I pray to live a life that mirrors Pope John Paul II's. To follow the Holy Spirit in all I do, in every thought, and every decision. To have that peace of knowing I am doing God's will and not my will. That's what brought me here today.

Please consider that Christ is the Son of God. He comes to us from God. Without God He would never have existed Also consider what he told his disciples
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
      16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
God is not just the Son! He is Father, Son and Spirit.

Father is so right that knowing these ten pillars of holiness is no use unless we try every day to put them into practice. One of the great features of our holy religion is that it is so rational; everything is centred in the will, in what we actually do. Christ taught us we must be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect, and we can achieve this if we will only co-operate and put into practice what are actually quite easy to understand principles. Thanks be to God for Holy Mother Church which never tires of teaching us through the Magisterium, her saints and holy Popes how to become holy ourselves.

Devotion to Mary, our spiritual Mother is simple. You honor and love your earthly mother and the mothers of your friends. Why would it be hard to honor and love your spiritual Mother? When I was a little girl, my Dad was quite intimidating to me because of his authority. I would often go to my mother to intercede for me when I wanted something or some permission from Dad. So too, Mother Mary intercedes for us when we want some favor from her Son. Very simple and obvious. She has personally helped me in many ways as I pray the Rosary every day. Research Fatima.

    • @my3sweetsg288
      @my3sweetsg288 Před 2 lety +4

Great question! We know that everyone who dies in Christ does not die but lives. Whether in the flesh or out of the flesh, we are all part of the body of Christ and are active because no part of his body is dead. Therefore, those who have gone before us to their eternal home have their eyes on Jesus and are actively grateful to him for the salvation he won for them. It is only natural that they would want to do and take part in what he is doing. And what is he doing now? He’s doing all he can to save his children still in the spiritual battle!
It would be cruel of Jesus to tell his children in heaven that they are not allowed to continue praying for his children on earth just because they no longer live on earth, but in heaven. At least, I know I would be begging Jesus to allow me to continue praying for my relatives and children, at the very least!
Because we are all part of the body of Christ and that will never change for eternity, we can all pray for one another. That means we can also ask Mary and the saints in heaven and the angels to pray for us.
We know the angels are in a hierarchy. According to Jesus, and the book of revelation, it seems as though there is a hierarchy in heaven for humans. For example, the 24 elders, the one who sits on his right and on his left, the martyrs, etc.
It was believed by the earliest Christians, from reading their letters to the churches, that Mary is at the top of this human hierarchy, Having been the first one saved by Jesus (immaculate conception) . She was also the first disciple, which is clear. She is also his mother and still is. So, that’s why Catholics often ask her to pray for them and to help guide them to a more intimate relationship with Jesus.
We also acknowledge all that God has done for her in making her holy and pure and perfecting her to become his mother. I hope this explains it a little bit better for you.
May the Lord bless you as you move closer in union and love with Him !
If you want, you can ask Mary or one of the other saints in heaven, to have a 24 hour prayer chain for you since no one here on earth has that kind of time to devote to prayers for you. That’s another thing I love about the communion of saints. I have a 24 hour prayer chain going for all my kids! Love it!

Are you being deliberately deceptive? It is a common philosophical approach to put forward a common argument as a "thesis", and then put forward the arguments which contradict and prove the thesis is wrong. Each of those theses is disproved by what follows. John Paul II was willing to read arguments commonly raised against religion and faith and to engage with them. It would be more honest for you to consider taking a similar approach rather than a sneaky attempt to mislead by misquoting his book

As much as I greatly admired John Paul II - I regret his making of SO many Saints, it only served to devalue the coinage. Once upon a time, it took Centuries for one to become a Saint! I understand his trying to hold these people as examples to present-day youth in these heinous times - but has it done any good? "By their fruits, you shall know them". Also, as do many other Roman Catholics, I think John Paul II's Canonisation was too soon and too rushed. Sorry!

At 22:52, do you not realize that he is venerating the Koran with that kiss???
St. Thomas Aquinas in Summa Theologica states, “…if anyone were to worship at the tomb of Mahomet, he would be deemed an apostate.”
Any public act of veneration of a false religion is to be judged as an act of apostasy according to the external form.
It’s no different than venerating the wood of the Cross on Good Friday with a kiss. It’s an act of reverence, veneration, and worship of Jesus who is represented by the sacred object.

Copy these examples given by this " Saint " to get closer to God:
1.Believe that all will be saved , Universalism .
    2. Kissed the Quran every day . Doesn't matter that the author of Quran, Allah is Satan.
    3. Start writing love letters to a married woman , like the " Saint" did.
Also, if possible meditate on " the theology of the body ". The " Saint " gave 129 homilies on that.

@@ite_ad_iosep Go and check about his heresies sister. Our mother predicted that Rome will lose faith and becomes a seat of Anti Christ in la salette in 1846 and he taught that man is divine like old pagan Roman emperors. He said Christ comes into the incarnation of every man and thus he rejected Jesus Christ as son of God, and he kissed quran and bowed down to it, and he called Assisi prayer meeting in 1986 and in 2002 where devil worship was allowed and also the Buddha statue replaced the cross in altar. He condemned crusades never hen crusades was the reason we remain Catholics today and it was approved in 5 councils and more than 10 popes. He was an modernist who destroyed the church and millions lost faith. He even said Christmas is a feast of man, everywhere he uses the word man and he reintroduced idolatry back into the Christian world. He was an antipope and his predecessors John 23 and Paul 6 are not validly elected popes but an antipopes. He said Muslims and Catholics worship the same god and they rejects Jesus Christ as son of God and the holy spirit. The scriptures in revelation clearly states that the antichrist will sits in the temple of god which is not the rebuild temple in Jerusalem but thr saint Peter's Basilica and he was a heretic not a pope, not a saint, and not w catholic in the first place. Everyone was deceived but Vatican 2 is full of errors. You have to embrace traditional catholicsm to be saved.

You should read books written by Atheists who have found belief. One is Eban Alexander's book Proof of Heaven. Eban is a famous, world renowned neurosurgeon who had a near death experience. Another is A Case For Christ by Lee Strobel. Lee was an investigative journalist lawyer who worked at the Chicago Tribune and spent 3 years to prove Jesus did not exist. Please be careful condemning God to others, it is an unforgiveable sin. Peace be with you. Science is proving everything written is historically accurate. You can educate yourself on the archeological discoveries occurring in Jerusalem and surrounding areas.....amazing verification of scripture.
