Of course I want more RnineT RAWs.
I know a guy with an RnineT standard, he's been talking about upgrading to something more hair-raising for the last two years but everytime you ask him why he hasn't yet he says that the Rninet is just so randomly captivating he can't bring himself to turn his back on it...BMW managed to distill some kind of magic with this platform.

Watching schaaf ride the RNineT is like watching someone eating a dish from a menu you had in consideration, but the last second decided for another dish.
And you can't stop watching him enjoying the dish and can't concentrate on your own.
What I'm trying to say is... I got the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 and not the RNineT.
Next time I will get what schaaf is eating 😉

But anytime I look at the Speed Twin or ride it, I can't help myself and smile.

I have the R nineT Classic as well as the air cooled R 1200GS.
Basically the same motor, but in the R nineT it sounds so much better, and the torque and handling of the R nineT is just in a different league.
For my long trips the GS, but for EVERYTHING else, the R nineT comes out of the garage...

I cannot fully describe it either... I come from the background of rather V-twins (Moto Guzzi recently, Ducs, and earlier Harleys). I thought for many years, HD would have had the most addictive sound and then Ducatis. Until I did a test ride of the R9T. This led me to sell my Moto Guzzi and buy a 719 R9T. The sound is a perfect mix of smooth and soothing in the first km, when the engine is cold (almost reminds me of the speed triple), to then develop this grunt, twin sound with a touch of old race BMWs.

I really love my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and have no desire to replace it... until Schaaf uploads an R nineT video. God, the sound and torque from that boxer twin.

For me R nineT never have been interesting bike, before testing it last year. But i tested Pure model, it had forks from s1000rr and i loved it. Hope one day i will buy it for everyday use and keep my Daytona 675R only for track day use

I put a few 100km on a R nine T last year over a weekend. It is definitely a fun bike, able to be thrashed and ridden mellow in equal measure. The sound is quite addictive... Thanks for the reminder :)

Weather here is not what I like to ride in, but this video made it clear that I should just go and ride in Spain if the weather is too bad to ride back home. Got an f800 gs adventure but can't have that exhaust on my bike. Would only upgrade for one that does.
I rented a Harley Streetglide with a Jekyll and Hyde exhaust system once and was absolutely blown away by it 🥰
P.S.: it does work with big boxer engines but haven't heard a good raw video with it yet 🤔
TeapotOne has a J&H exhaust on his 1250GS - not sure if he has made a raw video with it though.

Why can't the nineT get the 1250 motor?
I guess they wanna keep it air-cooled for as long as emission allow, suits the retro vibe. I really wanted to like it but found the ‘17 Pure a bit underwhelming on a demo. The ‘21 on models are apparently noticeably peppier. There’s always the r1250r?
@@rsq72 R1250R is a modern alternative indeed. If I want that retro thing, Triumph models edges it imho.
Unfortunately Triumph doesn't have a Boxer :D
If price, mileage, comfort, tech, safety didn’t matter to me, then this would be my bike!

Price: not cheap, but I feel you can keep this bike for a looong time, it will age well.
Mileage: 5.2L/100km, not that bad.
Comfort: it gets somewhat discomfortable after around 300km. Some say it getts better with a better seat + better suspension (costly).
Tech: too much tech would kill this kind of bike. IMO it's really in the sweet spot in the 2021 model.
Safety: not sure what you're refering to.
I love mine, a 2021 roadster.
I love a good boxer sound so a couple more wouldn't hurt ;) I have to say tho that I've ridden a Scrambler once and the way this thing turns is just not compatible with my brain.

Nichts entgangen! Ich glaub, ich hab mit der 9T tatsächlich nie gekratzt. Aber ich fahr damit schon auch etwas entschleunigt ;)
Great bike but extremely cheap suspension for the asking price. We do not have this road condition in Greece and the suspension was just horrible.

LOL, completely different experience...RnineT was the greatest disappointment of my early biking life... Super killer looks, but it turned out to be a bland, sluggish bike, with cheap controls, clunky gearbox, and the nasal droning of the Akra system. I think my Husky 701 has more urban and GS vibes than the RnineT. :D

Still, I sort of enjoyed how original and different it felt 😂😅
It’s a beautiful machine, but stupidly expensive, I think it doesn’t even have a fuel gauge which is ridiculous. If the price was right I still believe that those would sell much much more.

I like the bike but LOVE the roads !!!
It will not be long before I can get my bike out again but I will be forced to dodge the pot-holes and gravel that is laughingly referred to as a road. Don't know why the council wastes money on traffic-calming measures when the pot-holes do the job already.
If the Police can prosecute me for having an unroadworthy vehicle why do they not prosecute the council for having an unroadworthy road ?

@@christga100 China is known for the fact that metals in particular are stretched during production. The quality suffers massively.

The whole R NineT model range is a complete rip off. But they're the only one with the glorious boxer engine and unfortunately BMW is aware of that fact. Everything becomes a bit unimportant as soon as there's an engine like that ;)
