Sorry to be that person but this tutorial started out very good, but then he starts jumping over CRUCIAL points in this tutorial. Now I am stuck and don't know how to get the shader in unreal engine. So i wouldn't recommend this if you are like me and need people to showcase the whole progress and not just suprise you with steps.

I've been stuck on hair forever. Might get into this. I really want to know how ppl go about rendering particles without using hair cards though. I know Maya and Unreal have some kind of system for exporting but I forgot what it's called...alembic or something.

The description on FlippedNormals mentions using the addon "Hair Tools" for Blender. Is this the excellent "Hair Tool" by Bartosz Styperek? I see it in your N-panel in the video but no mention.

I'm trying to figure out how to render fur on hair cards. I have a character (Luposian) that right now, looks great, but probably not usable in a game engine, because his fur is all individual strands (I think). Trying to render him in Eevee ruins him (makes him a black and white monstrosity). So, someone mentioned "hair cards". Can I use the exact same hair/fur effect on "hair cards", to make rendering faster/easier and therefore, make him more game-playable?

This series of tutorials is not beginner friendly. Theres a point in the creation of the hair cards that is glossed over and I have been stuck on it forever. I feel bad because the creator clearly knows what hes doing but I cant get my strands to properly work with the bezier curves like what hes doing
