- We are back off-road in the outback of South Australia! Earlier this year we had to skip the Flinders Ranges due to some mechanical issues with our van, but we knew we wanted to head back. Doing so meant a 3,000 detour out of our way. Was it worth it?
Watch this video to see why the Flinders Ranges is one of our favourite places on our whole lap of Australia!

Hey friends! We hope you enjoy this look at why the Flinders Ranges is one of our favourite places in Australia!
One of the best places for sure 🥰👌
Just came back we loved it wr free camped at Parachilna Gorge ❤
@@lisafrancis485 we free camped there after Arkaroola, we loved it too!
I spent 8 days at Rawnsley Park back in March and did all my adventures from there, it was a 3000km trip for me too. So so worth it, so much to experience. Can’t even find words to describe the landscape, but most of all the feeling of just being there. Vast, ancient, silent. Will never forget it😍. You showed it so beautifully, thanks 🙏
Oh thank you Robyn. It’s obvious from your words the place had an incredible impact on you. 🧡🧡
One of the best videos on flinders ranges. I was in flinders ranges for two days and this video makes me realise I need to go back and do it properly. There’s a lot more to see than I realised. Thankd
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us.
It really is a beautiful place, we could have spent weeks there.
We have only just returned from three weeks in the Flinders Rangers from south to north as far as Arkaroola absolutely breathtaking every turn we will be back a very special place
Oh lucky you! Three weeks there would be glorious. We loved Arkaroola too, especially the Ridge Top Tour. Check out that video if you’d like to reminisce some more. czcams.com/video/iCxWg2ZhBWA/video.htmlsi=ontJKBV2IYmzD1x8
Doesn't matter where you are, Flinders is _always_ worth the detour. Such a *fantastic* and *beautiful* place. We might be a bit biased though being South Australian's 🤣😂
💯 one of our favourite places in the whole country.
That was one hell-of-a detour. Wow! I loved the bloopers.
Thanks David. It was well worth it though. Just had to add those bloops in!
Great photography. Good to hear you mentioning Hills homestead. My great Aunty and Uncles old place. Ahhhh the Flinders, our go to place.
Oh wow! That’s so cool Ian. It was really interesting to read the stories from Jessie and imagine what life would have been like back then… it’s definitely a very special part of our country. Thanks for watching!
Flinders Ranges is just amazing aye!!
So incredible. We absolutely loved it! When were you there?
Walked up to the top of St. Mary's Peak looking towards Aroona Valley, really spectacular.

It really is beautiful. We’re glad you enjoyed the trip down memory lane. 🧡
Fantastic video,Flinders Ranges are wonderful.
Yes they are! Definitely one of our favourite places we’ve seen in the whole country.
When you come back Aroona Valley is the spot to get your sunrise pictures..
Oh thanks for the tip! We will add it to the list for our next lap!
Mawson trail = from Blinman to Adelaide, bit more than 200 km and pretty rough in some places !
So nice to see you enjoying the magnificent Flinders Ranges.
Thanks for the correction! Is it maybe 200km through the national park? Not sure where I got that stat from.
We absolutely loved the Flinders, thanks for watching!!
Such a stunning drive! 🤩
It really is - the whole area is so stunning. We really think South Australia is the under-rated state!
Just wow 😮
Isn’t it stunning? Have you been to the Flinders?
@@nigelandsueadventures no not yet, but it is absolutely on the list.

We did the exact same walk in the pound better views at Rawnsley park enjoying your gorgeous coverage ❤️
Agree. I mean, we are glad we saw the full pound, but we definitely preferred the more rugged scenery. The gorges were incredible!
Great travel destination and video😊
Thanks Roberta, a very special part of the country.
Lovely video thank you !
Thank you so much for watching Louisa 🧡
Some wonderful scenery. It was certainly worth the trip. Even though the sunrise might not have been what you had hoped for, the red/pink colours on the mountains were beautiful. 🤗
Cheers Lynne! It was definitely an amazing spot. We loved the Flinders Ranges.
