Every Christmas I would watch the Queens speech, watch her on state visits etc. All of my generation grew up with her, she was like our surrogate granny. I'm so lucky to be born under her reign. My future children will be born under the reign of her son, his majesty King Charles 3. Maybe we will have another badass monarch who will rule, but our QE2 will forever in our hearts!

An impressive and moving procession. Far better than any nation I can think of, Britain knows how to say farewell to its head of state. Not just the pomp and pageantry of an ancient nation, but the solemnity and heartfelt feeling of the armed forces and people are so evident in this.

The most moving part to me-- and all was magnificent-- was the bow of the horns as the hearse went by. The horns were lowered to the ground, a beautiful and poignant show of sadness and respect. 🇬🇧
Correction, sorry-- i think they were the flags of the British military services, not horns (this was shown briefly in the video, couldn't tell before, sorry--) Even more significant and moving 🇬🇧
@@2Hearts3 They were standards (flags) of the Royal British Legion. The Royal British Legion is a UK-wide charity who assist veterans. Other military standards were lowered though when the coffin passed.

It was just amazing, I was down the Mall for it. I bet Charles heard those drums pounding in his sleep for a few nights afterwards. A magnificent send-off for a magnificent Queen. The massed pipes and drums were wonderful! I'm sleeping down the Mall for the Coronation next week, can't wait!

Trust in God and be a good king, and at the time appointed by God, William will take his place, and continue the reign to make your country grow and prosper, I see a very bright light in William God go with the country and to be the best you can be.

I've read where the Queen was very hands on in organizing her funeral one thing that stood out was how the Queen ensured even her coffin moved around the Tomb o the Unknown Warrior.
