  • Time to give the Miata's interior some love. Restore some things that are broken and faded and do some tasteful upgrades in the process. Today's episode will introduce my new series and what all I have planned.
Some items I'm using (shown in the video):
    Interior trim/molding: amzn.to/354LPRr
Heat barrier (instead of that nasty jute): amzn.to/2yFsI4r
Thin radiant heat barrier (this is a lot of material because it's usually used in attics, but it's still not expensive): amzn.to/2Y6YZfs

Glad to see someone else doing this! I flocked my spare 1.6 dash and I'll be using the stockinteriors plush cut pile carpet with some kilmat for sound and heat insulation. Good luck man!

I hadn't decided on the sound deadener at the time of filming but went with kilmat also.

@@OGPedXing can't beat it for the price. I also got Noico 150mil closed cell foam to go on top. Definitely helps out with not much more weight

Both generation of NB interior also fit in both NA6 and NA8 by the way.

      Thanks for providing that info!

    My replacement gauge
Hood clips kept rattling and I simply took them out.
The bolts alone will keep the hood in place without rattle or movement.

I'm not sure I understand, you mean the cluster itself? The only thing holding the hood to the dash are the clips, I don't have any bolts for the hood.

@@OGPedXing Weird, I could've sworn mine (aftermarket) had two stock screws holding it in near the steering column and three clips towards the window. The clips rattled and were not really needed.

@@teutonalex that is weird, maybe mine was missing the screws or something! There is also a very thin strip of padding around the back edge of the dash where it meets the hood, I'm going to be replacing that as well. Hopefully no rattles.
