Nice. SmallRigs's site doesn't really show off the quick release mechanism making me think it could be a hassle attaching the strap. Thanks for showing this and how it works with DJI's handle.
It would have been nice if you had showed the one-point feature it has. Instead of using both attachment points on the gimbal you can attach the one end of the strap to the other and use the gimbal with one attachment point. It would also have been nice if you called it "quick detach" instad of "quick release" (so that more people know about QD) because that's the name of the system: QD . I would also like to see how well the shortening-lenghtening of the strap works. Is it easy to adjust while carrying the gimbal? One thing I'm really curious about is how well it works with the camera alone. I'm considering the Smallring's Black Mamba cage, which has a QD slot, so you can super easily go from the gimbal to the camera if you for example want to take some photos.
im still confused about the rosette connection. if we put a rosette handle there, it looks silly. if i purchased the smallrig briefcase handle and attach it to the gimbal, then whats the point of designing it with the rosette connection? Id prefer it if there was another connection point fo the strap so i can sling the strap over my left shoulder. that doesnt make sense to me. its like when smallrig put the 1/4 20 holes on top of their large original mattebox. then youtubers said "for your accessories" which is the same as their product description. youtubers like potatojet didnt know why the holes were there either. this situration is like the rosette connection... why smallrig, why?
Only thing is the bottom plate which needs the Allen Key to screw on. On one time it came loose and I did not have an Allen Key on site had to use a key to remove it so that I can use the tripod legs for the RS3. Also 1:44 anyone got a link to get the handle to attach it to?
I confirm that it is compatible, I use it and no problem, everything works well. I put the Insta 360 foot because the DJI foot is too thin and the strap is life-changing
Yes, SmallRig really is the Lego brick that just connects in so many ways. Thank you for sharing. I've put it on my wish list - it's almost Christmas
I built my sling a year ago from finding the quick release parts on Amazon. Works just like this one. Love the videos!
