This is NOT an Apartment Building it is a Condo Building where each Condo is owned by an Individual Condo Owner & managed by an Elected Condo Board of Owners who determine the Fees & Special Assessments to be paid by the Individual Owners to Pay Repairs! Slumlord not exactly except where you rent out your Own Condo long term

Some people are so money hungry instead of getting them out and working on it or letting it be abandoned until they worked on it. They let them stay in that building and they knew it was in bad shape.
Whatever the real reason that the Miami, Florida building collapsed at Surfside, it should have been addressed through evacuation immediately to prevent future lives lost, but they didn't. WHY ? MONEY ?
The people over the building that knew ahead of time. They should have made arrangements to get those people out of that building but no. They didn't want to lose any money if they were to vacate. Now lives and lawsuits are going to take place. This is sad and warnings come before destruction. You have to take heed. We never know how we are going to die. I pray that the families get healed from this tragedy through Jesus.
Please put God's human lives first, over money from now on. HUMAN LIVES MATTER.

In the southwest US that’s also common and it’s a dry heat like y’all get, but the pacific northwest (especially Seattle) doesn’t have AC in a lot of buildings because anything over like 27-28 degrees (Celsius) is extremely rare. Plus the east coast and gulf coast get super high humidity so a 38 degree day can easily end up feeling like 42-43 degrees and that humid heat is brutal. Overall I’m just glad I live near Chicago right about now lol

hate to say it, but as a florida resident, this is not a new thing. the state is one giant sand bar between the gulf and the atlantic. most of the time that it happens, it's a small home, not a condo. there are special considerations when you're trying to build everything on a swamp. there are times when regulation can be a good thing.
