I love this guy! Great teacher, warm person and his hair looks great.
Thank you for the kind words
First time here, have to say the hair piece is better than anything I ever seen to date... Of course the wearer has to have a degree of knowledge like this guy here to get the utmost best from these hair systems. But dam, I would never have known it wasn't real.
@@999jay999 The color, cut, density and style make it very realistic!
Younger/full head here, Rick kept me around for the entire video. Brand deal him up!
Mann... I love that look and this guy has a GREAT sense of humor. The hair is perfect! Thanks for sharing.
“I really am as cute as I thought I was” HAAA love that
This is awesome and Rick is a fantastic spokesman for your product. I hope he gets free hair systems for life from you guys! Just sayin'
depending how strong it stays on.. if it comes off on the boat or on the bike..f that
What a damn good looking man for his age! Thank you so much for showing us in details how to work this thing out.
Rick is indeed a naturally charismatic individual, have a good one!
Wow what an incredible transformation!
You have amazing system & hair, beard and the ginko sculpture, I have no idea how I ended up here, drunk & intrigued , cheers for showing the process
Great tutorial! Thanks for advice!👌
I grew up watching Golden Girls and thought that the quality of hair out there was as bad as Stan's rugs on the show lol
This looks like a game changer! Started losing my hair in my early 20s and I sure would like to have some back!
Video was super helpful and your attitude is infectious brother! Thanks for the info!
Thanks for your kind words my friend!
You have a beautiful bathroom by the way, love the tiling, vanity, color temp, and everything about it.
That’s funny, and thanks man! Peace
crazy how natural that looks.
The transformation is crazy
Thank you for sharing this, I am a woman with hair loss who wears wigs, and have been exploring different options for longer wear because I am also having difficulty keeping them on as long as I used to sweats and all of those things, and I came across your video while looking into it adhesive as a possibility, but I will be sharing this with my husband also because he has shown interest and hair systems as well, especially after breaking down the stigma in our household of wearing human hair wigs
Great job and great attitude ❤
suits you really well. Really like the moustache
Thanks for the help brother. I just ordered my hair system and all the glue !🤞🏼
Things we love to hear!!
It looks F amazing on you man. I wish it could be easier. Easier to apply, easier to maintain, etc etc. I have no skills nor patience to deal with something like that but I LOVE IT.
Thanks buddy
Thanks buddy
I find mine quite easy. I just go in for my ,"hair cut" once a month where they remove it, shave, treat the scalp, clean the hair , trim and blend it back to my existing hair. I'm there for about an hour and otherwise I live a normal life ...swim, gym, shower...go for runs. It's quite low maintenance
fabulous result!!!
I've gotta be honest, I shave my head at 26 and enjoy doing it, I don't see why anyone would want something like that and go through all the effort when you can just shave but... regardless, this looks realistic af. Good job to the company making those.
Not everyone has a good head to be bald
I shaved my head for years. Boring. Its actually more maintainance shaving your head bald. Hair system is easier. You do this once every 2-3 weeks. Boom done.
@@uranusplanet1226 Not exactly "Boom done", I mean he has to glue the damn thing onto his head.

It looks better than I thought.
Wow, it looks great! Really suits you and looks so real.
Thank you
I did this all by myself for the first time ever( I got it installed by a professional once and cleaned twice ) but I did the maintenance myself just now and this guy gave me motivation lol, I think I did ok and I saved myself 90 bucks! 😅lol I’m 32 and I look much more handsome with the hair system than without so I think I’ll keep it going lol
Rick, Rick...I am 63 and have been wearing hair since 1984. Suggestion? No need for all that glue. Just put super tape 1/4" in from edge around the horseshoe back/side. Use the glue on the front. Also, Ghost Bond goes on and comes off easier than the Walker glue. Cut your maintenance/change down by 50%. Great hold too. Just a suggestion from an old man. You look great.
Lol….I’ve used tape around the sides but have to have glue for the front. You have a lot of valuable experience man. Thanks!
I like your suggestions I'm really interested in getting started and suggestions on a hair system for a first time starter
Best thing is to just shave it off and Rock it, bald, bearded and badass.

You are about the only person I've been able to find on you tube that might be able to answer my question. I'm getting a hair replacement system. It's a salt and pepper unit. My own hair on the sides and back is pure white. How well do those blend in?
They don't -- My mom does men's hair replacement for a major movie studio, I've been watching her for 30 years.
Man, it certainly can blend well. The sides of my hair are darker, except around the very edge is where it is completely gray. It all depends on how the system is cut. I see people on TV all the time and have terrible looking systems and wonder why can it look better than that. But it can look better. It’s all about blending the sides of the unit and with the natural hair. There are times that I go with a very gray unit but the way I cut it and blend into the dark around the sides of my hair is still works great
In the movie "weekend at Bernie´s", they used a staple machine for that.
He applies it without hassle. Wish I can do this perfectly.
You can say what you want, it does look good
Thanks
Looks really good
We think so too! Rick rocks the look.
He looks fab !!
I think u look really well either way ❤

Power to you man.👍👍👍👍👍
Your hair looks great
Everybody has to do what's right for them; they're the ones stepping out into the world each day after all. But I look at this dude, and he's handsome, he's got style, he's got a fantastic beard, great ink, and a warm and vibrant personality. The hair looks good and natural, but if he shaved his head he'd look like a $1million in my opinion. In any case, all the power in the world to him. He's a great spokesman.
Appreciate your words! Very kind!!!
Informative 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks so much👊🏽
Hair for men has come such a long way. For so many years when you saw a man with a hair piece or wig it was so obvious and just plain old looked bad. Your hair really looks good. A little bothersome with all the work involved but you look great. Plus, if I saw you out in public I would never know it wasn't real.
It looks great on you.
After using the Solvent, I put a small amount of baking soda over it and scrub gently with an old soft toothbrush. This step ensures that all the glue and solvent is gone. I also do the same for my scalp. It freshens everything up.
Sir your videos are amazing. Also very well explained. Love watching these. Because of you im going to take the plunge. If you could please tell me the exact model and hair color you have so i could get it thanks.
Rick uses the HD111 system, but it is recommended to color match to your own hair. There are many color options and grey percentages available, and finding the perfect match for you is key in having a natural look
Thanks bro! Hd111 all the way man! Peace!
@@rickdouglas5830 cool my brother thanks!
When did wigs become units? I have to say these things have come a long way, this one looks good on you.
Damn, I didnt really understand the title before i clicked, i thought that was your real hair, i never considered a hair piece before, but that looks amazing and natural. Wonder if similar products are available in the UK
Same! I had no clue what the title meant 😄
And it NEVER crossed my mind that was a hair piece as well!😄
That’s a great compliment. I get lots of hair compliments, People who see me up close and personal never believe me when I tell them it’s “stuck” on. Lol.

I've been losing my hair for years I had a fut hairtransplant did not turn out great and now got a nasty scar but don't think I could do a hair system to much maintenance looks good tho good luck to all who try one
Some guys got it down to 30 minutes a week is it really that much?
It looks good.. But I think the density is a little much.. Maybe 60/80 medium light.. 👍

Greetings again, Rick, from a fellow HD111 system wearer! Excellent video, and brother, you're right, it does look great. This unit looks a like the hair length is a little longer than some of the others I've seen you with. My stylist and I are still experimenting with the length I prefer, and lately I've been trying it at around 2", with a similar hairstyle to yours (I'm 62 years old). I'm a college professor and I find it looks neater, and a bit more conservative (not that I am particularly), for the school year. I go a little longer for the summer, which suits the ageing hippy in me.
A couple of suggestions you might consider, (I continue to learn so much from you that I hope you won't mind):
1. I find that as careful as I am that I used to get some glue on my fingers. It was a real pain to get off, so I bought a big box of latex gloves and use one pair when applying the glue and then wiping the glue bottle down with some rubbing alcohol (that's what we call isopropyl up in the Great White North of Canada). I then put on a fresh pair to apply the system, and give the finger tips a little spray of the alcohol before I install the system itself. That way I avoid having hair stick to the little bits of glue I may have had on my fingers.
2. Before I brush my hair I use one of those really wide tooth combs to put it roughly into place. Then, using the brush, I smooth it out. Everyone has their own product preference after, but I find that a dab of L'Oreal 4mat does the trick to keep it in place all day.
Anyhow, keep up the great videos. I'm sure they inspire new system wearers, and as a relatively experienced wearer now I still appreciate and learn from them.
David
p.s. I had a bit of a hair disaster myself the other day when the system fell off the manequin head after I had glue it. A few sections went into the glue but I patiently solvented and combed it back well. I thought of your previous video and took it all in good stride.
Thanks David! I love to get suggestions from others, the more the Better we become at performing this miracle! Lol
Hey, aging hippie college professor…nothing wrong with being conservative!
@@stevejanowiak1982 Unfortunalty our colleges are filled with Marxists! I would never send a son or daughter of mine to a college and have them brainwashed against God and every decent conservative belief I have instilled in them. We homeschooled our children their entire childhood, and they are very conservative, decent Christian people! Homeschooling is the answer for any Christian or even just conservative person with children!
hey just wondering how often do you clean your thin skin HD111....I am using front lace system but considering switching to thin skin., though was told they only last a month. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
@@Bk-pb8fz I remove my system every 4 days and clean it then. I use only glue around the entire perimeter and clean-up is so quick and easy it amazes me. I spray with C-22 and then use cotton makeup pads the wipe the glue off. It comes off in big glue balls. It usually takes me two passes around the system to complete the process. Then, I use some Dawn soap on the interior just to clean it off more.
I wash the system and add conditioner then, let it dry a bit, and reapply. My systems easily last 12-15 weeks, though I think they could go longer.
I had to have a section of about 4" round remove on the top of my head skin remove due to skin cancer, so when my hair grows back that area will not, I am thinking about getting one of those hair pieces. How long do they say on if you wash your hair daily? Thanks
We wouldn't recommend washing a hair system more than once or twice a week. You can still shower daily, but avoid shampooing. As long as you use a waterproof glue or tape though, showering shouldn't much affect the attachment
Thanks for the video. I found it very useful. What is the base on your system, please? Also, will leaving the unit to soaks in C22 damage the unit if it's lace or poly?
This is a very thin poly system. Leaving the unit to soak in C-22 should not damage the base at all.
@Superhairpieces Thank you. Would this also be OK to do on a system with a mix of poly and lace?
@@groovyman94 Yes you can, however residue tends to be a little harder to remove from lace as it gets into all the holes, so it may not go as smoothly as this.
Nice man
The hair looks so natural,,, great,,,,,
Great video rick. I'm struggling massively with my hair system just now. It's a 0.08mm skin base. Was first fitted with tape. Since cleaning and re fitting myself, I'm struggling to position it properly. I'm ready for chucking it in the bin.
Rick, what’s the thickness of the base on this unit? The unit styling and color match look great. Thanks.
Hello...Rick is wearing HD111 hair system (superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/) with poly skin base of thickness of 4 mils (1 mil =1/1000 inch) V loop.
Hi! 0.3mm thickness. Yeah, super thin.
My hair has been slowly thinning since my late 20’s, and it’s always frustrated me and made me a little self-conscious. I’ve looked into hair restoration with several of the biggest companies, but I both can’t afford it and am not sure that I want to risk doing something that radical. I do admit, these here look good in just looking at them on a video, but again, am I that vain to go through all of this on a regular basis. I’m also an athlete and live in Florida, so I sometimes end up taking as many as 3 showers a day. I can’t imagine sweating that much of getting in the shower that much would work with this. It would problem take up half my day just applying and reapplying. So, I just try to be happy and content with who I am. What you see is what you get. Nothing fake or artificial.
I’ve worn one before mate and if you sweat a lot it will definitely come loose. I trained jiu jitsu in it the people at my gym knew I wore it so I wasn’t worried about it coming off, but even sparring hard it never came off lol. But I would get super sweaty by the end of a class with a lot of sparring and I would go into changing rooms and I could just move it around my head just by pushing it, they stay on but the glue is not cut out for alot of sweat at all.
Shave your head, you will feel so good after. In fact after you shaved your head you might even re-visit having a haircut later with your less set of hair because you start taking your hair less serious. In any way it's a great confidence boost and a great learner that hair doesn't have to be perfect to look good. So just stop thinking about it and shave that off.
Hair transplants are risky and they leave an ugly scar. If you're unlucky you keep balding after and have to shave anyway but now with a nasty scar in the back so avoid that. Of course the transplant clinic will not say this because they want your money.
Good luck friend.
In other words, you want it but are too cheap and broke to buy it.
@@Jimbo_Gringo It also says in the description that you are not supposed to comb the hairpiece immediately after taking a shower. Sounds like a recipe for disaster for active people.
Go to Turkey, it's cheaper.
Hello, I have 2 questions, how often do you do that procedure? and did someone set it up initially for you in order to perform the procedure later?
Rick likes to do it once a week, but it can be done more or less often depending on personal preference. Rick makes his own templates and cuts his own system, so no one needed to set it up for him. For those that don't feel confident doing that though, there is the option to have a professional cut the system base to the right size for you.
The hair, the beard, the body. You look fantastic
YOU LOOK AWESOME 👍🏻
I'm confused when you're using the c22 are you directly spraying it on the hair? I heard it drys the hair out.
Hi! It actually should be sprayed on the base where has the adhesive
I am thinking to get my first hairpiece. I wonder how long does it last until you dispose it. Also How many you needs to keep you going. Cheers
How long they last depends on which one you choose! Rick's last about 6 weeks, but the HD111 he wears is considered disposable. There are others that can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months or more
Hey, if it makes you feel good GOD BLESS. Idk how I got here either but I had to watch. Lol
hi rick i use tape and glue for the front. but i just can't get the front to lay down naturally on my exposed hair system. i've been thinking on gluing a little past the hairline and then using alcohol wipes to clean it. would that work?
It will work, but that bit of glue on you forehead is a pain. I put the glue right on the skin of the unit right to the edge and it works good. What your suggesting will work but it’s hard to get the glue back off. Good luck man
do you mind sharing which system are you using? thin skin? undetectable?.... Also, how much heat does this retain? I overheat pretty easily already, will it stand up to wearing a motorcycle helmet?
This is the HD111, our thinnest skin base. You can view it here www.superhairpieces.com/mens-toupee-hd111-8x10-thinnest-skin-base-hairpiece-disposable/
Rick actually rides a motercycle while wearing his system and has no problems with it!
Hi Rick, At what point can you comb the hair. They say "don't comb wet". Do you towel or air dry first? It looks like you comb it damp in the video. Your hair always looks "not dried" - It looks moist (which I prefer). What type of product do you use on it, if any? AND what is your rule of thumb when it's OK to comb? Does the hair pull out if combed wet? Thanks.
Actually, I have no idea how you can avoid combing the hair when it’s wet. It would dry and you’d have to wet it again do anything with it. It never hurts the system to comb it wet. I do it every morning. I use Aveda men styling gel.
Legal quando eu ficar com mais idade quero ser igual esse cara ai
This is too much effort for me but you look great sir!
