Time flies, people die, and Charlie Chaplin is always the legend.
Great Guiness of more than movies!
Of course 🎩
Maslaxmedeey
So is Brahms.
Remember heroes get remembered, Legends never die,
What he did without speaking, today's comedian even can't do by speaking. He is a true legend!!!!
all his co-stars did the same thing soooo.......
And then there are those who make speaking an art and combine it with the kind of miming Chaplin was great at. ...Danny Kaye, anyone?
Ambassador Hakime,,,, and...........father Ankara
You do realize that spoken comedy and physical comedies are two different skills, yes?
No need of any dialogues or special effects just his body language and background music was enough to entertain the world 👌👌👌👌👌
Even me still i watch while I'm 20 years

Yes you’re absolutely correct
Exactly bro 👍

Actors come and leave ,but Charlie is simply unforgettable .
Mr. Chaplin truly is the ultimate comedic genius. I just loved the way his shaving method with that straight razor was scaring the holy hell out of that customer. That customer was scared to death, and he obviously had no problem handing over that fifteen cents just so he could get the hell out of that barber shop. 😆😆😆😆 Charlie's ability to keep up with a piece of classical music which has so many change-ups in tempo is simply astounding. I laugh my ass off every time I watch this scene. Charlie's brand of comedy never gets old.
I just noticed at the end he did it with a REAL RAZOR! ONE TAKE with no cuts and he did it with a real razor! That is talent we will never see again!
stop throwing the word genius around like a rag doll 🙄

he was not a genius and there's nothing that suggest he was!!!
I watched this film for the first time today and it was a masterpiece. Thank you, Chaplin.

maybe the best choregraphed dance is history! This one and this bread on the table dance.
Charlie Chaplin is my favorite actor from childhood until now, because he was the most wonderful comedian. But when I grew up, I learned that he was a genius who used comedy as a smart and wonderful way to convey his philosophy of life against injustice and everything bad in this short journey of time that we call (life).
The customer is Chester Conklin, a Mack Sennett vet who Chaplin once called "the funniest man I'd ever seen"! (Three Stooges fans will probably recognize him as the drunk piano player from their 1945 classic "Micro Phonies".)
The best actor the world has ever produced.❤️
Oh yes ! No doubt about that...

What about Mr. Bean?

Les films de Chaplin c'est du pur bonheur. Il peut te faire rire aux larmes un instant et te faire pleurer une minute après. Meilleur réalisateur de tous les temps, personne ne lui arrive à cheville. Mon film préféré de lui.
Imagine making something like this today,IMPOSSIBLE
The music and his action 😂
thanks Mr Chplin, you work is almost a 100 years ago and they still put a smile on my face.
Genialer Mann....und soooo viele Jahre später schaut man es immer noch gerne...heute 16.4.2023 hätte er seinen 134.Geburtstag❤💯 💚
Magnificent Charlie. Nobody else could have done this comedy but him. This was true comedy. Too bad comedy today sucks so much.
It is very rare to describe an actor as a wise actor. Mr. Chaplin is the among the wisest ones.
Fun fact : There was no music on the set, he memorized the music
what is the name of this music ?

Charlie Chaplin is now a star of the firmament, so it's always a pleasure to see him again.
Absoluta coordinación con la banda sonora, aunque da la impresión que cortan una nota de la composición musical, hay que reconocer el enorme talento del gran Charlot.
“Think about yourself at least once in your life otherwise you may miss the best comedy in this world.” - Charlie Chaplin

Imagine being the first person ever in history to get shave by a blade moving around your neck like that
I never ever wish to have any other barber than Charlie Chaplin "Mr. Music Man" to have a shave...!

most shocking thing was hearing chaplin speak at the end! LOL
He was one of the last holdouts when it came to switching to "talkies." This was his first one. The poster for the movie even says "He talks" as a tagline.
@@reginabillotti the first is modern time. At the end chaplin sings.
@@nika05456 Modern Times had a couple scenes with dialogue but it wasn't a full fledged "talkie" like The Great Dictator was.

I consider this the most brilliant and virtuoso use of classical music in the movies
His way of sharpening his knives always get me
Um gênio incomparável!!
There were really good comedians a hundred years ago, but Ch. Ch. without comparison. Pure genius.
Why is no one giving credit to brahms for writing this wonderful composition
Because we are busy admiring chaplin for having the guts and genius to make this at the time with his own 2 million dollars
And beacuse Brahms didn't actually write this piece. He based it on another musician's piece, thinking it was traditional folk music.
Brahms is given credit. Often.
the style of checking the knife is awsme😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He opens the cash register, and then puts the coin in his pocket
I did not notice this
*comedy.*
Maybe he was gonna take more coins from his pockets to put it the cash register
LoL. Yes. I did not notice that. Thanks for mentioning it.

How interesting that Charlie Chaplin's movements are in tune with the rhythm of the music😍🎶
Whether or not there was music on the set, the most outstanding for me is the fact of being shot in one take, without cuts!!!
how do you know it was one take?
@@b1bo840 In other comments people say it was one take. It looks as if there were not cuts. If there were, it would be awsome all the same.
@@lucma1999 when you watch behind the scenes footage and the director says take 5, take 7 etc, they're redoing a scene because mistakes were made. once they do a take they're satisfied with, that's the take they use. so how do you know this isn't take 10? that said, he's the creator of his own style so it's not hard for him to get thru a scene without makin' mistakes, particularly a scene as simple as this one.. it's not like he's doing a motorcycle stunt 😂
@@b1bo840 You are referring to a different aspect. My point was about the continuity of the scene without cuts, not how many times it was shot, or whether there wasn't previous rehearsals of the scene. Perhaps, I wasn't accurate using the expression "it was one take".
