I have a 02 in the driveway still running strong. This just proves what I've always said........best truck ever made. 248k miles on it and just keeps going. Good to know I could launch it off a few sweet jumps before its all over. Great video!

Haha same my dad bought one in 02 fresh off the lot 0 miles she Just hit 300k completely stock my older brother got is passed down now it’s mine still runs like the day my dad got her
I bought mine in October and she runs strong with 286k I got it at 273k

Went from a v8 to a v6 to a rod knocking 4 cylinder
It was never rod knocking. He could have held it on the limiter for 15 mins and it might have started knocking

I mid 2001, I bought a brand new 2002 Avalanche Z71, I still have it, and it is still in show room condition.
I bought mine in 2002 painted it and all that good shit on it

My I believe 02 got hit hy a drunk driver with a trailer. She drove us to downtown Texas and anywhere. Avalanches are one of the most reliable trucks. I miss my black one and my blue one😢

Even though it was practically gutless by the end overheating and had no more torque to move itself any faster than a snails pace the engine still refused to stop running
probably just needs a rebuild and new gaskets
