Perkons HD-0 1 - First Jam (I wish it has six voices)

- Hi folks,
in this video the beats are back with Perkons HD-01. It´s a real thunder machine. In the front of the speakers the Perkons sounds super fat and loud....but I wish it has six voices for more standalone feeling. Let me know what you´re thinking, please leave a comment...I hope, you like my first exploration with this great machine...
And sorry for the not so good screen quality because my mobile camera is a little bit broken:( but I like to share it with you.

Great to hear a jam that's not gabber on this machine. Been following it for a while, if it dips below $1500 on Reverb I may consider it. Having played it, it sounds great, and it's super immediate. I have to echo my disappointment with the Pulsar folks as a former owner...oh well, there are people who love it too.
Sorry about your experience. I see the perkons as the perfect sibling to the pulsar however. Got rid of all my drum machines of the past decade. There’s almost no comparison between the two except they have powerful sounds and 4 voices with deep functionality. I almost always send everything to the sampler however, so synchronicity isn’t so significant. I mess with the internal sequencers when I start from scratch.

They just added another month to my arrival date . Small towns always get new preorders last . Of course there isn’t even a real music store in our town either . I hope they do a firmware update to make the different directions wait until the end of the bar to keep it tighter in a performance. I guess being last in line let’s me see everyone finding the issues with it ahead of time but it’s still the best thing out there period . Frustrating.👽😖
Thanx for your comment! Yes, that’s frustrating that you wait so long for your device. I had luck to got mine. I wait for a further firmware update to fix some other thing…if you like to play a trigger every two times or four times etc, it will work but if you put an automation on this step you hear every time the step, one with trigger and one step without trigger signal but you hear the automation on this step. Six voices would be 50% harder to manage from a UI point of view. And it has step locks so no need really.
I wish it had more versatile hat and snare channels.
Thanx for your comment and stoped by! In the meanwhile it needs not more than six voices! You’ve right with step locks…but it needs a firmware update to fix the step locks with the cons…sometimes if there is a step lock the cons doesn’t work! Greetings 🖖😅
What you think is a better Techno Machine: The Pērkons or the Alpha Base
Thank you for your interest. I never had the alpha base under my fingers but I‘m thinking both devices are great techno machines!
It needs 6 voices at least then it would be the best! I went with a Rytm for more flexible options but would love to get a Perkons and an LXR02 to add to the mix as sounds very different than the drums of the Rytm and Jomox!
I love a great drum machine . This sounds absolutely great. Likewise the Pulsar sounds very electro techno good. The Rytm cannot be knocked either.
Having owned 2 soundmasters , a 909 and a Machinedrum
The best drummachine so far would be the Gotharman Spazedrum.
Not knocking the forementioned.
The Perkons , Pulsar and Spazedrum allow the woke generation to stop spending hard earned cash on Roland boxes and start Moving electronic music as it should be. Progressive machines for progressive minds.
Best demo of this great machine I have heard yet. Great one box jam.

Is it possible to link two HD-01 so you can get the 6 voices?
connect via MIDI? Then have 8 voices? So 4k to get what. a Rytm has and cost 2x as much lol
Sounds great. But the rytm can get pretty close to this sound and more. For less money

The big advantage of the rytm mk2 over the Perkons is the ability to load and record your own samples.

Yeah. It looks and sounds dope, but $2K+ for a four voice drumsynth? Kinda absurd (as is the Pulsar).
For me this was the best music machine new I have played in a long time. I would want dedicated LFO's if they added more voices. At least it can do sound locks.

I agree Pulsar is ridiculous price. You are paying for a small boutique instrument that’s built like a brick shithouse. And the Pulsar sounds good, but not 2k good.
@@christopherpederson1021 You mention it as a physical instrument. This kind of item is a niche within a niche. It’s like arguing over expensive guitars and saying your Amazon Basics guitar will do all the same. Yeah, the vintage guitar doesn’t sound 500 times better. But the amount of time, labor, and resources is significantly more to produce than the cheap version. The value of the experience is subjective, but clearly something demanded on some meaningful scale. No one would look at these machines and think they’re necessary or would even improve their productions.

or get an LXR02 and use then no issues. Less expensive to get an LXR02 to use with Perkons.
