i've seen him on anything besides being imitated by Rob Brydon. So you are correct it's not ''funny'' so much as odd, and that's what I meant.
