    Hi, no idea who you are, just stumbled across this video, but thought I'd help you wth the algorthym with a like and comment because this was nicely done. Good balance especially in under 10 minutes, really good job IMO.
    How is Budapest? and Hungary in general? What are you studying?
    I visited Hungary a long time ago now, stayed in Budapest (Pest, iirc) before it was especially geared up for tourism (idk if it is now or not) and I found it beautiful and fascinating but it felt like a place on the very edge of falling into unrest, there was a tension in the people that I didn't understand back then (I was very young) it is hard to explain now, just a palpable wariness in the local people. Don't get me wrong they were friendly enough but there was just something felt slightly 'off'.
    I hope that feeling has not persisted and that the place has relaxed somewhat.
    Oh and I remember an island in the Danube, getting a horse and carriage tour and being taken round the island.
    One thing I hadn't expected before visiting Hungary and to be honest, as a child I didn't know what to expect, but certainly surprising to me was how hot it was in the summer, it was beautiful weather every day, but it got hot, well into the 30s (Celsius).
    Anyway, I will check out some of your other videos ☮

    • @shanelavner4080
      @shanelavner4080  Před rokem +3

      I really appreciate that!! Budapest was an extraordinary city (these videos are coming out after the fact, as I finished study abroad in December). Easily the most extraordinary architectural city I've ever been to - and I got to see a lot of Europe over the course of the semester! I wish I saw more of Hungary outside of Budapest, but I loved the history, the food, and the cheap prices! So much to do the entire 3.5 months. I'm studying screenwriting - definitely interesting seeing the way a film school in Hungary runs compared to LA (where I currently study).
      That's fascinating! I'd be so curious to see what Budapest in the days before it became so tourist-ready (so much tourism, I didn't go a day without hearing English on the streets!). I've heard a lot about the wariness in the people, and I think that's mostly on display in the older generations who grew up in Communism. The younger generations, on the other hand, come across much like Western Europeans or Americans, very globalized. While the political state of the country isn't great, it's economically stable overall, at least in Budapest, and very much feels like a safe first world country.
      And yes - Margaret Island is wonderful! I don't thin they do hors and carriage tours there anymore, but I biked around it and loved it. But yeah, it gets so hot in the summer - the weather overall felt very similar to Maryland, where I'm from.
      And again thank you so much - I hope you enjoy!

    Btw London is the complete opposite of the rest of Britain it’s so much better outside London like you can actually meet friendly people that’s impossible to do in London you should visit a national park or something because they’re beautiful have great food in a local pub instead of a loud pub in London

      I loved London for the incredible diversity of food and the general excitement of the city (NYC is one of my favorite cities in the States), but I found the locals pretty friendly overall! But yes, I wish I spent more time in more rural England - during my third day we visited the ruins of Hadleigh Castle and that was one of the best memories of the trip

      Stop being so ridiculous, i am a born and bred Londoner, the population of London is almost 9 million people, and you know it's "impossible" to meet anyone friendly, HOW?.
      I, and everyone I know will talk to anyone, especially if they look like they might be lost, or confused about where they are and need help.
      London is one of the most, visited City's on the planet, and many of these visitors return time and time again, I wonder what on Earth the attraction can be? All the unfriendly people do you think?. Please tell me where you are from so I can travel there and feel the real Britain.
