When I was a teenager, I've got this list from someone about the top 10 movies of all time. City of Lights with Chaplin was on that list so I rented it from the library and didn't disappoint me. Without a single spoken word Chaplin demonstrates in this movie why he was a movie superstar.
Pound for pound, this is the most hilarious boxing sketch in my lifetime.
The greatest and smartest choreography I have ever seen. Now I am 100% a Chaplinist.
Simply a super genius he was! His movies become more meaningful n relevant with passing years. To see his masterpieces is simply more than blissful!
