Zac & Ashlyn "Have a Great & Blessed Thanksgiving Day"!!🦃 It was awesome to watch the turkey butchering process, those turkeys were huge! I spent $125.00 and got a 20lb turkey free, but it doesn't compare to home raised. I cringe when the giblets were throwed away, lots of nutrition value. Diced up gizzard browned in skillet then added to gravie, yum yum! I also save necks, heart, gizzard, liver boil clean meat off bones you have a great chunky stock for amazing turkey noodle soup!! Stay Safe and Enjoy!!!! Great video!!!!

first year raising chickens and turkeys, raised only 3 turkeys, but did them waaaaaaayyyyyy to early lol,! the smallest was 22 pounds, then 34, and 51 pounds! NEVER seen a 51 pound bird dressed before, they seem a little easier to dress than chickens because the body cavity is larger, but will do probably 10 next year and have them smaller!

We recently started on a similar journey, working to restore/remodel generational farmhouse property and slowly starting to learn and get into raising our food eventually. I also enjoy similar channels, whether vlog or educational. Ours is more vlog type at the moment bc we just got our first laying chickens this past summer. 😊

We’re hoping to raise turkey in the future. I’m. It sure if we should slowly add new animals each year or to just go all in next year with meat chickens, turkey, AND pigs. 😊 it’s intimidating to think about but I kinda wanna do all three but maybe do a smaller number of each 😊. I love seeing other younger couples on a similar journey. ❤. god Bless! 😊

I watched Sheraton park farms video and they said that they take way less time to cook than a supermarket one and to cook it by temperature and not by weight. I thought that was interesting.

so talk to me about how long it actually took to process them? Is it like when you hang mini blinds in that the first one takes 20 minutes and the last one you do takes 30 seconds or was it basically the same amount of time for each turkey?
