I love the design of your soaps! Congratulations I would like to know which saponification calculator you use to make your soaps. In your recipes you include milk, why? You use a preparation that is already 45% Naoh ready, but I do not have it. How much Naoh, water and milk I should to use? Best regard
I normally calculate by myself, I’ve already memorized all the saponification value of the oils that I used. Milk will increase the stability of soap and make the foam more silky. You will see the difference while bathing. I bought the 45% lye solution at the soaping supply shop, that’s a commercial product. In case of solid lye, just calculate the lye qty by oil and plus 2-3 times of lliquid (water:milk=1:1, that’s easier to count)
The fatty acid structure of apricot oil and sweet almond oil are very similar, so the performance in soap are almost the same. I’d consider them as substitutes for each other.

concentration, 99% means 99% pure Naoh plus 1% impurity. 45% means 45% pure Naoh plus 55% ultrapure water.
