In this video we are dipping our sheep and show you how it’s done and explain why we do it. Hope you enjoy it and feel free to ask any questions about it. Thanks for watching.
do the dipping water is harmful if they accidentally swallow it? as I see when the guy tries to turn the sheep forward, sometimes the head's is dipped down to the water. and if I may, is it contain kinda sort of insecticides??
The sheep’s head is dipped under water to ensure any ticks or fleas etc in the ears are treated, and the sheep’s instinct is to hold its breath when going under.
Really interesting video. I have a question to the solution. The Organophosphorus, how toxic is it for the sheeps eyes and skin? What kind of solutions do you use? For humans it's toxic and even small amounts in the eyes can cause damage.
Good video. Thanks for the sheep dipping explanation, some people don't understand how farming, and ranching works. I was, originally, looking for the Intelligence community version of it, but it probably isn't much different.
Great work guys, making use of what you have and doing thinks the only way you know. As long it gets the job done I see no problem, never mind people who think they know it all...
i dont wish them the worst. but all sheep farmers who use sheep dipping should switch places at least one time to feel how this is. especially those who use steel cages to dip 10-20 sheeps at ones for 20-30 seconds under "water" by hydraulic machines.
@@gavinhackland8440 yeah... cause there isn't any other method at all... Like: yeah we dip our dogs under water with a broom cause they have ticks... unbelievable
If sheep weren’t dipped then the flies that lay eggs in their wool and hatch into maggots would eat their flesh until they die, which would definitely be cruel to the sheep. So yes, it is necessary. If you saw a sheep with a maggot infestation you would agree.
@@farming_and_fixing why you have to dip them fully under"water" with a broom.. pushing them against the walls with their heads? why dont use a more friendly way to clean them from insects? the only answer is that this would take too much time for the farmers, one sheep by another. so you decide to act like this.
tiktok brought me here

Nothing stronger than a farmers boy !

The new pour ons are good and will save your back
They are a lot easier yeah, we find they work well for blowfly and maggots but not so good for the scab
what’s the first song ?

the music fits perfect
Enjoyed the video , great looking sheep. What breed are they?
Mostly cross bred but kind of a mix of texel, charollais, and suffolk.
These are Texel's right? they're gorgeous! Needed this info for one of my college assignments and was not disappointed. Thanks for the help lads!
They aren’t purebred texels but there are strong texel genes in a lot of them. Glad you enjoyed the video
@@farming_and_fixing how could ANYone with a brain enJOY this??? :O
Thank you for this wonderful video. It made me happy watching it and your music taste is great!
Thanks for the feedback
What the fuck is wrong with you! This is sick! Animal abuse..
Why am I here
I see genuine care for these animals. The idiots flock here to call this cruel but clearly haven't dealt with animals having insect infections.
Sollte man mit euch machen
Ja, vor allem weil es auch eine Methode gibt wo man die nicht halb ertränken muss... das wissen die Experten hier scheinbar nicht.

I hope there is a day were u switch places with those sheeps. Wish u the worst :)
Only washing once a year would be pretty bad
Oh yeah, a sheep eaten by insects is ofc better than that 😁🙄
Let them. They have little brains and no hearts.

He’s in charge of the sheep dip.
Why did the dad have to be so aggressive goddamn they are just sheep you don’t need to be that hard at dipping them in sheeeeeesh😭
I can not see any agression or hard handling

This is so difficult to watch. 😞
Not as difficult as seeing a sheep Eastern alive by ticks.

Great, now do this yourself
Turn your brain on, man. You are cruel to your sheep!! Is this necessary?? Poor sheep!!
