Srsly though. My truck has a sound system that was put in by someone who had it b4 me, but it is WAY to xtreme for the truck. If you were to blast it absolute max, I would not be surprised to see things warping, and/or glass cracking. The person before me seriously went OVERKILL on the sound system.

Stay open to music, keep observing. I know a lot of people who listened to heavy metal exclusively in their 30s, then they found stuff that was different, stuff like this. There's a whole world of sound that conveys emotions other than the ones we feel in our frustration years. And I promise it will be worth your trouble.

If some one deaf from birth asked me to try and communicate what music was, I would show them this video. Every move, gesture and look seems to capture the essence of the song and communicate the emotion and feeling that floods your body when listening to a powerful song you love. A truly magical video and touching/outstanding performance by the Icelandic beauty featured.
I understand what you mean: you’re talking about literally hearing the music, but it might surprise you to know that even fully deaf people do still listen/enjoy music as much and often as hearing people do. I didn’t know this for a long time. They feel the songs through vibration and they usually blast their music. :)

First of all, OMAM is an amazing band, and their lyrics are the best I've ever heard, so their songs can be interpreted in several ways... But Empire is pretty straight forward.
Imagine the rain being a metaphor for tears. You will go through so much pain in life, every day might be sour and your vision "cloudy," but from that awful experience you will grow as a person (you will build an empire for yourself).
The entire song's about that, not just the chorus, but the rest of the song can be, as I said, interpreted in many ways.

It's been three years now and I keep coming back to this song. I've looked up the interpretation of the lyrics a few different times during that time to try to understand why it makes me feel the way that it does and what I've come to realize is that the words mean something different depending on where you are in your life I suppose. At 48, I realize through my own life experiences just how difficult life can be and the weight of everything that comes with it, but through love and companionship, becoming one with another, there is strength, courage and ultimately hope for an enduring future. This song is just that for me, hope for a lasting happiness... "Heavy stones fear no weather".

I visited Iceland back in 2015, when this video came out. I saw this video over and over cause I liked the song and the beautiful woman in it.
On Iceland I went to the Blue Lagoon hot springs.
I was totally surprised when I actually saw this woman in the hot spring bathing at the same time as me.
Back home in Sweden, I did a small investigation and I found this woman on the Blue Lagoon website😮❤.
Therefore this song is very special to me.
