Patrick, your work is ingenious! you're doing great job telling in most compressed way how to film perfect videos. Thank you for the video series you're making.
Its a priceless app really i have an samsung s20 normal edition i export the footage as mp4 then edit in capcut app really great also raw video in low light way better than normal app.. merci patrick by the iam so happy u got back your channel💙💙
I found a good balance in storage/quality/editing recording in 1440p. The main problem for me was the post production, I've never dealt with RAW video before, noise reduction and como balance is a challenge, but I'm getting better results now.
This so amazing! Thanks for sharing! Love this kind of stuff. Where can we see a list of devices this has been tested on? Record times for devices? Would be curious if it works on the Xperia pro I with that larger sensor.
First time I used it on Samsung Ultr S22 it worked fine, since then it just keep crashing. For me it is a no go solution. I will wait for a year and see if MotionCam have sorted out all its issues!
you really can't compare the two the canon has a bigger sensor which allows for more dynamic range and you can change lenses but they both are still DNG files
Hey Patrick, I purchased the Pro Version but it always stops and does drop frames also at 1080p. I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s with a micro SD v60 250MB super quick. My phone says it can shoot just 15p or 30p.
🍣🍣🍣 Patrick I have a simple question; in the video thumbnail it seems like you have an adapter clip to mount lenses on your device. Coul you share which one is it ? Cheers and as usual, amazing content!!
Just i forget to say tell the people never put an protective camera lens or leneses whatever phone they u use since it will affect the quality of the footage...most of the protective have plastic this will protect camera but in the direct sunlight or other it will affect the video negatively ... blurryness or kind of little smudgeness even if they clean though.... but in the normal light not a huge difference only in some light situations... So if the priorety to have a good video never put a protective a camera lens just for reminding for other people..😃 Keep filming peace hahahaha 😅
Hey Patrick! Great video! Have you tried PRO Beta version? there we publish all the new changes before the official (also some leak -> next beta update will greatly improve the rendering speed in h264/HEVC). Also small correction for your video, currently is possible to render 10bit only in VP9 no matter the phone. Thank you!
Hello patrick, i want asking what is better to have better video quality result from the app motion. 1# VP9 - 12bit 4:2.0 2# ProRes HQ or 3# Render DNG and then export folder to davinci resolve? Let me know ,thanku.
Dng's are the purest out of all of those options DNG are digital negatives the rest are just processed versions of a dng I always work with the raw dng🤓👍🏾🤳
@@patricklevar Because im trying first time with DNG .. YEARS i was byzzy with MP4 format but now i wil try better level in quality ... Is not easy and i need help
Don't know the exact number but I do know 8 bit holds less color information than 10 bit I think 10 bit holds around one billion in color versus 16 million I found it interesting article that may help you www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/video/tips-and-solutions/8-bit-10-bit-what-does-it-all-mean-your-videos
Hello Patrick, i usually shoot with MotionCam on my s22 ultra, the problem that im having is when uploading the video to youtube it get grainy and noisy even though i export it with h264 10 bit with aftercodecs in highest settings in after effects, but in ur videos is much less noisy than mine, what codecs are you using at what settings? please help and thank u so much for your valuable videos,
Most of the time I film at the highest quality possible but export at HD sometimes if your video is too high bit rate CZcams will compress it I know that happens a lot with Instagram if you try to do 4K it tries to compress it so it makes it look a little bit more grainy and noisy if you have a link to an example so I can see exactly what's going on also is your ISO high when filming
Your dedication shines through. Next level app too
Thank you Simon 🙏🏾🤓🙏🏾

Glad it was helpful!
Great job.!
New video idea: compare...
1) Original max-res file size/bitrate
2) Resolve workflow and
3) Final dynamic range
...of...
1) Uncompressed cDNG output
2) Compressed cDNG output
3) Log MP4 output
4) Mcpro24fps log
...on 10 seconds of...
1) contrasty day
2) low light/dark alley
Anything else 🤓👍🏾

The fact that this video has very little view really show how people doesn't care about the capability of their phone
THANKS
Please make a video on how you did edit on your phone
In my app it doesnt allow mp4 rendering. Instead it shows only render video.
Greetings brother, how do you compare it with eos m raw
