This is completely unedited and was never supposed to be posted. I see however tons of people being upset about the situation related to the virus, causing many events and trips to be postponed or plain cancelled. I'm hoping these few minutes will cheer people up. I had already posted a few videos on my Twitter a while ago but some parts I never did. It's mainly Skam France since I wasn't able to record most panels. Enjoy and take care ♥

Maxence's friendly, innocent confidence is so heartwarming. He's so unapologetically earnest and he says what he thinks genuinely despite his struggle with speaking in a foreign language. He's so comfortable and himself--he doesn't worry that he will bore people or confuse people. He just says what's inside honestly and consequently he's just so charming and authentic and charismatic and people actually give a shit about what he's trying to communicate amidst his pauses and broken English. Ugh. It's so uplifting and empowering! I want to have Maxence's confidence.

coming from a someone with a ton of multilingual family members that was really good English tbh, he definitely has a gr8 handle on it:) Seems quite fluent to me!
I want to have his level of confidence as well. I appreciate him at least trying to speak in English even though it's not his first language. It just goes to show the amount of work that actors put into speaking a language that isn't the one they grew up learning to speak.

I love that SKAM kind of evolved into David and Matteo’s story, changing the characters stories from the bipolar acceptance to transgender acceptance while still keeping the same message and making sure the message was clear.

@@gloriagall4337 I've managed to hear he said a artist named "Clark something" so I tried to do a little digging and found Dreamer by Julie Clark (on spotify) and Dreamer by Clark DJ (on youtube). I'm not sure which one of these, or if they're at all the original song.

i had no idea that there was so much improv! he said he only read the script once or so, and did a ton of improv just on WHO the character is, and i absolutely adore that. i act, and my dream is to actually make something of acting, and the way he described how they were allowed freedom to just BE the character and react as the character sounds like absolute heaven

I think it's just what Norwegians sound like when they talk English. French people have a very strong accent, but the way the Norwegian language is pronounced must just make it lean more towards the American sound when talking English
Also if you learn a language from an American teacher you tend to pronounce words in that way and adopt parts of the accent when speaking the language

I'm french but I learn English and listen to Maxence speaking English is sooo cool, it's quite easy to understand and it's a pleasure to listen to him (and the other actors but I didn't watch the other skam versions)!

I think for an actor to watch the original would put pressure on him cause he will compare his character with the original one and could actually influence his performance. And I think he succeeded in playing this role because he played it as an original if it makes sense.
