Figure Note:
Stop-Motion Transformation of HeatBoys HB0018 Leonardo. Bit of a shell-former. I had to buy this from ShowZStore’s sister store Gundamit for some reason. It’s listed at ShowZ but it says they can’t ship to the US, whereas Gundamit also has it and CAN ship to the US. Go figure. It appears to be officially licensed but maybe some US retailer has it as an exclusive at some point in the future? Pure speculation. Anyway it’s a very cool figure. I’ve seen a prototype of Donatello and it looks like it’s actually a completely different alt-mode based on Donatello’s shins not having wheels in them. It might be a helicopter of some sort - I’ll have to keep an eye on it. Be crazy if they came out with all four with different alt-modes but how many vehicles are really in TMNT? It also came with a whole bunch of base plates and greebles so you can pose it like it’s in some sort of mecha base. He came in a very large box.

Party Wagon to Leonardo: 0:09
Leonardo to Party Wagon: 1:26
Speed run to Leonardo: 2:43
Speed run to Party Wagon: 3:08
2x Run: 3:33
End credits: 3:58
Production Note: Animating the bandana was a bit of a hassle. Soooo glad I set that precedent if there are going to be more of these with unique alt-modes.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
Music: The music is by Ethan Meixsell - www.ethanmeixsell.com
Songs: “Angel of Mercy” and ”Run”
"Bit of a shell former".
Lol, good work as always
Love how he is flexing mid transformation. Great work as always!
Awesome bandana effects 👏
Nice work as always!
It is one of the rear cases when the big backpack is no problem
Indeed. One expects a backpack on a TMNT after all.
This blows Hasbro's lazy offering out of the water.
Well yeah.
Hasbro's has the better alt-mode though. Its robot mode isn't bad but doesn't come anywhere this one's.
@@TerraEsperZ This mecha mode is very cool looking.
And it's also officially licensed by Nickelodeon iirc. like the Turtle mechs before it
Of course a store shelf deluxe is going to look "lazy" next to a prestige collector's item that probably costs far more. They were never meant to compare?
THANKS soooo much for making this video!!! Really helped me with mine, as I was worried hearing someone broke theirs...
PLEASE PLEASE make another of these videos for future mechatran turtle releases (if they continue)
This is why I make these videos! (aside from for my own use) There's a preorder for Donatello. Theory is he's a helicopter.
Needs more flaps! lol
It has jusssst enough. The design is very US Retail market. Where would they sell this though?
Hot damn!
Very cool video peolesdru
That’s so cool!!
He's pretty cool!
Little clunky imo but both modes look very good. I have two of the mecha turtles from the same company and am blown away by how solid they are.
Very good materials and construction.
8-D😆
Hang on, how can he be the truck as well as the guy driving it?
It's a mech that transforms. He drives both modes.
Nice transformation. Not a huge Turtles fan so Imma pass, but it does look good.
Seen it. Can't do it
Acknowleged. Over and out.
