- This is the first Sabrina segment from the first episode of 1977's "The New Archie/Sabrina Hour", which was later split into the two shows, "Bang Shang Lalapalooza Show" and "Sabrina, Superwitch." This segment, titled "Alter Ego," sees the appearance of Sabrina's evil look-alike cousin Damina (sp). After Sabrina's aunts accidentally bring Damina to Riverdale through a spell gone wrong, Sabrina must catch the high-flying miscreant before she does too much damage around town.
The episodes that comprised "The New Archie/Sabrina Hour" (and later "Bang Shang Lalapalooza Show" and Sabrina, Superwitch") are compiled in the Region 4 DVD release, "The Archie and Sabrina Surprise Package." No Region 1 release of this set has been planned to date.
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Archie, Riverdale, and references therein are part of the Filmation library owned by Classic Media.
"I want to forget you just the way you are." Holy Hell, that has to be one the best lines ever.
This is so much better than that piss-awful Dic cartoon. Sabrina is so pretty and charming.
Who remembers Sabrina’s evil alter ego/ twin in the live action show named Katrina.
Yeah- trying to emulate "Serena" on "BEWITCHED" and Jeannie's devious sister on "I DREAM OF JEANNIE".

I love Sabrina! Ever since I watched these cartoons in the 80s, I fell in love with her!

Sabrina ..was a old comic book from the 70's
Sabrina first appeared in "Archie's Mad House" in the October 1962 issue, and quickly became the "star character". She then shifted to "Archie's T.V. Laugh-Out" in 1969 (after she became a part of "THE ARCHIE COMEDY HOUR" that fall, leading to her own series in 1970). Her own comic was first published in 1971.
Shades of Serena/Samantha...Genie and her Sister...oh well...more copycats of that format

You can tell this is the NBC version of the series, because, unlike the CBS episodes, there's NO LAUGH TRACK.
I thought it was ABC who took the series up back then at that point

Actually, the New Archie and Sabrina Hour, later split into two shows, did have laugh tracks. It was that when it was syndicated as the Archie and Sabrina Surprise Package in the 1980s, the laugh tracks were removed, possibly due to laugh tracks not being in cartoons (post-1981) anymore at the time.
I wished I had viewed it back then, but NBC cancelled it before I had the chance. :(

This was another example of NBC-TV trying to capitalize on former CBS Saturday morning
cartoon hits. as NBC aired reruns of the original "SPACE GHOST",before doing "SPACE
STARS" in 1981,their "NEW ARCHIE/SABRINA HOUR",which changed into two tittles durring
its brife(and final)run was anything,but the success it was expected to be. and even though
Filmation did this newer version,,it couldn't come anywhere close to the CBS versions,when
the series was launched in Fall 1968,and the spin-offs,
MONGOOSE1ful NBC also repeated "The Alvin Show" (which was originally a prime time CBS show) and Frankenstein Jr. on Saturday mornings in the late 1970's. I wonder if they had a shortage of new programs?

I think it's supposed to be "Demeana" like in "demeaning". Sabrina is sweet, but her opposite cousin, Demeana, is MEAN.
Didn't they do this same shtick on BEWITCHED with Samantha Stevens' dark-haired cousin Serena? ALSO played, of course, by Elizabeth Montgomery in a black wig.

Filmation always had the same VAs doing the voices over and over again in all of their cartoons.

Jane Webb did ALL the female voices. Fortunately, she was a veteran of radio dramas, and could "juggle" so many voices at one time. She was probably given the direction, "Make Demeana sound as EVIL as possible."

Uhhh I hope they were kind enough to get poor Damina out of that bubble gum before they sent her back, but I doubt it. Damina is not bad, she just had a little too much Quisp for breakfast.
First time Ive ever seen an episode of Super Witch,it was still better then most of the HB cartoons that was on TV at the time.

But that's exactly how they looked in the original comic book stories the cartoon is based on. There was at least one that acknowledged the gag by having Miss Grundy dress up in a witch's costume for a Halloween party and get mistaken for Sabrina's Aunt Hilda. (The green-haired one is Aunt Zelda -- but aside from being chubby and having glasses, she really looks nothing like Mr. Weatherbee. Completely different nose.)

In this final Filmation Archie/Sabrina series, Sabrina is dating Reggie. Harvey is gone .
@tonycanabal1659 Harvey disappeared after the first season of the earlier Sabrina cartoons. Spencer, Ophelia, Hot Dog Jr. and Chili Dog also disappeared. I wonder if Don Messick, who voiced most of these characters wasn't allowed to do anymore voicework for rival studio Filmation?
