- Exactly one year ago today, I put up a video called "The Complicated History of Dance Gavin Dance," a video detailing the long history the band has had. Incidentally, it's also my biggest video to date. So today, on it's one-year anniversary, I detail everything that has happened since then, including the release of the band's most recent full-length, Afterburner, and everything I like about the album.

I'm happy that Afterburner got so popular or else I might have never heard of this band. They're amazing and I don't know how it took me this long to find them.
I got a girls number and she told me about this band and I fucking love these guys. Went to my first ever concert last month and it was this band.(I went with the girl) And yeah I'm glad I met her and that she told me of this band 😊
The Jon Mess fancam is everything I could have ever asked for. The rest is awesome. But. The. Fancam. 😍😂

I went to go see them at warped tour a few years back and as I was leaving I ran into Tillian while he was walking out of his tour bus! I freakkked and of course acted like a goober and got an “Okayyyy...” from him LOL. Still cool.
i’m excited to hopefully see them when tours start happening again. very much looking forward to screaming “me go feed the pigeons”
Glad you mention Andrew and Eidola in this one. I think he's been touring with them since 2015.
After the events that have happened over the past few years from the recording, there will probably be a sad and emotion 3rd volume to this band. RIP Tim you will be missed

I am super grateful for you uploading this I recently found dance Gavin dance though an ex as about 3 or 4 years ago and I love everything about this band to the genre and the lyrics their style is amazing so I am glad you took the tie out of your days or weeks to make such an amazing video. :)

I felt like I was in an English class listening to you describe the songs with some vocab words, but this was fun to listen to, and loud screaming playing in the background. Now that I think about I wish my English Classes had more metal playing.
Honestly if my English teacher played DGD during class i'm not sure I would ever want to leave
The sequel is never better than, or as good as the original, unless you're dave. Then the sequel is as good, if not, Better.

Right before the COVID shutdowns, I was supposed to see DGD. My heart hurt when the show was cancelled. The day of!!! Last time I got to see them was Swanfest. Can’t wait to see them again!
i was supposed to see them for the first time back in april, and it still really sucks i haven’t been able to. i’m excited to when the time comes tho!

That’s great! I’m super glad you were able to get into them so much because of that video! That’s honestly really cool, so thanks for watching! In terms of editing, my favorite to use is Final Cut Pro X, but i haven’t had access to that in a while so currently i’m using Davinci Resolve.
So just recently got into DGD even make a short about afterbrunner due to me download rock band 4 DLC for clone hero and now I'm on this jounary of learning more about them. Nice content man as someone who enjoy making content about music nice to find other people who like band and artist I enjoy. Gratned it been 3 year since your last post by I would love to see more content from you.

The reason why I listened to DGD years ago was because I had a crush on a guy and he loved their music so I listened to them just to impress him. I didn’t date him but I’m so glad I had a crush on him or i would have never knew about them

Can’t say I was a huge fan of Afterburner, loved Mothership and Artificial Selection but I just don’t care to back to most songs with the exception of Lyrics Lie, Nothing Shameful, Say Hi and Night Sway.

My overall thoughts. It's nowhere near as good as Mothership or Artificial Selection but what we have here is something unique, creative & still possesses the elements that make Dance Gavin Dance a unique band.
I wouldn't start here if you're new... Again... Those last 2 albums goddamn.

Just a thought....you kinda brush over what Born To Fail really is about with a sort of generic summary. It's a total diss track. It has meaning and it's very pointedly directed at Tides of Man (from Tilians POV) and Jonny Craig (from Jon's POV).
Yeah the more deeply you look at the lyrics that's something that becomes a lot more apparent. For the sake of time w/in the video I gave it a basic summary, but when it comes to detail there's definitely a lot of anger there.

In terms of the bull, they’ve posted a couple images and things about it on various social accounts. And i actually don’t know much about the Robot’s Tale, but it’s definitely sumn that would be cool to look into!
Something I just recently realized was that they have mentioned Gavin in the past in Son of Robot to be more specific in the beginning they open with
