The ONLY reason Connor got to the 10th round is because Floyd allowed it. He told Everyone that this was going to be a different type of fight..he went TOWARDS Connor the whole fight which means he didn't feel threatened at all. Connor fans saying "see he did land punches and easily" ok other than that uppercut (which should of hurt Floyd bad and didn't) he didn't land any solid punches and he also only landed because Floyd didnt fight the way he normally does..if he didn't fight that way Connor would not have been so successful "LOOKING" if you truly believe Connor had any kind of chance your are dreaming and are in Denile!

Crazy things is, Floyds young fighter Gervonta Davis did the same thing to his oppenent just before the mcgregor fight! Allowed punches and faked fatigue for multiple rounds then pounded his oppenent to the ground. I couldn't believe it.

Spot on, MMA fans have no knowledge of boxing, the referee saved Conor further punishment so he can fight another day. MMA fans are use to ground and pound. This was a boxing match. And they will not admit this, but Floyd could have pressured Conor sooner and got him out of there 2 or 3 rounds sooner.

Prior to the conor / Mayweather fight every ufc fan was saying " punchers chance" or "if he catches him " ...so why doesn't that apply to the boxer? A mma guy could clearly get ko'd by a punch ...but all I'm reading is mma skill and technique are superior vs boxing. Sounds good but what does any of that mean if you don't see that one punch? In a real fight it's any ones game. We've all seen it before in street fights , mma , boxing, wrestling etc.

Boxers have by far the most dangerous hands of any combat athlete, and 99% of "real fights" are people punching each other in the face. I've actually never seen anyone shoot for a take down or throw out a spinning back kick in a real fight, ever.

I'm Irish and a fan of Connor, I even grew up a couple of miles away from him. However like it or not there is a lot of truth spoken here. Connor wasn't ready to go toe to toe with Floyd despite the fact that FM is 40, was over a stone lighter, had half a training camp (didn't spar). This was just about the money and well done to CMG for getting a great payday.
Rappaport is one of the only honest person in sports TV.

I grew up watching boxing, training on taekwondo as a kid, wrestled, grappled, and fought Muay Thai! I'm a fan of both boxing and mma. People who say they hate the other are morons! They have never fought or competed and have no clue what is going on!

That's such a blanket statement to say all UFC fans hate boxing. We just know MMA is a real fight and boxing is a quarter of a fight. We just like real fights more.

Honest take
What exposed boxing in that bout was the pure frustration of watching Mcreggor not allowed to use all of his tools. Lets be real. A knee, followed up with elbows to Mayweathers face (whilst) he is on the canvas. It just made boxing look unrealistic.
