I tried same today.. and i felt the improvement .. I used to get jerk on my backbone when ther were speed breaker or pothole.. not making the suspension stiffer there is no jerk.. this is slightly strange that making it stiffer by one or two points we don't get jerk..

Ya I guess it is because now it won't bottom out so easily. Otherwise it used to give me horrible backpain. Now, no back pain, just awesome comfortable ride.

It appears the 3 point is best for your weight, so please do update your weight. Anyone above your weight or with extra luggage would have to increase the preload to reduce the sag and provide more suspension travel.

Yes, good point bro. My weight is 52 kgs and this setting works well for me even with 20-40 kg luggage. But I felt a need to move it to 4 clicks while riding with a 50 kg pillion though I felt slightly issue only when I accidentally met big potholes. Otherwise, the ride was fine even with a pillion & 20 kg luggage while riding in a smooth calm manner. But yes, shifting a click up can be considered by someone weighing >80 kgs or a 50 kg person travelling with a pillion.

Height of my 390 adv has reduced now. I can easily reach my foot down unlike before where I had to use toe. It's a new bike done about 2800 km so far. Is this normal? When I checked with show room guys they said its normal as fork oil would have settled down

That sounds odd somehow. I can also cite a relevant experience to you. Before I got my new bike, I tried sitting on a friend's old KTM 390 Adventure and after getting my new bike I realised that the extent to which I could reach my feet to ground was greater in the old bike than on the new bike. I don't understand the reason for the same. In my bike I think it has not changed. I think the suspension height should not change by itself after riding unless there has been some damage or wear and tear to it. I hope someone did not change the preload in your bike as that can reduce the height too. However, reducing preload is not recommended to adjust the height. Rather, preload should be in accordance with the payload on the bike and often the kind of terrain you plan to travel.
