This is my first laptop. Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to open the darn thing because the Apple is upside down on the screen side. Your instructions and video were so easy to follow so I thank you for getting me up and going. Now, if I can just get this tracking pad to co-operate, maybe I'll be able to do something on this MacBook Air. Will be watching all of your other videos as well.

Unfortunately you can’t go through the setup but just open settings and there is an option for Siri

Can I ask a dumb question at this point? In the video between 2;07 thru 2;23 the Sign In With Your Apple ID section there is an option in the bottom left corner of the screen to “set up later” . I have an offline windows computer that I use to store a non Apple ID iTunes library, but the pc is so weak I am unable to watch a (DRM free) movie or tv show without it stuttering worse than I do. Yes, I am aware that there are legion of advantages to using your Apple ID but this particular library doesn’t have one. My understanding is if I use a “guest” account it vanishes to the ether once the Mac is closed down? So I can set up the Mac as a user called “offline” and add a password to override that but my question is if I “say” I’m going to set up Apple ID later at the 2:07 to 2:23 point will I be able to add permanent library items from iTunes from the windows dinosaur to Apple Music and Apple TV apps library on a Mac (manually)? Or will the mac not allow that? What if once I set up the iTunes library the Mac went back offline permenantly? So can I set up the Mac with a user called offline with his own login password and settings but skip the Apple ID and still keep the library with its anonymous settings in Apple Music and Apple TV apps on the Mac? Or should I just buy a more powerful pc?
As far as I know you need an Apple ID for Apple Music. I’m not 100% on what you are trying to do so unfortunately I’m not the best person to ask.

I’d say if you aren’t doing anything heavy like advanced video editing or advanced photo editing the MacBook Air is more then enough. I edited the last 2 videos I posted were even edited on the MacBook Air.

Do I create a new password (other than the one I use for my apple account) for my new MacBook? Also, I tried migrating between my iMac and this new MacBook but after 16 hours nothing happened! When I pressed cancel it said "incompatible software"? Do I need to migrate info or is it being stored in iCloud? What does starting up fresh with my new MacBook actually mean? What happens to 'stuff' that's on my desktop? Thanks for you help!
The password that locks your computer can be anything you want. If you want to use the same you can but using different passwords is more secure. If there was an issue migrating my suggestion would be to look for an error that may have popped up and Google it. It’s hard to know why it failed without more info. Also you can call Apple to get help in an Apple Store as well. You don’t have to migrate if you don’t want to. Starting fresh means just starting the setup of the new computer from scratch, not transferring anything from your old computer. As for your old computers data, I am not sure how you have it all saved and backed up. If you sign into the new computer with the same iCloud(Apple ID) then whatever you have saved on iCloud will be accessible on the new Mac. Anything you don’t have saved on iCloud would have to be transferred from the old computer to the new one. You can transfer files, photos etc in so many ways.
My Mac has been on the find my page loading for about a day and the continue button isn’t available .I’m not sure what I could do ,can you please help if you know ?
Press options, command and esc (escape) together and a window should appear, select and force quit the application or applications

Did you click on your country? Try restarting the computer, it could be a glitch.
Great tutorial what you need to mute whenever you say “hey siri” as it was driving me crazy, constantly activating my Siri assistant as I was viewing it on my iPad, and I had to fast forward through that section.

I made a big mistake. Just bought my computer and had them transfer data from old computer, which transfered every bugaboo I was tryint to get away from. I cant remember my google account and have changed my phone number so efforts to establish or access my account. Can you help me get back to square 1?
I mean you can reset the computer to factory settings but you will lose everything. Settings, General, transfer or reset and choose the Erase option. Backup before if you don’t want to lose everything.

Hello I don't know why but my macbook won't let me use the mouse. Ever since I opened the macbook I can't use the mouse, it only allows me to use the keyboard for Commands. I finished setting the macbook up, but i still cant use the mouse and the keyboard isn't working either. I have turned the voiceover down but its no use

Even in dark mode it should still be visible. I would try restarting if it was me but restart at your own risk.

Sounds like it needs to be warranties. Contact Apple asap before it gets worse.

In what sense do you mean unlink? If you use the same Apple ID, then what you have turned on iCloud will be seen on both. On the MacBook, you can open settings and select your profile at the top left, tap iCloud and then deselect any iCloud options connected with your Apple ID that you don't want on your MacBook. As for Messenger and Facetime or other Apple apps, just log out of those while in the app on the Macbook. You created that password when you created your Apple ID on your Mac, iPhone or other Apple device.

Could have frozen but without seeing it it’s hard to say. If it was me I would restart the computer but do it at your own risk.

All you have to do is sign into your Apple ID/iCloud on the MacBook and then sync the available iCloud information you have checked to share from the iPhone/iPad

I just finished watching this tutorial. I was only able to choose my language and country
I was also able to listen to instructions for setting up Voice Over, although the directions when it came to which keys to use for various actions, the voice went way too fast. I listened to it 4x, but it was impossible to follow.
When that finished, a message on the screen said to triple click Touch ID to view accessibility options.
I have tried this at least 5x. I've washed my hands and dried them. I've gone to Apple Support, and have watched your video. Not a single one has been helpful. I am at a loss as to how to continue.
Maybe I should send it back to Amazon???

LOL! That happened to me too. I wasn't clicking hard enough on the touch pad mouse square in front of me. I hit Escape to get out of Voice Over. Use your finger to move the arrow around to the tabs you need and click the big square

It’s way too complicated for me. This video didn’t help. The tech didn’t help. I got locked out of my brand new computer when I restarted it. I took the piece of shit back to store for refund. Stick their passwords up their passwords.
