I like to think that a solid 20% of the reason Zach agreed to roleplay a new game is to re-complain about the Assault Rifle xD

Was made to be large to look good in the hands of a player in power armor but… it just looks bad
I was thinking they did the new game roleplay cause the the Fallout TV show came out, so they're pretending it's new in a new mod to welcome people who are just getting into the fandom from the show, without expecting the new people to know everything (either about the Games' lore or Mike and Zach Lore).
To be fair, it should be crapped on at every available opportunity. I mean, it somehow made it into a supposedly professionally made game, despite being a freakish chimera. When Bionicle Heroes has more believable firearms than a semi-realistically styled game, the art team should really be fired...

This week has been amazing for me in terms of videos to watch. I got a _50 ways to die in Minecraft_ video with another coming this saturday, two Mike and Zach Fallout 4 videos, and a gun rant on the Beretta 1934.

Edit: The 50 Ways to die video sounds fun, too, now that I think about it, some of those get pretty comedic.

Zach's so right about pinball. Either it's a fully analog vintage machine you have to spend hours just diagnosing and then further hours _fabricating replacement parts for_ because the company hasn't existed in longer than you've been alive, or it's a cheap POS modern machine made on a fishing-line budget where sure you might be able to get _parts_ but noooo it's a _software bug_ and the company didn't want the customer to do anything to their _pwecious widdle profit generating game code._

My first thought watching this episode was this was as close as Fallout 4 could come to the legendary No No Bad Run, then Dogmeat "enthusiastically" agreed with me.
I am THOROUGHLY enjoying this LARP especially since its done by people who don't really have to LARP it since they've been in the system. Also America Rising 2 is like...a fantastic mode like for real. It's bar none the best Enclave mod for any Fallout game ever
I'm still impressed with how well you role play as your own NPC. It can't be easy because I know how goofy the ai can be in that game lol

Fun fact the vertibirds in fallout 4 were prototypes the rest of the games had gunships and cargo vertibirds the prototypes were made for transport of troops and supplys

I mean, old elevators and old pinball machines are both a mess of electromechanical relay logic, so Zach really isn't wrong...
As for what the game calls the AR, I always thought it was the rifle for power armor so it being insanely bulky isn't an issue. Normal infantry would get combat rifles or laser rifles.

This is my personally my favorite fallout quest mod, I really like the story, the characters and sets. It’s not an overly ambitious mess like the frontier it’s focused, feels like it would fit in the main story of fallout 4 and most importantly unironically good.

Fun thing: The Triple barreled shotgun is basically the Chiappa Triple Crown.
The assault rifle is so fugly that one is required, by community law, to replace it with either a Service Rifle, Assault Rifle from fallout 3/R93, or install a mod that changes it to a machine gun like Daks attachment pack/replacer

Can't wait until the mods are working again. A great mod is one that puts all the 'proper' material into scrapping cars and lets you scrap ANY car in the commonwealth.
This has some serious benifits besides just the materials...it gets rid of all the potential 'dog death' moments of dogmeat shoving a car into you, and all the 'exploding car' deaths....heh.

The thing that has always bugged me about how Bethesda regards the assault rifle is that as far as I can tell, it’s a rifle for people in power armor. Like the show has them looking humongous in the initiate’s rucksack that they carry. They are supposed to be large and bulky and built like anti-aircraft weaponry cause they are meant to be wielded by walking tanks. At least, that’s how I’ve always seen it and I wish they had programmed that and the minigun as “power armor only” weapons.

This is definitely the American Rising 2 it's a lot different from the American Rising one logger story takes up a lot more memory am I going to have this on my Xbox but I can only have the original American Rising mod I usually do that load order with a bunch of weapons too
You need to clear out all the gunners out of the hangar it would make perfect sense that it would take over a vertibird hanger I've seen them like take over Brotherhood ones and try to fly them

Interesting fact: the vertibird idea isn't unique to Fallout, in Battletech/Mechwarrior they would be classified as a VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) craft. Though the Fallout Vertibird would be notoriously slow and fragile for such an aircraft, as speed and armor are both life to VTOL. Must be because an ICE engine takes too much weight
They kinda exist in real life too.. the V-22 Osprey has been around since the late 80s.
