Everything Wrong With The A-Team In 16 Minutes Or Less

- In 2010 they made an A-Team movie. Most of us have forgotten about it--or tried to. Today, we all remember whether we want to or not, as we recount all the sins we found; there were many.
Thursday, more military sins, with shouting.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins do YOU want to see recounted?

There was supposed to be a sequel, but for some reason the studio didn't think it was going to be profitable.
The movie was silly but I love it.

The B-Team
Yeah... no 😅
Perfect example of how sins (and saltiness) doesnt mean bad movie. Great acting, awesome fun action, good dialogue, decent plot as long as you dont take it too seriously. Hell of a fun movie
@@FernandoAvelarifyThe guys who played the original A Team said it sucked ass too
@@salamisumo2 I think he was just salty he wasn't in it, most actors seem the be that way
I liked this movie. The actors had good chemistry and it was good, mindless action and fun without needing to set up exposition for ten other tie-in movies in the same universe.

The humvee driving thru the wall while they're watching a humvee in a movie is the best intro ever.
That was 3D to all you needed was the 3D glasses!
To be fair? That kinda thing would have absolutely been in the original show.
I thought it was the best scene in the whole movie!!!! Talk about 3D how much more 3d could it get, then the patient reaction totally made that scene the best!!!!!!!
Anyone else notice the credits rolling on the 3D screen before the Hummer broke though or Dr's name on the toe tag? Nice Easter eggs!

You guys should do Schindler's List.
It's 3 hours full of Liam Neeson not killing anyone.
Ha! Good one.
there would have to be a bonus round for the amount of times liam neeson isn't killing anyone in this scene.
now that's one really morbid joke

it is the exact opposite of liam neeson killing someone. He is actually saving people. That has to bee a couple sins in one

6:03: Sins the movie for the A-Team's plan going perfectly.
13:18: Sins the movie for the A-Team's plan going badly.
0:44: Sins the movie for Hannibal planning for every eventuality.
12:29: Sins the movie for Hannibal not having a plan.
I love it when CinemaSins consistency comes together.
Well, if they have 80 successfully completed missions, Hannibal has a plan for everything, etc., then they need the consistency that Hannibal has a plan and that it completes without a problem. Otherwise it's a continuity error and irrational to say that Hannibal always has a plan and they always work flawlessly.
I think that Cinemasins itself is a cinemasin on his own
I love it when all the people that take EWW too seriously come together to all look like bellends

Liam Neeson isn't killing anyone because it's the A-team.. They never could aim for shit. Nobody ever died.
The A-Team. Where no one dies - they just get boo-boos.

Whaaat? I'm gonna have to search that.
Did the episode revolve around it, or was it incidental?
Actually one guy did in the season 3 episode "Skins". A game warden in Kenya caught these guys killing elephants for their tusks and the poachers killed him and sent him and his jeep over a cliff.

I know. This show was one of my favorites growing up. I thought they did a pretty good job with the movie.
Amazing Movie, this guy has a stick up his ass. It's the A-Team, it's not a true story.
It was boring. The story was absurdly hard to follow. I felt like I was watching Transformers. So much going on yet I was not even a bit invested.
@@talandelana6873 sounds like you never watched the actual A-Team tv series. True fans were already invested. Plus comparing things to the transformers is a compliment. It's an action comedy not a non fictional documentary. HAVE SOME FUN FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!

This movie was actually fun, charismatic and diverse for a blockbuster. It actually stands out for me .
If I'm gonna be honest.... I fucking loved this movie. It's in my Top 50 Favorites of All Time. The acting was great, the story is solid and the action is over the top in an awesome way. Yeah it's not perfect and it can get cartoony at times but let's be honest here, was the shit they pulled off in the TV show (which I consider superior btw) any less or more cartoony?.
The A-Team in my opinion kicked ass and is one of the better modern action movies out there.
Same, I had great fun with this film, but for the same reason that made me enjoy transformers: goofy action.
Dont take it personal. Cinema Sins can destroy any movie. Thats what makes them so great!
That's probably not something you should admit to others.
I usually don't like movies like this. I was bored of the first transformers movie and so much so in the second I left early. Still I would agree with you. The movie is nowhere near perfect. I don't even like it as an A-team movie and I consider it to lack respect for source material, but watching it just as a really fun movie with cartoon-like impossible tricks, actually funny jokes and liam neeson being badass, I do have to admit I liked it. Maybe it's because a-team wasnt my childhood, it was just a series I picked up later on in life, I don't know. I did hate the last airbender movie for raping the series, but I would have forgiven the shitting on source material if they would have made an actually entertaining movie, instead of a boring turdpile with poor effects.
Tuomas Sadeniemi Have you seen the "source material" recently? While I loved it as a kid, it was a horrible show.
I love this movie. Seen it 10 times. I admit its garbage, but its really fun for some reason.
Its Murdock that makes this movie great
This movie and "The Losers" (which I like a LOT) both seem alike...did anyone notice that?
RF Commander Alec Mason They're very alike. The Losers came first though, as a DC comic in the 70s. The A-Team was a TV show in the 80s obviously. But the A-Team movie has been in production for like 20 years, and The Losers just started production in 2009. I haven't seen The Losers and now I really want to lol

Sir Doge Logan Loveday *Sigh* The two of you are really arguing just for the sake of arguing, aren't you? He said "fucking"- "freaking" works just as well- but without malicious intent, it's not cursing. And NO, Logan; saying a curse word is not the same as cursing. That's ridiculous -.-

Aydan O'Hara WHERE'S MY INCEPTION SOUND
As a german, I have to point out that when the Camera shows the "Frankfurt" Train Station, the one really shown is that of Cologne, despite the subtitles saying Frankfurt.
Still enjoyed that movie though.
That's the kind of thing which doesn't really matter, but makes you wonder why they didn't just google it so they don't ruin suspension of disbelief for the people who know the locations.. It's bad for British people as London is regularly misused in Hollywood.
+MoreImbaThanYou Correct. And I'm sorry, but Cologne and Frankfurt really look nothing alike.
And would it have been a bad thing to place the scene in Cologne if that's where they wanted to film? Why was that mistake even necessary?
And the fact that they drop into some Austrian lake while saying it's in Germany..
I never watched the movie so I'm curious as to why they had a Swiss license plate for the car. Did they come from Zurich or is it just more random shenanigans to include one more German speaking country?
Quoting from ze Wikipedia: «The entire film was shot at various locations in Canada including Kamloops, Vancouver, Cache Creek and Ashcroft,[12] British Columbia, with much of the studio works being done at Mammoth Studios.[10][13][14][15] Other footage was included as well, such as aerial shots of the Cologne train station (though erroneously referred to as Frankfurt Central Station in the movie) as well as an aerial shot of the Frankfurt skyline.[16] Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake is also featured in the German escape scene where a number of base buildings and landmarks are clearly visible, as is the false canopy painted under the CF-18s.» They were never on location… and with the Cologne/Frankfurt fuckup, they might not even have known it's the wrong license plate.
THE TANK SCENE deserves sins off, that scene is so fun to watch!
I love how the big lift-the-container-to-reveal-the villain thing at the finale was somehow part of Face's plan, even though the entire harbor infrastructure is blown to pieces and getting a crane (and the army) there so fast must have been a real logistics nightmare
that scene was so sick
There are even more sins, if you are from Germany - espacially if you are from Frankfurt. That one shot of Frankfurt Central Train Station? That was Cologne. "FF" ist not the car sign for Frankfurt (Main) but for Frankfurt (Oder). The Bodensee ist not close to Frankfurt. The US Embassy ist not located in Frankfurt. Our Emergency Number is not '109' but '112' or '110'. And last but not least: The US-Ariforce Base in Mannheim has no F-18 Jets.
Its over 300 Kilometers from Frankfurt Main to the Bodensee.
Americans and the Brits referring to Köln as Cologne let me believe that they were 2 different cities until I was 18.
and FF-92485 isnt a legal german license plate.
Also...
11:16 German lane markers and cabs are not yellow.
11:30 That's not how any skyscraper in Frankfurt looks like.
12:50 Angela Merkel in the background.

i do. i dont get the hate. it's the freakin A-Team. the show wasnt known for a great story or anything. the show was stupid and goofy but in a good way just like the movie. i think people just expected a 'smart' movie instead of what they got... which while not perfect was essentially the A-Team.
No, you're not!
The "hate" is from too cool for the room ass wipes who lick the taint of whatever some trendy review guy throws at them. Seriously, it's a good fucking movie and I watched the show!
i find the hate is in some cases valid. such as:
-the movie wasnt as campy as the show
-the A-Team actually kill people
-i didnt like it, just not my thing
while i may not agree with them i can accept that they just have a love for the campy tv show and the movie did not succeed at that. what they miss though is that the movie was exactly what the A-Team was supposed to be but due to censorship wasnt allowed to be.
who cares though people arent required to like everything. but then there are the people who just hate it to hate it and act like it's the worst thing ever. this isnt Twilight dang it!
I saw this a while back in theaters & the projector broke twice before the film end most of the fans have to go the next room to finish the film where it left off "don't you hate it when that happens" cause I did & yes I enjoy "A-team" very much
The one thing the A-team taught me as a kid is that you can throw a grenade under a jeep, flipping it 20 feet in the air, and the guys in it will dust themselves off and just be a little disoriented for it.
Also, that submachine guns are only good for shooting up the bad guy's office, they never hit anyone even if you aim it at them.
The best part is when they make a tank out of junkyard junk! This movie lacked that 'ingenuity and creativity' from the A-Team. This movie was your generic action movie about soldiers.

That last bit was unnecessary.
Amen brotha
***** "It was as if that scene was written by a Creationist."
You spelled "cartoonist" wrong.
Benjamin Abruzzo No. I meant to use the word Creationist, not cartoonist. I don't mean to nitpick about physical laws in films. I can make allowances for some exaggeration Every action film, to some degree, is unrealistic. TacComControl Also the extended versions don't matter.
There should be a sin added for even HAVING an extended version when the original version was already way too long.
Chris Parkhurst false. The extended version of anything is the only acceptable version

The tank scene would work out with physics and luck. The tank was an electric hybrid so could have driven from the lake. The parachutes dimensions are the same as the ones used on the dragon space capsule and the math with just one operational has the tank falling at 35mph. The shots shooting downward wouldn't have slowed the tank but might have broke the surface tension on the water....not saying it would be as pleasant as the movie makes it out to be but it might have been survivable.
I appreciate your hard work guys. thanks for the laughs
Cinemasins, Mythbusters proved that it is plausible to survive how the tank decelerated from the fall.

TheCPonder7 I agree. The thing is that this movie was supposed to be way over the top like a lot of 80s action movies were, and Pacific Rim was just pure crap. Charlie Hunnam couldn't even remember that he was supposed to be doing an American accent, and Charlie Day didn't make me laugh once.

So one thing about the cremation scene that is really egregious and doesn't make sense if you have a passing knowledge of either cremation, the human body, or arson is that tendons have a nasty tendency to contract when a body starts to burn. During prep for cremation, the mortician (or whatever the hell you call a person who performs the cremation, I'm not a linguist) severs them. Unless he had an "in" with the morticians, they would have realized he was alive when he started bleeding when they cut into him. Which brings up another thought: why didn't they do an autopsy? You generally want to know what kills your prisoners so that, if it's something you can control, you know what to do. And if he had an in with the morticians enough for them to not open him up or anything, then why does he have to be put in the crematorium in the first place.
+1 Sin.
Also, plus one sin to me for letting that comment go from "Little bit of trivia" to "Description of Sin".
+1 Sin.
Is it me or is Cinema Sins is pissed off about this movie? There's lots of movies that are worse.
I don't think it's anything personal, but there are a lot of coincidences. The Hummer busting through the wall just at the time the hummer in the movie was approaching was a little TOO coincidental or perfect timing for even me to believe, and I'm the guy who likes Wild Wild West and Stealth among other traditionally bad movies.
This movie is especially bad when you compare it to its source material. Also, the writing is absolutely horrible.
ChakatBlackstar I suppose, but the hummer part was funny though
It's a bad movie and a cash grab using an established and loved franchise.
This was supposed to be an over-the-top, ham-fisted action-comedy that didn't even TRY to exist within the realms of reality, but instead we a reboot origin story that was much more interesting when told in the show.
6:55 some later episodes mentioned the backstory and season 5 had them back on trial for same crimes only to escape again. Although they then went to actually work for the govt on a work toward freedom deal
15:05 murdock was the guy who got shot
Also a big sin should be the movie recording of the a team theme being played at the end of the movie!!! Just like there was no van after the beginning.
Loved It Either Way...So Nostalgic Since I Used To Watch Old School Shows Late Night As A Kid
1:55 Before rescuing Face, B.A. and Hannibal had time to wash the van.
Yeah, a helicopter can barrel roll.
Do a barrel roll
Yeah well, not all helicopters, and it takes a lot more space and altitude than what they had... Plus, in that incline, yeah no.
*Aileron Roll
Agreed with the right copter. But in this movie, they were just flying upside down for a while. The foil (shape) of the rotating blades wouldn't allow this. Remember it isn't just downdraft keeping the copter in the air. It is also lift generated by the blade's air foil shape. Just like an airplane wing.
Omegeddon The rolls helicopters do are actually closer to barrel rolls than aileron rolls ;) (The more you know...)
Nice!
One of your best comments/ jokes!!
8:53, in that scene the humvee's back left tire was shot and flat, seconds later it is the back right tire seen being the flat one
we need "the prometheus school of running away from things" on a t-shirt.
You may not have been a helicopter scientist, but your definitely right, if a helicopter went upside down, then the lift from the props would drag it straight into the ground, and they would all die, plus, helicopters don't recover that easily from a stall, so in five minutes they have already died twice :/
Not the lift sorry, the drag :P
Also, helicopters cant even stall, if you pulled up to much you would get dragged over backwards and dip straight into the ground, this movie is really illogical isn't it?
Archie Fulford No, I think it is the lift from propeller that would drag it down, because the propeller is intended to pull the helicopter up, and if the helicopter is upside-down, then instead of pulling it up, it would pull it down.
Leo B well, it can be said either way, like GIF and JIF (literal spellings pf course), there both correct ways to say it, it could be drag because the props are DRAGGING the plane up, OT it could be life, because the lift is lifting the plane up
Archie Fulford "Drag" in aerodynamics is always used to refer to the air (or any other fluid) pushing against an aircraft in the direction opposite of the direction in which said craft is moving (e.g. when a helicopter is moving forward, drag is pushing it backward), especially when it's used as a noun. You were right the first time- it's lift.
I'm just so happy you referenced The Losers. I love that movie.
This was the best reimagining of a series.
Man I have watched this movie and its a bad sign when you don't remember anything at all. I don't remember anything. It must have been that bad that my mind is like "Okay, I'm outta here for a couple of hours"
I grew up on the TV show and I saw this movie twice in theaters so that tells you how much I enjoyed the film.
I liked it
Me too in the span of 6 days
I really liked this film. Had lots of good comedy moments especially with Murdock and the action was decent. "You spin me right round baby right round.. rotors are good sir"
"Using a phone number that starts with 555 cliche!"
It's not a cliche if it applies to all the movies.
They are required to use the 555 phone number because if they put a real phone number in a movie there will be morons who try to call it.
Extra sin: The window of the building they are in that is supposed to be Germany is actually Vancouver.
I pity the fool....that declares himself to be first!
What about second?
Yeah! 69th FTW!
Never retire your awesome

Is it just me, or am I the only one who loved the A-team movie?
AMEN Brother!
I actually enjoyed it too
Controlling a falling tank by firing shots of the main gun while attached to a parachute is still not the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a film.
The most ridiculous thing I've seen in a film is James Bond chasing a falling airplane on a dirt bike, over the side of a mountain and catching up to it getting into the cockpit and returning it to a flying attitude before it crashes in the mountains in front of them well when it was well beyond his reach before he even tried it.
You know - I see all the flaws, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t one fo my favorite (and guilty pleasure) movies that I can watch over and over.
Love this film! Also can't stop watching all the cinema sins of the films I love and sit here cracking up.
I am german and here are my 3 additional sins.
They are present at Frankfurt, Germany. But with a closer look you see a cathedral at the right side. This cathedral and the central station are located in Cologne, Germany - they are about 220 km apart.
The German police cars show the number "109" as the emergency telephone code, but the German code to call the police is "110" and "112" for the fire brigade/rescue.
When the team's supposedly in Frankfurt, Germany, you can see yellow cabs. Cabs in Germany are always colored sort of dirty white/beige.
Regular helicopter physics don't apply when Murdock is the pilot. He does what he wants in the air.
Ah. One of my all time favourite movies of all time...
