Best fun bike ever ❤ great video guys i enjoyed it very much, have the 2019 yellow one and dit 23.000 km in 3 years, with the biggest smile on my face. They are absolute bullit proof
That's fantastic news! Congratulations on your upcoming Honda Monkey pickup - it's such an exciting moment. I'm thrilled to hear that my adventures have inspired you. Riding brings about a sense of freedom and discovery unlike anything else. Wishing you endless joy and unforgettable experiences on the road ahead with your new Monkey!
You couldn’t have chosen better bikes. To me that’s what an adventure is all about. Bet you were glad to have the 5 speed gearbox version with an oil filter. How’d they hold up? Fantastic weather apart from what looked like the one rainy day.
Hi, I agree with you. On a small bike trip feels like an epic adventure in some way. During the trip we meet a lot of GS, Africa and Tenere riders who were impressed. Few of them shake our hands, took pictures and even asked if they could sit on a Monkey 😊 Monkey is perfect conversation starter. 5 gear was a bonus when we hit motorway. Monkey hold very well and we had zero issues.
I have kawasaki z125 pro se, another mini moto from kawasaki. And today order honda monkey to replace my vespa primavera. Looking for to ride on this little monkey.
Hi, thank you. Speed was dependant on conditions (wind, hils,…). I would say on highway we been doing 50-65 miles per hour. We have been filling up every 90-100 miles (highway driving) with 1 bar left on yellow monkey and 2 bars on blue monkey. We always fill up same volume, but for some reason yellow monkey always show that have less fuel by 1 bar. On none motorway roads we done more miles per tank.
Hi, we every time booked places we sleep with parking and had disk locks over night and was no issue. Fuel from road side was ok. Price was little bit higher than at fuel station but not by a lot.
I bought a Dax repilca from Skywalk for trip to east (Kirgisistan or so...) with my Salkuki dog in future...best bike for this because of 78kg and size for all car transport in case of problems with the bike... wide tires for all terrain are best... easy to find spare parts in all region of the world because this motor is driven world wide often...
Hi, nice plan. 78kg is very light 👍 I have on my list Kyrgystan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and hopefully Turkmenistan (if they open border). But that only in near future and probably I will do that on Honda CT125 🙂
Thanks for the nice video. Which luggage rack did you install? Was it good? I may need one of these soon. Oh well, now I see it: the Takegawa large rear rack.
Hi, we drove from Spalding UK to Plymouth and then took ferry to Santander Spain. Drove through all Spain and then took ferry to Morocco. Plan was to see desert and then after seeing it we drove back 🏍️
@@Jev8oy that's awesome 👍 tnks for prompt reply mate, much appreciated.im new to biking and I'm torn between the Honda cub or the monkey? Less room for storage gear on the monkey I'm guessing?.
@@keithdouglas9848 Keith, I’m new as well. Got my license last year and 2 months later gone to Morocco. Monkey has less room, but then you take less stuff with you (less is more..) Cub could carry more and it semi auto. Don’t be put off by small bike. Go test drive both. I would say what ever you choose is going to be fun. Little advice: don’t waste much time on trying to find best bike or gear otherwise you never going to leave..
@@Jev8oy really appreciate that mate , that's great advice. Personally I think the monkey looks cooler and yeah less is more. New subscriber from Ireland.tnks buddy 👍👍
Hi, no we did not. In general I would say in Morocco a lot of fuel stations even in the less populated areas. We did end up buying 3 times fuel from locals. Stop at any village and ask for fuel in case you about to run out. Someone in the village will sell you. Part of the adventure 😉
Hut ab ! Großartiger Trip auf außergewöhnlich, tollen Motorrädern...
@@rolandzimmermann6800 Hi, thank you!

Amazing adventure. I wish I could do something like this.
For who cannot, CZcams exists. Back in the day was not even that

That was brave to take that bike on such a long ride
Hi, Honda Monkey proven to be able to do long distance journey. 125cc bit small, but definitely doable.
Love the music track ❤

Is there any news on consumption? And on the cruising speed on "open" roads or highway? Beautiful video!

Thanks for the quick response. - Sorry, talking about consumption I mean km/l or mpg...@@Jev8oy
@@robertozei4459 I didn’t calculate exactly. I would say 2.5l per 100km on motorway at full speed. My weight is 85kg and bag was 7kg. Hope that helps.
Brilliant
Thank you!
Good adventures, did you manage with keeping the bikes safe from thief's and the like ? Also was the fuel ok in the bike from the road side vendor's?

Running stock seat? How was it after so many KM's back to back to back to back days =D ?
Hi Paul, seat is stock and I really like it. No issue whatsoever. We had some days where we drove 10 hours per day with little stops and no drama 🙂
THanks!! Happy riding.

The monkey has an amazing stock seat! That’s goldwing-level comfort :)
so how much did this trip cost if I may ask ?
Hi, it cost us £1500 each. Could cost less if you pre-book ferry in advance and stay in cheaper hotels/air bnb.
only one bag each?
Hi, yes only one bag each 🙂
