In a world swimming in a sea of lies they murdered the body but the spirit and message lives on within many forever. @@JamesBond-ml3zp Whilst I do agree with you, your opinion is quite controversial. I believe why the album is underrated was because of the constant pressure from Hendrix's record contract. Jimi never really wanted it, but it had to do. The album itself, compared to his studio work, could not be developed with, obviously, overdubbed effects and guitars, etc. So, due to Jimi's opinion, and others, it wasn't his among his favourites.
I love the album, and I love every fucking Hendrix album on Earth, Mars or even the galaxy. Reason is why most are underrated, say: Dagger release "Hear My Music" or "Morning Symphony Ideas" compared to "Electric Ladyland", these didn't have the sheer advertisement nor did they have Jimi and his band touring it.
Due to Jimi's race, and maybe of Billy Cox and Buddy Miles, it may be to racism, definitely. But understand Jimi was a genius and he preferred to have his masterpieces to the best they can be (but obviously B.O.G is great in my opinion, maybe wasn't in Hendrix's).

Michael Williams Stop believing in that shit. You can't just decide to sell your soul one day and become the greatest of all time. Otherwise there would be a LOT more godly guitarists. Selling out only means one thing in music, and that's giving up creativity to make your music sound like all the other popular music just so you can make loads of money. KISS going disco? THATS selling out. You illuminati believers think you know all the answers and believe in these rituals and soul selling shit but like i said, if you could just decide to sell your soul one day to make millions, don't you think everyone who wasn't religious would do it?

@@Calilou52 well on the contrary tgis is real and hes been for Mellinia. He did sell his soul possiblit to become the greatest guitarist of all time or whatever you choose to think, but that is opinion. People are approached to sell their soul by a demon and they choose to take take the deal that ehatever demon presents to them. This is shown by the unified and widesrpead symbolism of many celebrities as far back as you can choose to look. Its irrational and down right obnoxious and ignorant to ignore the things that everybody can see with their own eyes. In fact there would be more guitarist almost or even better than Hendrix if this was not the case but it is. People would dedicate their hearts mins bodys and souls to accomplish what he has and have dedicated these and more but still havent which shows more evidence to the fact. You can be blind if you choose to but its real and its happening. Belive it or not its real.

Nine years later, in 1978, Van Halen I was released. Compare that 18-year span, 1960-1978, to the progress of music from 2002 to 2020. Hendrix himself, in several interviews, mentioned that he was sure there were other great guitarists, that virtually no one will hear...he then proceeded to mention Albert Collins, who at that time was just a sort of "cult' figure among guitarists. Jimi mentioned that Collins was "Good, real good". But that cat does not like to leave his town and family, down in Texas...Isn't that always the way..ha ha." But Collins eventually became much better known to the general public, later on.

Wild to think how people reacted to this in 1968 when the wildest thing they heard on guitar was chuck berry.

The best description I can give anyone of what Jimi did with his guitar is this, he would make sweet passionate love and create babies that were musical masterpieces. RIP JIMI 🙏
