1) It was entertaining, people & judges literally shat their pants of laughter (Cowell doesn't count, he's a prick)
2) It took real skill. Seriously, try to do the same without soiling your pants to kingdom come.
3) It was original, refreshing... maybe odd, but interesting.

I work where this show was filmed, Cowell's dressing room is better furnished than most people's entire house !
This was filmed at the theatre where I work. There's about 20 cameras filming at the same time, and an unmanned camera on a crane for the sweeping, shots, plus guys with handheld cameras. The segments ( Interview, Ant and Dec dicking about, audience applause/reaction ) are all filmed ( and re-filmed )seperatley not neccasserily at the same time or even day , it's just all patched together afterwards to make it look continous.

*Edit* We've had a Japanese farter on the auditions now. He could only do short farts, missed a giant balloon twice and only hit it when Simon moved it closer when he tried to fart darts at it. He got 3 yeses, one from Amanda and one from Simon. Mr Methane is well better than him
