I just did Northwest Passage at two nursing home gigs and one open mic. It is so nice to see a great video to go along with the song. Well done.
This made me cry. Not sure why. Thanks lads
Because it’s a tragic story. If you haven’t ever researched it, look up the Franklin Lost Expedition which this song by Stan Rogers and mini series The Terror was based on (minus the “monster” in the series which I feel wasn’t needed and took away from the actual story, but I digress.)
@@johnstrayer4418 I agree with you. No ''monster'' was needed. It is a sad story. I was so excited when I heard Erebus had been found, and then Terror too. It's a great pity more information of these stupendous finds, and also news from Parks Canada on the current situation of the archaeology, isn't widely shared.
@@ljo642we will likely never know the full story. The boats had likely been abandoned for quite a while by the time the last survivors died
This gave me goosebumps. I’ve always been fascinated by the exploration of the poles during the nineteenth century.
The exploration is so much safer than it ever was. And in the future we will prolly use robots for everything. History would look totally crazy.
Lol seeing ceasar next to brutus surprised me. Great vid
I've sung this at an open mike. Now you can have a luxury cruise through the NW passage. Demonstrates global warming!
Bravo ... well done with the composition and the editing.
Awesome. Well done. This song is perfect.
Grandios 🤘🏻 💪🏼 🫡
❤❤❤
God, the series would have been perfect without all that supernatural bullshit.
Just view it from this point: the Polar bear Monster is a metaphor for everything that we dont know what happened. Just like the death of Captain Franklin. We know that it happened and that it happened fairly early on after they were stuck in the ice. Long before they tried to Escape on foot. But we dont know why he died. And it doesnt really make sense. It is very mysterious.
So why died Franklin die so suddenly? We dont know, so it was the magical Polar bear Monster. That way you know at least what is real and what is Made up because we will never know the Details.
That way the Story still works pretty well. Not perfect, but pretty well.
Here's the thing though, hallucinations are one of the symptoms of lead poisoning. I could easily see someone think every shadow they see is some kind of monster, mass psychogenic illness would explain a lot.
I enjoyed it.
Whats the name of the Series?
