The thing Ben forgets is that Holly didn't need to talk to Adam to get a bluff, she has a built-in one via being an Evil Twin.
I literally went down to the comments on my second watch and saw this as soon as Ben said you need to talk to your minions. What crazy timing.
she didn't know what type of demon adam is or what type of minion ken is and that could cost them the game, because she wasn't sure if the new demon is dom or ken, or ken pit-hagged himself into the demon, or dom is on the good team and this became a game of twins without a demon
instead of joking with blair entire the game she should at least have talked to adam or ken ONCE
also if adam didn't drag ken aside right before nomination, he had no idea about dom being the new demon and sure as hell would curse dom one more time
nevertheless the evil team deserved the win because the other team couldn't even figure out what demon and minion is in play untill the very last day, and the main reason for that is also holly's initial vortax bluff. so unlike info sharing, she did a good job on creating a controled confusion
@@hamed2800 I'm specifically referring to Ben claiming she needs to talk to Adam to learn what bluffs were available for her to use, but she doesn't need to do that at all. She also doesn't have a power useful to the rest of the evil team on a day by day basis, so checking in isn't as necessary as other minions. But I agree that she should have gotten in touch on day 2 or 3 at the latest to touch base and get a lay of the land. She just didn't need the Bluffs.
@@hamed2800 The thing is that it was difficult for her to talk to anyone else without casting suspicion on them, which is also why Blair didn't really get to talk to anyone else one on one the whole game.

Obviously "Blair was socially manipulating Holly" is completely valid - it is a social manipulation game and I think it was very smart of Blair to play that way. However your comment on her being "bitter and petty" goes beyond the game and comments on her character as a person which is incredibly unfair. I don't know what comment you're making at 2:16:52 but to me at least that just looks like someone who lost a game, and is maybe frustrated that they couldn't affect the game that much - being the twin.
I do think the twins had a sweet dynamic, that of competitive siblings perhaps.

Yikes to everyone says Blair was being mean to holy because she was keeping holy from spreading miss information to the good team. That's just literally a smart play, she can't convince anyone shes good at least keep stuff from getting more mixed up

I reckon this was the best we’ve ever seen Adam play. I especially liked him spoon-feeding Doms info that locked the game up *chefs kiss
Agreed. I love how he got in a quick "watch out for a witches curse" or words to that effect during nominations to quickly put it out there for Dom not to nominate having had that little chat with Ken. Not sure if Dom picked up on it amongst the chatter (perfectly placed and hidden in plain sight for Adam to throw it out there) and seemed more like he was gonna stay stum regardless, but it was a good touch, and yeah, Adam was excellent and deserved to win.
For him to go off very suspiciously with Ken TWICE and play it like he did was masterful.
Ken was a verrrrry good accomplice in those last rounds/days too.
Adam's infogathering was also perfect for Dom to be able to bluff dreamer easily. He didn't need to in the end, but if he had been put on the block I'm sure he could have bluffed very convincingly
@@SickRedApple Dom seemed to think he had nothing to bluff with as dreamer, but adam litterally told him what everyones clases were.
After this game Sully is on 13/18 wins (72.2%). Adam is on 11/17 (64.7%). Holly coming up the outside on 3/3 (100%)

Adam totally deserved that win. Calling shots, figuring out people's roles and most importantly making people doubt their info and at times manipulating that info against other players so convincingly that it genuinely felt like he was trying to solve the game as good. Brilliant!!
The Holly v. Blair dynamic is so heartwarming. Proves you can be on opposite teams, still play the game to win and yet still have fun.
No point in arguing, they both know who is who. Arguing in the town queue want change anything. Might as well have fun
@@Aeon08897 Or you can go the Luke route, where you just try to gaslight the good twin (Oli) into submission when you're alone together. Too bad that Daddy Ben had to stop that, that night, to make sure nobody's believing false rules XD (which is good, just too bad for Luke's plan lol)
I felt bad for them though. In the Luke v Oli game, plenty of people wanted to talk to either of the twins to sus them out, sharing info with them to see if they were helpful or not. Blair and Holly were just shunned the entire game.
That was a great episode of Gaslighting My Friends to the Point of Madness for Fun and Profit! Adam was in top form for most of the game, I honestly forgot at times that he was evil.
dom has really become a favorite for me in the last month or so, also, i desperately need a game with both ken and issac, imagine the pure chaos

I kind of got the impression she wasn't having the best time, given how little she spoke. I hope I'm mistaken about that, though.

Adam played so damn well there; he collected so much information, spread so much doubt about everyone's information, and turned the good team against each other masterfully, all while avoiding suspicion and passed the mantle on to Dom in a beautiful maneuver. He was the true artist in this game, he wove lies like a master weaver into a tapestry of doubt and confusion that never pointed at the new demon.
Too bad he sucks at being good. His reads are dog shit but he's a master manipulator.
Ken was absolutely team chaos honoary member. Isacc would be proud of his Witch kamikaze plays.
Before the game even starts Luke guessing Holly's alliance in his example....I love when things like this happen.
Dom, if you see this, just know my wife and I are both happily part of your legion of fans.
Savant information was beyond premium this game:
"The demon is No Dashii or Fang Gu"
"Your neighbor is poisoned or evil"
"The demon is Fang Gu"
That, combined with Clockmaker 2 and Town Crier on Twin, made the game so difficult for evil. Amazing confusion sowed by Adam and Holly.
It really was Good's throw on this one. Pete could have tied it all up with the third night's info. Adam was lucky that Pete chose him as his only confidant and had bad social reads on him the whole game, which is of course why Ben made the info so premium. Not that Adam was unconvincing, but that was still lucky. Pete still whiffed pretty hard and definitely should have at least tried talking to Dan. Luke's horrible "theory" fully neutralized town crier immediately, though Holly did finish killing the only info with the double-bluff speculation. And Blair just basically gave up as good twin and let Holly steer the ship so much that Luke even got confused about who had given the correct Vortox info at the end.
Holly and Adam did play a very good game, and Adam's timing on the Dom kill was what actually won the game. But the most important good roles all screwed up royally. Including Sully, who according to him only bluffed to Dan and expected that to cover him. Just a mess all 'round for good. Kinda wish it was a clean sweep for Evil for how badly they played.
At least 1 player got false info [No Dashii] OR The outsider count has been modified [Fang Gu & Holly was lying]
Adam heard a lie + 1 of my living neighbours is poisoned [Sully=No Dashii] OR 1 of my living neighbours is evil [Adam=evil & Holly was lying[ (OR good Adam had lied about hearing a lie & Luke was evil).
Then Dan found out 0 people had been poisoned. Since he wasn't sat next to Sully, his information must've been true, proving Sully innocent.
This meant it was a Fang Gu game, and Holly was lying. (It hadn't been proven if Adam was evil, OR good Adam had lied about hearing a lie & Luke was evil.)
If Tilly was a clockmaker, this would mean:
- Either evil twin Holly was sat 2 steps from Fang Gu Adam, and the Fang Gu turned outsider was either Ken or Dom
(- Or minion Luke was sat 2 steps from Fang Gu Ken
- Or Fang Gu Luke was sat 2 steps from minion Ken, and the Fang Gu turned outsider was Dom.)

After playing, (and losing) BOTC w/ THE DADDY BEN Last Night, I never been more excited for more NRB Clocktower
I love the addition of Tilly! But also Ken is a NATURAL at BotC! He’s so quick-witted and hilarious. It’s still also great seeing how good Sully has become at this game after his first few blunders haha.
Ken and Isaac would be so much chaotic fun.
@@emisor9272 I think Isaac is chaos for chaos’ sake. Ken, especially now months later, understands the nuances of the game a lot better than Isaac. He’s also incredible at reading people.

Fang-tastic game! Adam played a blinder manipulating the worlds in town there, and Holly and Ken doing their best to look extremely suspicious successfully drew the heat and focus away from Dom!
So when will we get the full video of Blair doing a Megalovania cover on the ukulele? ;p
“…bludgeoned by blocks from where Jenny is from” is an incredible line by Laurie 😂 It made me laugh so much! And only Adam reacted to it, I guess everyone else was just so stressed it went over their heads! Great game!

The human equivalent of a one-year-old puppy, it doesn't matter what's happening, it's just cool to be involved and having fun regardless of the outcome.
I was kind of surprised that Ken's last defense didn't put them off. It was so flimsy, and maybe it's just because I know the truth, but to me it seemed _obviously flimsy on purpose._ Which is a huge red flag on the last chance to kill the demon.
They tend to fall for that kind of stuff a lot on the last day. Literally every time someone flubs a defense with a goofy mistake, the entire town gets into a "Yeah, we got him!" mood and they're shocked to find out they were fooled.
Absolutely no one was even trying to point out that whichever one of the evil twins was evil was content enough with Ken being lynched that they didn't even try and nominate anyone else. And hell, even Ken himself didn't nominate anyone himself!!! Only a minion does this on the deciding day.
I think its because of the evil twin. I can see them thinking Ken's the demon, but he doesn't care anymore if he dies, he thinks he'll win from the evil twin. Its kinda bullshit, but then again, it was tense, and sometimes your brain comes up with bullshit when its pressured
I think that was twice that someone brought up "it could have been a Fang Gu switch" in relation to Adam's death and then immediately dismissed it because they're convinced that the demon must be causing misinformation based solely on information from Adam and the person they already decided was the evil twin.
Honestly I think the best thing for Dan would have been to take the artist ability on night 2, and to just ask the 2+2 question. They wasted so much damn time fretting about a vortox. Plus he may well have prevented Sully and Pete's deaths since they wouldn't need to execute.

DAMN the amount of misinformation and different theories evil managed to spread this game was just amazing, and the bit where Adam and Pete were theorizing to eachother this episode of BotC was so amazing to watch! Great job to the NRB cast as well as daddy ben
I am so desperately begging them to please remember that the Fangu exists. The number of times they said Vortox and Nodashi... and did not say Fangu one fucking time.

49:07 Good point from Ben there regarding the bluffs, EXCEPT... Holly already has her bluff. In this case, Adam and Ken can share the Oracle and Dreamer with no worry about mucking up the Juggler bluff.
I could be mistaken but I imagine he said that bearing in mind that Adam might jump to Dom at some point with Dom requiring a different bluff, since 1. Claiming outsider would go directly against the world Adam and Holly were selling and 2. Would look suspicious in the late game as an outed outsider in a fang gu game.
More likely he meant they now can't use the juggler bluff to make fake juggles and spread more misinformation

- Day 1 savant info is explicitly impossible in either a Vortox or Vigor game. Once they killed Sully, Pete should have been 1000% sus of both Holly and Adam, because their information requires a Nodashi to have poisoned both.
- Day 1, when the two artist questions were revealed, Dom knows 100% Holly is the evil one. He cannot have the role he has in a Vortox or Nodashi game.
- Why did Dom get away with never claiming his own role to anyone lol
For day 1 savant: Both could have been true, because the information his role gave him has to be false and that information is that exactly one of those statements is correct.
@@WitherBossEntity Except it would be impossible for both to be true because the first ONLY can be true if it's a Vortox or Nodashii, and the second ONLY can be true if it's a Fang-Gu.
@WitherBossEntity vortox ALWAYS gives false info. So if it was vortox he'd always get 2 false phrases

Normally I live for the chaos of townsfolk receiving misleading information... but this is a great example of how a game with all good information can still be beautifully unraveled by an experienced evil team sowing doubt. Stellar plays, absolutely well done!
That was a really fun watch. Was on tenterhooks on day 3's nominations!
The evil team - particularly Adam - played fantastically. There was just the right amount of possible explanations thrown in there to muddy the waters without it being obvious that was what they were doing.
I don't understand half the things that happen in this game nor the strategies involved, at this point I watch these for the personalities. So there's a compliment in there for you guys. Amazing what you do here.

@@arthursimsa9005 I love the NRB crew however three players had all the info that would've solved this day 3 especially with Adam's slip-up but none of them jumped on it. Luke was really close.

@@Kuchiri They had a clockmaker 2 which based on the position of the twins had to be either Ken or Adam. Plus Pete's day 1 savant info eliminated vortox as a potential demon.

Ken and dom played the last vote absolutely perfectly. A well deserved win for the evil team
I think the fact that Dom nominated and what he said during the nomination was actually a pretty clear misstep, in Blair's position at that point I'd like to think it's pretty clear she has to counter nominate Dom. After vortox had been taken off the table she's confirmed good by 2 other players, which of course she knows aren't evil because they're confirming her good narrative. If she lets someone else nominate there's a 50/50 shot they're the demon is making that nomination and the one about to take the hit is obviously lying (he might as well have said it's me I'm the demon), and the one making the nomination is still denying she's the good twin while doing it. If Dom still openly thinks Blair is bad after confirmation she isn't, even if he were good he's telegraphing a vote against her on the next day. Everything in those last moments screamed push it back on Dom. (plus there was Adam's slip and his vote for Ken which was also ignored)
Holly couldn't make it because it would force Blair to counter, but if a significant portion of the ghost vote ignored the info confirming Blair it might have passed, Ken can't make it because he has no valid options except for himself which of course wouldn't pass. I think one of the twins should have had to be the final push for ghosts to join in, the last day and the day that could have come after were both referendums on which artist was real.
I'd say evil was pretty well backed into a corner at the end and both sides misplayed on that last vote given the actual info available to the players.
I really like the sects and violets game of having to find out which demon is in the game. It’s such an interesting dynamic with so many pieces of information pointing to multiple demons. I love the world creation for good and evil.

although to be fair, with an evil twin in play you really only need two bluffs because the evil twin is hard locked into bluffing as whatever their good twin is.
so it really doesn't matter that he didn't tell holly about juggler being a bluff, because she could never do that anyway. he did talk to the only other minion

It’s because Dom needs a bluff once he’s been converted, since if he claims outsider people will know what’s going on.

Ken’s final day play reminds me of Issac’s in the third game where he was the poisoner and Carley was the Imp. He obviously feigned innocence which made the town vote him and ignore the demon.

Woot, time for some Clocktower chaos! I hope this video gets people excited and pushes the Kickstarter past the stretch goal, really hoping for those two more episodes!
Pete improved noticeably between the previous game and this game.
I think Tilly is going to be good at this game once she's confident enough in this setting to speak up. You could see her working out what was going on, and there were a few times when I suspected she'd nailed it, but didn't say anything and got a little swept up by the narrative. Tilly, in the future, if you think he's good and you're onto something and you don't want to say it, you can run something by Sully. Sully is very good at separating testimony from speculation.
Ken is a chaos elemental, and I am here for it. I want to see at least one galaxy brain town plan from Ken.
Haven't watched yet, but VERY glad you posted a new episode before the Kickstarter ended, this should help get over the last hurdle I think

Well it does work.
But you have to trust the artist
In this case he could have gone Artist. Then you have 3 Artist checks and it has to be 2:1. So you can figure out which Artist twin is lying, thus getting the evil twin. After that, 2 jumps to Adam... The game could have gone the other way
@@skip2k845 100%. It would've been a better play because instead he got correct info and assumed it was wrong, as is a No Rolls Barred tradition. At least a Vortox couldn't screw up the artist play. (Although knowing how these games go, he maybe would still assume he was poisoned)

Damn, if Dan went artist on night 2, he could solve the twins issue real easily.
I love how the ending Part is just Holly doubting herself, because noones gonna trust her again and meanwhile Blair just plays her little guitar xD (could be a ukulele idk xd)
58:14 Just realized that Ben's opening statement to the Savant basically PROVED there wasn't a Vortox. Since in a Vortox game the Savant MUST get two pieces of false info, unless there were NO first night information gathering roles (Clockmaker would be the role here, and somewhat unlikely to be used as a evil bluff, because of its expendability), that statement would not be allowed in a Vortox game, since all info would be wrong, and that would be a true statement. Good thing to remember for story tellers!

Man, being evil twin artist could be so much more fun than it often is. Day 1, openly declare the situation, argue that the Vortex question isn't useful because it would just lead to the twins arguing all game. Instead, ask the group to create 2 different questions for the artists to ask so the group can determine the liar over time. The evil team has more info, so evil twin can steer the group to pick a question where they are always right more often then good players and the evil team can work to make the good twin look like a liar. Bam, goes from twins being a role with no clear advantage to giving the evil team vote advantage while making the evil twin look trustworthy enough to guide the party down the wrong path.

There was a guaranteed win that night you were discussing that no one mentioned. If Ken had figured who was going to die, a self-curse would have sent it to final 3 with demon and twins. obviously that's hard to spot in the moment but it was an option
