I switched my ferrets to raw in January (through Bryn's program) and I'm so happy with my decision! This video just made me more confident that I'm doing the best for my fuzzy kids. I really recommend raw to every ferret owner out there.
Is there a way to feed raw on a budget? I have good access to farm fresh chicken and eggs.
After switching to raw with my girls, the littlest of the two has completely changed in energy level. She used to sleep all the time but now ever time her sisters up shes up or when i wake her up she doesnt just go back to sleep

i will always thank pazu and friends for being such an amazing ferret youtuber. it if weren’t for her i wouldn’t be free roaming and raw fed. it is the best way to raise ferrets no doubt about it. some big pet youtubers give out some not great information such as free roaming being too risky. i think it’s ridiculous. i’m just so thankful this channel exists. and once you go raw you never go back! my future dog will be raw fed as well. thank you so much for teaching me everything Bryn.
We found a ferret outside our apartment and are trying to care for it while we look for the owner(s). Do you have any suggestions for what/how to feed her in a possibly temporary situation? I trust your judgment, as you seem extremely knowledgeable and obviously care about what's best for them. Thank you!

[Mod] I’m sure she’s already talked about this. Ensure you test it out in the house first. Get the ferret used to having it on and give lots of treats. then add the leash

I was wanting a ferret and I was going to give them baths but I learned all about Marshall’s brand and the 10 products to avoid so I decided to just give them oat baths

Hi there. I have had ferrets as pets since the 8th grade. I’m now 52 and currently, 3 ferrets are keeping me as their pet (lol). A lot of science has changed over the decades and I must say, I do agree with all of the points you have made in this video regarding feeding a raw balanced diet. I’m a little baffled at the length of time you say it takes a kibble eating ferret to transition to a raw diet. I have taken in many kibble eating ferrets and they have all transitioned to raw in a single feeding. I have mixed a little wet kibble into the first few raw feedings just to assimilate the new diet to their digestive systems but not even sure if that was necessary given their extreme interest in raw food with no negative symptoms. Maybe I’be just lucky. Feeding raw takes a commitment since raw can’t be left in their cages. We lap feed ours 3x a day. It’s a great way to bond with them but one must be ready to make the commitment. Best of luck with your ferrets!

M getting 2 ferrets in February and I’m saving up money to buy the freeze dried raw food. It might be more expensive but the ease and convenience is worth it. I’m afraid if I do raw and don’t do freeze dried I’m going to screw up even with all the research
My baby ferrets were fed Marshall at petco where we got them 😩 and my husband thought it must be healthy just cuz petco told him 🙄 I love him, but he's not a researching addict like I am. I obsess with getting all the info I can when it comes to health & such for our pets, kids, us ourselves lol...
Anyways it was comforting to see U use "Instinct Raw" kibble in another video as you showed the transition to raw actual meat! Cuz I threw away the Marshall food he bought and switched them to Instinct raw cat food even before seeing your video. So yay! And I plan to use this kibble as I get them used to eating real raw meat! It works out cuz I can also use this kibble with my cat who likes to snack between meals. So it won't go to waste or be a waste of money once the ferrets are fully eating meat.
Hey I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to convince my parents to let me get a ferret I want one very desperately I have everything in my Amazon shopping cart and I’ve done all of the research I watch your videos all the time and you’re probably my favorite CZcamsr I was wondering if you could give me some tips and tricks that could help me my parents aren’t that much of animal people and I have a crested gecko I convince them to let me get him so I was wondering if I could you have your help?

If you live in the US I’ve seen sooo many ferret rescues, many of them are in need of fosters! They supply you with absolutely everything you need, and then you can see if owning a ferret is right for you and your parents, without making a huge commitment!

switching my guys back to a mainly raw diet, have noticed heaps of benefits doing so, mine will happily eat their ziwipeak/orijen dry and a balanced raw mince and a chicken neck or even whole prey now.
One of the reasons I like to feed raw for my animals is I know exactly what is in it and I know they will be healthy

Okay if I’m being honest I get bored really quickly with these sort of videos there to long and there’s to much information to process this just might be me because I like to take time with things and make sure I understand it fully.
I’ve been trying to find a video that tells me what to feed my upcoming ferrets and when to feed it. Basically dumb it down a little. All of the videos I’ve been watching tell me different things I feel I can trust these videos the most because of her experience and they are the most reviewed videos
However it would be great if you could do a video telling us what to feed our ferrets , when to feed them ,where we can buy it from , and how you store it (do you freeze the meat or what ??🤷♀️🤷♀️ this would be very helpful for me and a lot of people that I know

I’ve been using ziwi dry raw food and my baby loves it thank you for sharing your knowledge one day I hope to raw feed
Best to worst:
1. Live prey
2. Thawed whole prey
3. High quality feline kibble w/ raw bone for teeth cleaning
4. Raw
5. Low quality kibble
Raw does not give them all the nutrients they need. They need more than just muscle meat every day and organ meat just once a week because whole prey gives them that organ meat you give just once a week, every day of the week. Also, ferrets eat small prey which you probably wont find raw at a grocery store like rodents and the such. Polecats out in the wild are not hunting chickens, ducks, pigs, and cows. Raw is lacking in nutrients, and its a waste of your money.
I don't mean disrespect or anything like that. I like your channel, and I think you give good information for ferret owners or soon to be ferret owners. However, this is something I think the YT ferret community is in error of. Animals should be fed their natural whole prey (live is best if you can stomach that). If live prey or at least thawed whole prey not an option, then a high quality feline kibble with the addition of raw bones after mealtime will be the best substitute for whole prey.
What are your opinions on smallbatch chicken sliders for cats I’ve heard good things for ferrets but what do you think?

My ferret is on kibble because I can not feed raw at the moment, but I give my boy a raw chicken bone once a week to clean his teeth. Is that okay?
[Mod] If you know the ferret is not at risk for Insulinoma, remove the kibble for 4 hours before and after the chicken bone is given. Also, once a week will not be enough to make a difference for dental health.

I tried to get my ferret on raw feeding I tried it with chicken breast even tried mixing it with his food but he doesn’t like it also he has a habitat of eating our dogs food so every time I let him roam the house I have to put the dogs food away and also gave him raw egg cuz I seen that in one of your videos and seems that’s the only thing he liked
Try to cut chicken breast or chicken liver and cut it into pea like size,And mix with eggs,I bet that’ll work,and try deferent type of other raw meats (Pork heart,Goose wings,Quails and more)....:)

Salt is not good for ferrets. I’m not familiar with sardines but fish should only be fed once or twice a week

Can i feed a premade cat grind to my ferret? I have not found any complete and balanced ferret grinds. I like the brand “answers” if that helps and i know they are a high quality raw company.
