2018年4月22日ロームシアター京都でありましたローム ミュージック フェスティバル2018での京都橘高等学校吹奏楽部のステージでの演奏です。「元気いっぱい・笑顔いっぱい・夢いっぱい」が合言葉のオレンジの悪魔さん達！本当にぴったりすぎる合言葉ですね。とても元気で笑顔いっぱいの素敵な演奏でした♪

このローム ミュージックフェスティバル2018ライブには117期がいませんね。この年の10/21、東京の「楽器フェア2018」の構成とほぼ同じですが、屋外と室内で、演奏環境は違っていますが、クオリティが高く比較しても、全く違和感がありません。欲をいえば、スペインをフルで演奏してほしかった。この115期、116期は京都橘高校吹奏楽部のひとつの最高の完成形だったのだと思います。

I cannot get tired of watching these beautiful young ladies play music and Dance together as a team. They are exciting to watch and listen to. This is going to be one of my best videos to watch and the best high school band in the world.
音は良く響くし、ステップはキレキレ＆安定感抜群。さすがローズを経験したきただけある。聞きごたえ十分
どうみてもアニメーションを加工しているとして思えない。演奏とダンス、構成・演出はプロに近い。会場の広さに合わせて動きを決めているんですね。観客の笑顔と感動が伝わって来ます。話をしている時の女の子の素人ぽさは、いかにも高校生らしくて大好きです。ショータイム！！日本の誇り。動画ありがとうございます。

Because of the small and crowded stage, the trombone soloist at 8:25 had a rough start to her solo, but she recovered VERY well! As a lifelong musician, I know how difficult that is! And the other trombone soloist at 19:44 nailed it with those subtle warbles! "Under The Sea" was so refreshing! Another awesome performance by all!! Still hoping for a 2017-2018 KT Reunion World Tour! :)
The French horns at 10:47 were BEAUTIFUL! The baritone solo at 11:04 was wonderful as always! And the sax solo at 14:10, as well as the clarinet solo at 25:36, were VERY well done!

I would like to comment on the Kyoto Tachibana High School Symphonic Band.
In Japan, elementary school is a 6-year system, junior high school is a 3-year system, and high school is a 3-year system. Therefore, high school students are between 16 and 18 years old.
The new school term is in April. There are summer, winter, and spring breaks.
Kyoto Tachibana High School requires students to commute to school from where they live with their parents.
Therefore, students who have difficulty commuting to school must move with their parents or guardians to be closer to the school.
School is in session six days a week (Saturday mornings only, Sundays are off), but the brass band is active seven days a week.
From Monday to Friday, "morning practice" is held from 7:00 a.m. when the school opens until 8:30 a.m. when classes begin, and "independent practice" is held during lunch break.
After classes are over, club activities start around 4:00 p.m. and continue until the school closes at 7:00 p.m.
There are only three official days off for club activities throughout the year. Club activities are also held during spring, summer, and winter vacations.
However, it seems that club activities are not held during exam periods, which is the students' main job.
*As an outsider, I can only speculate, but there are approximately 330 days of club activities per year.
Club activities are determined and supervised by students (3rd year students).
The wind band advisor, marching coach, etc. only provide support, which is probably a major difference from other schools' wind bands.
The students also play a central role in arranging music and creating drill sheets.
First-year students learning the Tachibana style. Second-year students who aim to improve their individual skills. The third-year students teach the younger students.

After checking, I noticed that the school system has changed on April 1, 2022.
Classes are held only on weekdays, and Saturdays and Sundays are closed.
Classes on Saturday were assigned to weekdays.
Club activities on weekends are the same as on Sundays, and Saturdays are assumed to be leisurely activities from 9:00 to 19:00.

c: I was a little nervous with so many people watching, but it was a lot of fun.
i: Is marching really about dancing like that?
c: Yes.
i: I guess it's something that only Kyoto Tachibana High School can do?
c: That's right.
i: Why did you decide to join the (Kyoto Tachibana High School) brass band?
c: When I was in 6th grade, I went to listen to their (Kyoto Tachibana High School) regular concert and I was so moved that I decided to enroll in Kyoto Tachibana High School.
i: There may be some kids out there who are moved today and want to join (the Kyoto Tachibana High School brass band).
This marching was amazing. How do you come up with the choreography? Who comes up with it?
c: It was mainly planned by students, and third-year students.
i: So you were students. The dance was perfectly matched to the song, so I was also moved, it was really amazing.
Do you have any goals for the Kyoto Tachibana High School Wind Orchestra?
c: We want to win the final of the National Marching Championship, and we'd like to put our efforts into the Wind Orchestra Competition this year as well.
i: I wish you the best of luck. Lastly, could you tell us about your upcoming plans?
c: We will be performing at the "Omi no Haru Biwako Classical Music Festival 2018" at Biwako Hall on May 4th, so please come along.

言われて確認しました。本当ですね。早速 "埴輪スタイル" になっていました。
彼女達はパフォーマンス中は「ゾーン」に入っているのか高校生とは思えない"近寄りがたい雰囲気"もありますが、MCやインタビューなどになると、普通の高校生に戻りますね。
このイベントは2018年4月22日に撮影されました。115期DMは京都さくらパレード2018(2018年3月25日)に続き2回目のDMだったと記憶しています。2017年度までは顧問の田中先生が一手にMCを行っていましたが、2018年3月31日に退職されました。2018年度新しい顧問の先生は登場せず、部員にMCさせる方針なんですね。DMやお二人の副部長のMCや最後の部長インタビューがまだ4月なので初々しいです。

With talented young people like this, there still hope for this planet !

One of the many things that is so appealing about the KT Kids is that when performing and playing, they are seldom standing still. There is always movement. The resulting eye candy dazzles. And then the music, the relentless pounding of the drums on SSS ... it all just overwhelms the senses. The KT Band is peerless.
Their intonation is as good as (or better than!) some major symphonies. I can understand some people not believing they're actually playing, or that they're professionals. Listen to the clarinet and those trumpets on SSS-- Benny Goodman would be proud!
One nice touch is that salute at appx 1:40. The flag girls give a quick bow, but the DM doen't. This is right -- she COMMANDS.
My favorite SHS TACHIBANA world class group band..
As I have said before, "The best band in the land (on Earth) and Tachibanasaurus Rex, too."

長時間ステージで全曲の振り付けが違うのにみんなびっくりするぐらい綺麗に揃ってます。今回は曲紹介のときを除いて演奏がずっと続くから曲選びや見せ方などの全体の構成も見どころですね。それからソロ奏者のみなさん上手ですね。現在のDMの部員さんも昨年までソロを何度も務めててベテランみたいな安定の上手さだったのを覚えてますが、橘のソロはみなさん素晴らしいです。最後のインタビューは部員さんの言葉が聞けて、今までイベントであまりなかった光景で新鮮な感じがしました。

本当に凄いですよね！一曲一曲それぞれ凄いのに、次々に続いて楽しさてんこ盛りです！順番に曲をただ演奏していくんじゃなくて登場シーン(曲紹介後の2曲目と7曲目はイントロで登場してきたり、他の曲もそれぞれ趣向を凝らした楽曲に合った始まり方です)で引き込ませたり、各パートにスポット当てたり、ソロで聴かせたり、恐竜出したり、カラーガードは何種類もフラッグを使い分けたり盛り立て役に回ったり･･･どこを見ても全体を通して見ても丸ごと楽しいですね♪

今回のステージ、カッコよすぎてずっと鳥肌立ってました、、、
いろんなパートが前に出てきてくれたりソロがあったり、ガードさんも小道具が新しくなってめっちゃ可愛い！

はい！ガードさんの小道具がとても新鮮で・・・演奏されてる部員さんに帽子被せちゃったり・・・楽しいですよね～♪
すごいなぁって思いながら見てるのはいつも通りなんですが、今回は見応え有りすぎて久々に感動しました。
どの楽器もソロパートを入れ、普段目立たない楽器の子達の笑顔もしっかり見られました。
曲目も去年からの引き続きに加えて新曲も増えて、いったいいつ練習したのかと驚きです…複数扱うパーカッション担当は特に大変だったのでは(汗)。
そんな色々に思いを巡らせながら見てたおばちゃんの目には、いつのまにか汁があふれでてました(だし汁苦笑)。

Okazel has been an outstanding DM starting at the Rose Parade in January carrying the National Flag for the entire parade. Congratulations to her for a job well done this entire year. I will miss her as I am sure others will also.
Thank you st.taketo for a fantastic upload of the "new" Tachibana program. I really liked this new program and the new songs. :) It was great that almost every section got their solo moments to shine!
Great camerawork as well! (and sound of course!) I really liked the zooming to different groups and parts och the scene. Always before you only see the whole picture, not the individual players. This was great! These guys always makes me smile and everytime I need something to lift my mood I watch these performances. :D

This band should be a one of Japanese Heritage i am used to listening their music i am fallen for the music and how this band is performing wish to see them on live band show, need to schedule my future vacation in Japan
