How To Change Pulse Rate P Setting To Temperature In Degrees on Chinese Diesel Heater LED Controller

  • Has your Chinese diesel heater got a controller showing the temperature in pulse rate?
    Do you want the temperature to show in degrees C.
    In this short video I show How To Change Pulse Rate P Setting To Temperature In Degrees on Chinese Diesel Heater LED Controller.
    I bought my full air heater kit from Ebay: rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-534...
    This was the LED controller that came with the kit and it was set to the pump pulse rate instead of degree temperature.
    Fortunately it's just a quick fix to get it showing degrees C so you have thermostatic control over the air temperature.

    The same process toggles to Hz mode, correct? My van home is blazing hot at lowest 8km heater thermostat setting. Is the thermostat broke, or this this just the case where setting manual pump rate might be the answer? Can I "scientifically" determine a comfortable rate, or just set it slower and slower until I can no longer cook an egg on the floor. Is there a minimum pump rate?

    • @TheWrinklyNomads
      @TheWrinklyNomads  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi,
      Yes, you can toggle between Deg and Hz that way.
      You can alter pump rate, fan speed etc. which will lower the output temperature a bit, but if it's not slowing down when temperature is met, you my well have a faulty controller...?
      There is a minimum pump rate, 0.8Hz, that can be achieved by going into these settings.
      I have a video of how to access these setting here;

      Strange...?
      Sounds like over rich fuel or air mixtures are wrong to give black smoke..
      Normally they run very good straight out of the box.
      Check that the air filter is not blocked or the pipe is not crushed as well.
      If your getting a no fuel code, then it would simply shut down, so more than likely an air problem.
      But don't quote me on that one....!!

    Is it not power ? Temperature you regulate when pressing other side buttons. As if lets say its heater 2-8kw. And it was on 3 hz, and you change to c. Then you set the fixed power to 3hz/kw and you only adjust c. But you cant increase powwr to 8hz/kw. Or it adjusts power itself then ?

    • @TheWrinklyNomads
      @TheWrinklyNomads  Před 2 lety +2

      Essentially 'P' is pulse rate and it just alters the amount of fuel pulses the pump delivers to the burner, and stays at that rate.
      'C' is a thermostatically operated control which will speed up or slow down the pulse rate relative to the temperature you have set it at.
      So, 'P' can be thought of more like a manual control and 'C' as automatic.

    The pulse rate can be used to eliminate using more fuel and battery life extender... I am testing one now that seems to be fine on a lower pulse rate... you'll notice the pulse rate will also dictate the fan speed... so a lower pulse rate will give you a lower fan speed and in turn you will save fuel and battery power... It can make a huge difference when you run it for let's say 20 minutes.. with a 3 to 5 crank up and a 5 or so shutdown.. for a total of about Thus at a 30 minute run time.. including the start up and shut down procedure...s .. You should notice a pretty good savings on fuel and power.. try it !
