It's almost mind-blowing how perfect Tissot has played this hand from its relaunch to every single move they've made with it since then. Creating something the whole watch world, from beginners to long time collectors, loves at a price everyone can afford..It shouldn't be possible yet somehow Tissot pulled it off..👏👏👏
They really did, I won't pretend I know anything about watches, but I wanted a professional/practical watch at a decent price, and the Tissot PRX immediately caught my eye. Before this I've never spent more than 80 bucks on a watch, but the PRX caught my eye in a beautiful way. At a beautiful price. I'm beyond happy I picked it up
Well... the insides are plastic. And some models are quartz. So that's a huge downside for getting service.
I love it too. Big downside for now: The replacement straps are not available for the 35mm so no leather no rubber for now
Maybe Delugs will produce one
@@MinuteMonthey are producing one now
itll come soon
aftermarket gonna be faster though
35mm is the way to go. You won’t need straps because the bracelet is the better size and a huge part of the what makes the watch so cool.
Good information, I didn't know that. Just assumed it would be the same as the 40mm
I have a gold 35mm. It is stunning. I love how it looks and i get so many compliments
I have the 40mm, got it when it first came out and absolutely love it. But after seeing the smaller one it seems like the proportions are better on the 35.
PRX in 38mm, w/ a red waffle dial would be 🔥
@@stretchmarklol only Ali-express has that for now, under various names of course. I just want a black 35mil powermatic. I cannot seem to find that anywhere.
I have the 35 mm quartz in silver and rose gold and love it.
this was really helpful! thanks for showing it on writs as well!
i have the 35mm Powermatic Prx in the light blue colour, it’s the perfect size, not too small, not too big
35mm 100%. The 40 even on my wrist which is 6.8 inches or so is to long with the male endlinks. The 35 is small but wearable and gives more of a vintage feel on wrist.
Well you got small wrist and that makes sense, my wrist is 7.8 and there is no way i can wear the 35mm, even the 40mm is small for me
@@AtomicF smaller than yours, yes. 6.75-7.0 is average so I’m saying for most people the 35mm shouldn’t be overlooked. Also if the 40mm is small for you you’re probably the kind of person to wear 50mm+ invictas.
@@AtomicFthe full size bracket on the 35 only accommodate up to a 7.25 in wrist so definitely no way for you to wear it
@@Dialandhands35 mm is not made for the average man hence there are two sizes. 35 mm for women and 40 for men. There’s a reason why you see the 35 mm is shown off on a woman’s wrist on the advertised pictures for the PRX models and the 40 mm on a man’s wrist
@MonchiNews That vintage look is for dress watches. PRX is not a dress watch. I bought the 40 mm Powermatic for myself and the 35 mm for my gf. I tried the 35 mm on my own wrist just to see how it would look like and it was too feminine and I don’t even have a big wrist. Even the women that worked in the store told me that they never sold a 35 mm to a man before. If you’re built like a girl then go for it I guess
Fits his wrist perfect actually. 👌
I have the glacier blue dial, 40mm. It’s my every day watch that for some reason I’m really excited to grow old wearing and give to my son one day
Tissot is such an underrated piece! I absolutely love them!!!
literally no one underrates Tissot - everyone has good things to say about them lol
Another CZcams ratings expert
Underrated???? Tissot are highly regarded among watch collectors. Why do people always claim everything is underrated? What does it even mean?
@johnblackburn9574 yes, the tissot gentleman is much nicer
Matt Gold finish Model also looks elegant.
I would like one, but might have to wait until Christmas 🎁
40 for me, also bc of the ice blue dial
def will be coming in for that blue or pearl
Thank God smaller watches are back.
Bought my lady the 40, she loves it
honestly, it depends on the circumference of the wrist, my wrist is 19 cm, I have the 40 mm version and it fits nicely and harmoniously. The 35mm has a smaller dial, it might look better, but it's too small for my wrist.
Exactly. It’s like a pair of jeans - try them on and find what fits. Too tight or too baggy both look awful, find the size that’s just right. I have the 40mm dark green quartz, perfect size my wrist which is just over 7.
Should get the quartz version, you don’t get double the value by just having the powermatic 80 imo
Damn these are pretty fire🔥🔥🔥
I love that watch in 35mm from videos which I saw. I loved braclet on gold PRX which I try in quartz model. But case was a little bit boring (not so special). I would love to see this white pearl version on gold braclet. Gold looks better on my warm skin tone, but gold braclet + gold case is a little bit to matchy. My wish is to have white pearl case version with gold braclet. It would be perfect version for me
Tried both 35 is perf wears like a 37 it’s magic just get one !!!!
I think either or I'd be fine but I might get whatever I can switch to the strap easier
Really don’t understand everybody calling the 40mm PRX big.. I tried one on, on my fairly skinny wrist and it didn’t feel big at all. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like big watches. I think it truely wears like a 40mm, no bigger.
I think the 40mm wears fine, but the integrated bracelet is what makes it flare a bit larger than what people expect a 40mm Watch to wear so because of that I like the 35mm more for me.
Honestly same I bought the 40mm and can’t imagine wearing a 35mm this fits fine and my wrist isn’t all that big
My wrist is 6.5 inch and I prefer 40mm over 35mm. Maybe 35mm is better for someone who desires that vintage feeling, but in general as for modern standards it just looks like it’s ladies watch (because actually it is) and it didn’t feel right for me.
@@litbystars3106you're wearing a man watch with a lady wrist
Same my wrist is also not that big and i tried both and the 35mm has such a small dial that i looks like a womens watch.
I love the design of the watch but unfortunately the 40mm didn't sit right on my wrist, I felt the lugs hitting my wrist bones in a strange way, it didn't feel "organic". So I went with the Gentleman's version which is also gorgeous.
I'll have to give the 35mm a try
Depends on wrist size.
i think the dark dials make the watch looks smaller
My wrist is 7 ¼” so the 40mm fits great on me but I think I’d prefer the 35mm. The 40mm isn’t big but I prefer smaller more classic sized dials while the majority of consumers are now trending towards larger dials.
Love this watch with white dial. Only complain is the lume is weak
Really cool! What’s the clock in the background when you show face cam? (On the wall)
Do you recommend its quatrz models?
Blue
I have huge wrist so 40 but personality I would buy the quartz over automatic specifically the rose gold and silver one it, has such a nice dial finish and you don't have to worry about winding or servicing it.
You should buy the quartz
Can you get the strap adjusted if it's too big?
🔥
What size wrist do you have? Just because I like how it looks on your wrist but worry it won’t fit mine like that. Thank you!
Love my Navy 35mm, my favourite by far!
Just purchase my 1st Tissot 35mm Powermatic in MOP…😍 however it keeps stopping. I reset my watch like 4-5 times. Please help…not sure if it’s a defect
definitely 35mm for 95% of all wrists. Modern watches are wayyy too big anyways, just a few days ago i looked at some Montblanc pieces and it’s honestly really impressive what they pulled off in the recent years, but pretty much all of them are just absurdly large. Such a shame, they are so nice for their price point but that just kills it for me
If you are tall definitely go for the 40mm but if you are small like the one in the video then 35mm is fine.
PRX 35MM Auto gold, 35mm chronograph digital (gold/steel) , 35mm ice blue when?!
What is your wrist size?
What is the circumference of your wrist.
What’s your wrist size? if you don’t mind me asking
It is warm green or cold green?
Now im intrested too buy TIsso Powermatic 80 with 38 mm its perfect fit . I yust fope it came in store .
35 mm
Green 🤌🤌💚
I have a 7.5 inch wrist. The 40mm looks better on me. Although I will make an exception: 35mm in gold PRX. No need to make it 40mm. That thing pops.
The 35mm doesn't seem to have compatible rubber straps directly from Tissot (?)
Well I tried the 35 mm but on my big wrist it just looks silly.
Goy myself a piece, waiting to get it through the mail
35 to small 40 mm is perfect
This tissot is similar AP Royal oak
35mm good
Can you tell us your wrist size?
Do they make a 50mm?
I’m torn between the 40 and 35 … tried both on guy at the store kept pushing me to go for the 40 but lug to lug it was literally the size of my wrist (I have a small wrist)
Go for the 35mm
Is it true that some parts in PRX movement is made of plastic ?
35mm is perfect if you have dainty wrists.
Didn't even know my boccia 3657 is a homage😅
How much is this?
Wrist size?
My mother of pearl 35 mm is coming Friday. It’s gonna be my first automatic watch.
Can i ask your wrist size?
What do you think about the size of the watch?
I just received mine, it looks a little small, but after 2 days I'm loving it, you just need to get used to it
@@tizio2332does it have lume?
@@zionic8706 yeah, but its not very bright
What should I get if I have a 7.5 inch wrist?
40
Small watch on big wrist is fine, but big watch on small wrist is meh. My 6.25 inches wrist would love the 35mm.
Is the price going up on these? Basically im asking if i need to quit chickening out and go ahead and buy one. Ive got the Prx quartz, Havent upgraded yet
Just keep the quartz. It really is better money
Unless someone is nice enough to purchase one for me I don't think I'd ever spend to get the watch. I also would get the smaller diameter version. The larger diameter version doesn't look right to me
I have prx pm80 40mm green and prx gold pm80 35mm, 35 is nicer on your wrist👌 that doesn't mean that 40 doesn't look nice on your wrist
The 35mm is waaaay too small surprisingly. I thought it would be perfect but it looks too feminine and the 40mm seems oversized on my 15.5cm wrist
38 would be great. I will just buy the 40mm probably and train my forearms :D
Quartz really is the way in my opinion. The dial is doing too much in the way of paying homage to the Royal Oak
How much bro ?
Yes, but the guts are plastic. So if it needs to be serviced...? Also has no adjustments if timing is fast/slow
For me is 46mm perfect😂
35mm and quartz. The original was quartz, this modern version deserves the quartz movement too. It's a 70s inspired design, a watch from an era when people wanted the superior quality and reliability of quartz movements. Do the PRX name justice and get the quartz.
The 40mm wears like a 42mm because of the bracelet
the 40mm is pretty small already, 35mm would be tiny
I honestly like the quartz version more. The thing that put me off of the automatic was the fact that you can't adjust the balance. The quartz obviously doesn't have that issue.
You can adjust the balance. It's a free sprung, you just need to turn the "screws" on the balance rim, just like gyromax
@@watchnerds I was under the impression that you couldn't. Oh well, I got the quartz anyway.
I honestly don't understand automatics in an age of quartz movements. You're getting something less accurate and more costly to maintain...
@@Chad_Max good luck finding IC in the next decades...
@@Chad_Maxa phone is much more accurate, its not like people wear watches to tell time
I tried the 40mm one in a boutique and even that felt a little small for my wrist, I have a 7 inch wrist.
Interesting. I had a 40mm PRX and sold it, felt like a dinner plate on my 7" wrist
@@adamvk1 Maybe I have been used to the 42mm and 45mm watches that's why 😅
@@omkarprabhu777what also matters is how round/flat your wrist is. The problem with the 40mm is the absurd lug-to-lug of well over 2 inches due to the integrated bracelet. If your wrist is 7in, but flat, it'll look as it should. If it's round but 7 inches, you literally can't even see the bracelet from top-view. Also massive holes where the bracelet starts to taper.
I have a 6.6 wrist and i wear the 35mm version
Both size work for me but personally I prefer Quartz.
why
Im new to watches and a lot of people talk about going to shops to try things on. Is that acceptable if you are only window shopping? Like how can I accomplish this? Im unsure how to even find AD'S near me...
If you’re in New York, you’re more than welcome to stop by my store, Carat & Co. to try these on. Otherwise it’s a good way to build a relationship with your local AD. I would tell them upfront that you’re still learning about watches and maybe not ready to purchase that same day and you just want to see your options. Please also respect the dealers’ time if they are busy in shop. No seller likes to spend hours with one customer and have it lead to nowhere.
@@MinuteMon this is exactly the information I was hoping for. I wish ID a was in new york seeing carat & Co would be my first destination after a quick slice of pizza! Im here in the gulf. Id probably go to biloxi .
克名店拉…What’s that mean?
40 all day
You would have to be a dainty man for a 35mm watch to fit properly on your wrist, the 35mm is clearly for women.
I have an 7.7 inch wrist. Should I go for the 35mm or 40mm?
40mm for sure. The watch already wears pretty small with a sleek retro look, the 35mm would look like a ladies watch on you!
@@JakeGittes84 That's what I thought too. Thanks for the advice. ✌🏾
@@lorenzor7993 You bet
35mm
I tried both of them, 35mm is way to small, and ny wrist is not even that big, I'm 7.1"
Can women pull the 35mm off?
This or the orient Kamasu?
Hi, can i ask your wrist size?
6.4” / 16.26cm
But I have wrists like a yeti so I had to get the 40, it still looks like I am wearing an aspirin on my wrist
I know that feel. Still want one tho.
I think the chronograph version is a bit bigger than 40mm
I still prefer the 40mm the 35mm is really for female and that’s a fact!
Mention your wrist size as well
6.4” / 16.26cm
Man, I just don’t like it. I know its very popular but it just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I should try one on.
My 19.5 cm wrist doesn't agree.
Where’s the store located?
Carat & Co. in Flushing New York
If you are over 6ft and 200lbs you need a 40mm
35 mm is for everyone 40 mm isn't
I like this model but most Tissot look cheap or like a Nixon
