There was a good deal of luck involved in Deegs crash but he does have gymnastic ability... you could see his helmet turn twice spotting the ground and he rotated to land just like a cat...still finished the race in second place! pretty dang impressive in my opinion.
This sport has always been so misunderstood in terms of the athleticism of the riders and what it takes to perform at a pro level. It's literally impossible to explain the level of fitness that these guys have to someone who has never experienced riding a dirt bike on a motocross track. Those crashes are so freaking violent they would break most mortals in half. To my mind, today was an absolute massacre. Watching Deegan and Jett both go down like that brings everything back into perspective, Yes, these guys are super-human,. But they're still human. And when they go down, at full send, it's so damn gnarly. They can never earn enough for the risk they takes and the incredible moments of excitement they provide. Thanks for another great video Hopps.
Chase just BLEW IT OUT! He was one of the very few riders Ive been waiting for to do something incredible! It was amazing to watch! Well done #4 Chase Sexton!!!
Chase went insane after that tip over. Haven't seen anyone let it hang loose like that in the 450's in a long time. You can tell he wanted that win. He was riding that thing like a 250.
Not even close to 2021 , when it was Eli VS Chase, they would switch the lead about 5 or 8 ISH times a race Moto, that ENTIRE Season ( EVERY ROUND / EVERY MOTO) was better than this. BUT this was Still awesome , 💯, Eli taught Chase How to do this. , it was awesome , 👍👍
Chase rode that good the races he actually did race outdoors last year after sitting out half a season. He just kept putting that honda down. Wich he did a lot in 22. And couldn't make the pass on Jett. But he ran him down multiple times
For me that was one of the most entertaining/impressive races since Bubba. Epic ride Sexton 💪. USA! USA! Excited for your further breakdown JH, I geek out on the suspension stuff.

AP had that race won but got passed a few corners from the Finish Line.... Same in 250 ( First Moto )... lots of great racing and thrills added ... 🇨🇦🤓🤟
I commented after the 1st 250 moto that it would be insane if we had a double header undefeated season in the 250 AND 450 class and then Jett launches himself into that downhill triple case. Then Deegan goes down in the second 250 moto. I single handedly jinxed their perfect seasons! 😂😂😂 What a second moto by Chase.
1:44 100%, good point Hopper. James has grown as a media personality, I feel like maybe 2-3 years ago, he wouldn't have the maturity in the booth to just be quiet, but he did. That whole Day was nothing short of spectacular. Thats definitely got to be a little on the humbling side for Hunter to get passed by a person that started dead last!! Im still blown away by Sextons ride and mindset to win.
When Herlings came over and raced Iron Man he did pretty much the exact same thing Sexton did today, won the first moto and crashed in basically the second turn in the second moto and came back to First with Marvin getting second overall it was the last time KTM 1st and 2nd in 450 and it was pretty much the exact same way as today with AP and Chase pretty cool.

Yeah idk why anyone would say pressure got to him, he had no pressure and was by far the fastest guy. Track got rough and just had a little mistake, had nothing to do with fucking pressure.
They never battled for sexton to even try and get around Jett at pala, every time Chase got close Jett turned it up a notch to manage the gap, even Chase said the exact same thing after that race.
@@aus-rider I agree. I think chase's problem is he's not aggressive enough when he catches someone. In the second moto, he was taking his line no matter what.
You don’t even have to crash in MX to get injured….look at Tomac’s Achilles tendon injury; I once broke bones in both of my ankles by coming up short over a jump, never fell off, but I was F-ed. It’s a brutal sport. Sexton was an absolute BEAST! It was a beautiful thing to see… although I was heart broken to see Jett fall off and ring his bells. Sucks!! I want to see Jett win everything… literally every race! Awesome to see sexton lay it down like that, the guy is in a very small group of guys who could even consider bringing it to Jett. Fantastic!
Hopefully this is the seasoned vet we all hoped to see Chase turn into. Years past him pushing and being on the verge of out of control lead to crashes. Excellent race.
Looked like several of the bikes had some significant packing of the rear suspension. Did they all miss the set up that much or did the track evolve different than they expected
This race got me more stoked on the season. I tuned out the last 3 races because it was the Jett show and lets face it, that type of racing gets boring. But I tuned in yesterday and hot damn Sexton was HAULING!!! Heck yeah
