Australia's BEST ISLAND? | Bruny Island, Tasmania

- Hey friends, this time we take the vehicle ferry over to Bruny Island, the island off an island off an island. We spent three nights on the island, Nigel ate oysters that we got from a Drive-Thru, we got bread from an honesty box fridge on the side of the road, we had a beer in Australia's most southern pub, AND we did not one, but TWO epic hikes.
We loved Bruny Island, and definitely recommend you add it to your Tasmania Road Trip Itinerary.

love that sand squeaky sound
What a beautiful spot! Nice beach hike too! squeak squeak... and Suedive :)
Hehe I’m taking over!
Fabulous place . Once again an enjoyable video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it, we absolutely love Tasmania. Thanks for watching Ray.
So gorgeous!!! Can't believe you got in the freezing cold water Sue - I'm so impressed! 😁
I know!! I surprised myself most of all. It did become a bit addictive though. I never stayed in long though.
Good Watch
Cheers Jimmy!
Love your videos... keep them coming !!
Thanks so much Jenny! There’ll be a new one out every Sunday morning.
Love your videos. You guys are really living your best life, well done and thanks for sharing
Yes we are! We hope we can inspire others to do the same, however it looks for you. Thanks so much for watching :-)
That couple that makes that fresh milk must be fantastic they have a good heart and only $8 amazing
Bread, not milk!! And yes it was so delicious. I only hope that everyone is honest.
I'd like to get their milk recipe
Bruny Island - wow - l went there a decade ago. Such a magical place we saw a snake I remember near the lighthouse. if I go back 15- 20 years I remember a place for sale at Bruny Island overlooking the channel. The place was very cheap back then and I remember looking at it with ore while I was at work. I bet it’s not cheap now.
It still feels like you're stepping back in time. We loved it there.
Wow , looks like the perfect place Bruny Island, that water was crystal clear, lovin the scenery too. And good to see Nigel over his illness and back to his funny ol self again , he’s a crack up 🤣 Great video, look forward to your next one 😁
thanks Jeanie. Yes it was good to have him in good health for a couple of weeks, until... well, you'll have to keep watching to see what happens!
Oh nooo , that doesn’t sound great , I’ll definitely be watching 😮
Never regret a swim Sue, can be so invigorating especially in the clean Bruny island waters. Tassie is such magical place, I visited my son a few years ago for 2 weeks & am itching to get back & do a slow tour on my own time
Oh Michelle it’s a great place for a slow trip for sure!
Geez looks like another for the bucket list!!
If you're anything like us, your bucket list keeps getting longer!
Wow! What a beautiful place. Even though the water was cold I bet you felt really invigorated after that swim.
It became quite addictive actually! Though I’ve gone cold Turkey since being back in the mainland
Lol, Nige was 'Dancing in the sand.' I love shuffling my feet through 'Singing sand'. Agree. Bruny is perfect! There's a very special peace there. BEAUTIFUL clear water. Love it!
Thanks so much for watching Trudi, it really left a mark on our hearts 🥰
Wow! Seeing those majestic sights inspired me to use AI to get this little ditty for you:
Nigel and Sue, hand in hand,
Set foot on Bruny's golden sand.
They gazed at cliffs so grand,
Where waves kissed the land,
And whispered, "This place is simply sublime!"
I had to ruin the last rhyme there. It had given the word grand again and I could have that.
Cheers guys
Hahahaha thank you David!
Another great video, stunning scenery, love the bread honesty box. You both make the video so interesting and informative, with that wicked humour also. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Jay and Coen! Glad you enjoyed it!
I can honestly say that there hasn't been a video that we haven't enjoyed@@nigelandsueadventures
As a swimmer we totally would have gotten out the wet suits and swam. The water looked amazing!
It's so clear!! Beautiful place to swim but I don't love the cold water. Although it is kind of addictive. thanks for watching!
Ok that was better than last week but can you top it next week. Absolutely beautiful
Haha we shall see!!
Another great Vlog, amazing beaches, you could be in FNQ, but your in chilly tassie, amazing adventure! Love ya commentary and camera work! Cheers from Downunder ❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
Cheers Steven! The beaches here were epic! Not what we were expecting at all
Wish it was chilly down here - two days it was 37 on Cape Bruny ... in March
Definitely going on the bucket list. Cheers
Have you been to Tassie Heinz? it's so good down here.
@@nigelandsueadventures only on a cruise
Great fun episode Nigel and Sue. I love Bruny Island, especially the cheese!
Cheers Lee! It's such an awesome place. We loved it there too
There in March. My favourite place in tassie. Bread and cheese just devine.
Unfortunately had an accident so not the greatest end
Oh sad to hear that. It really is amazing. We can't wait to go back to Tassie
good one
Thanks for watching 👍☺️
So, another thing my husband has in common with Nigel is hot sauce ... on just about everything! One thing they do not have in common is Nigel's daring behaviour to get a good photo. My husband is scared of heights. There's no way you could get him anywhere near that cliff edge. I see Nigel's diving repertoire is expanding ... nice one. Good job taking the plunge Sue (twice, and a Nigel dive to boot 🤣. I can just imagine how chilly that water would be. Bruny Island looks wonderful and what a lovely sunset pic to close. I didn't know it existed. Thanks for sharing the journey.
🤗😊
Nigel loves his chilli. It doesn’t really love him though! And yeah that water was totally freezing, but I was getting into the cold swims.
I had to quit the dives, I mean I don’t want to take over haha!
Another great episode, have you left our beautiful state yet?
Sadly yes, back in Victoria. We still have quite a few Tassie videos to come though, there was just so much to see there!
@@nigelandsueadventures we can’t wait, it would have been. I’ve to run into you while you were both here, maybe we will see you when we do our trip around the big island. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us x
Wow lot of tourists there now. Guessing you were there in summer?
Yes, this film was shot in January - so during the school holidays too!
Everyone pretends they love oysters 😂
Mate i don’t present at all! They are disgusting and I would never eat them haha
Makes me laugh everyone goes to tassie nice hot day thinking water will be nice...takeaway the N and then you have your answer 😅😅😅
That is so true!! I’ve been living in Qld too long, I’ve become very soft.
@@nigelandsueadventures I grew up there so very familiar 😉
6Os the new 4O 😜
Hell yea!!! Adventure has no age limit, right?
