@@DizConnected It is harder to make a video than you think LOL and I had two different pads rounded ends and flat ones, On forced rotation I like the rounded ends
Nice job and it's great to watch PROs work their magic. Man, I do miss the Ford 427 and 428 Cobra engine days. Now, those were the 8-9 second Mustangs to beat.
My uncle has been a body and paint man his whole life and works at the salvage yard.He rebuilds copart vehicles we buy to resale. He has definitely taught me alot on doing body work as well. Mustangs looking good man😁
I have a 7" rotors, a porter cable da 5"/6" and just broke down and got a Hercules forced rotation that you showed in this video. Haven't used it yet, but I'm sure it will work faster than the porter cable. Thanks for the great content. Lol us older guys need to show the kids how we did things. Lol they say they have it hard. So sad 🤣
I like the DA polisher I’ve been detailing vehicles since 18 years plus. And find the rotary cuts a lot quicker and efficient. I use my da for polish and glaze.
Hey, brother, man, I just wanted to say. I was looking forward to buying the Hercules polisher. I actually got the the Baver $69 which is the smaller one smaller version of Baver, but I actually like the action and the way it works, I want to upgrade to the either the bigger at the long Baver or the Hercules. But I have a feeling that. After watching your informative video, I think I'm going to make the decision to buy the Hercules as well polisher great video. Thank you for all your information.
It’s because he’s using it like a rotary, you’re supposed to use it more like a DA, this video gives an example of that. czcams.com/video/bUUHK0slKc0/video.html
Question ....Admittedly I am new to polishers so I have watched about 30 videos on how to do it and you are the only one that uses the leading edge of the pad while other detailers stress keeping the pad perfectly flat to the paint. Do you feel your method is superior?
most of the pads they use are flat the one I use have a curve to them and this one is forced rotation and not like the other guys pressing flat and the DA style doesn't burn the paint standing still forced will
How many cars have you had in car craft or hot rod magazine we never had the Da-type polishers back in the day so I decided to try it and the forced rotation is similar to the normal big polishers ...I am 62 now and Im sure I can still lay down paint and polish ... but I still learn something new everyday @@paul9912
But still new to the small polishers and will try your way because I learn something new every day and polishers and pads have advanced so much ... Im still old school but adjusting to your new ways .... the polish I was using was an all in one by norton it goes from course to fine ..I think the 3m heavy would of been better to start
It is so cool to watch a old school paint guy, such a lifetime of knowledge available. Please keep posting and dropping such great advice.
Thank you made my day
I want to thank you for the opportunity to compare the two polishers and assess the differences between them
Great side by side demonstration. Keep the vids coming 🤝
It would work a whole lot bettert if you ran the FR polisher flat instead of at a angle....... FYI
Hard to do one handed LOL
@@mustangrebuilder Wait, wasn't the camera on a tripod? What was the other hand doing?!!!

I also learn from you young guys every day
Adam, great video comparing new vs. old. They don’t make stuff like they use to. Keep’m coming brother. Fran

Let me know how it works out
I bought the same da buffer/polisher and I think it's a good value.
why didn't you run the Herc 'flat' - all of the pad on the paint?
It was not a wool pad and its a forced rotation and da so it acts like the big rotary you saw me use
A million different ways to polish
@@conwaysdetailing387 You are 100% correct

Great video. An inspiration for us DIYers- old guys without experience.
BTW, we( my son and I) have a '98 Cobra convertible. Black of course. Oh boy does it look shape after buffing.
Would love to see a comparison of the Bauer DA and the Hercules Forced Rotation polishers
Perhaps I will do it
I can tell you off the top that a da cannot touch a forced rotation polisher.
I’m an old guy but good to learn something new. Thanks

great video! just picked up this hercules polisher and it has been awesome!
Great to hear brother
Good video, I may buy one!
Try some sonax cutmax or perfect finish or 3-D one with the flex knock off. U get some amazing results l. Great video brother!! 👍🏻
Will try it out
Morning Adam that car turned out nice!
Nice car BTW !
Thanks!
I detail cars…nice review. I like the force rotation of the DA for sure
Look nice, you did a good job.
Been considering this buffer i bought the bauer but ill probably end up getting this one too
Btw what size is your shop
30 deep 40 wide … paint booth is 16 w 30 deep
You can still use the Bauer on something you dont want to burn
Another great video Adam keep up the great videos.
I tested the hercules but the flex 3401 still has more power so I returned the hercules, was still lacking on the power. Good for a beginner though.
Good 👍
Great video
Thank you so much for this video متشکرم
You are very welcome
Too much polish on that pad! Also stop tilting it... it's meant to run flat.
Got ya ... I was doing it one handed
