    I want to do my PCV valve, water pump, thermostat, carbon cleaning and whatever else but every time I see one of these videos I get intimidated. And I'm not one to be easily intimidated but there seems to be so many little plastic pieces that can break and require some special way of removing. Thanks for the video, i'm sure it'll be very helpful if I decide to do that big job. I appreciated that you talked through each step unlike other similar videos.

      My biggest scare is when I do go to DIY on my car. And something isn't coming off or bulgling at all. Like if I need to take off a sensor. I'll be careful but then it won't budge so I try to apply a good amount of force and its still not enough 😂 then I'm scared if I put more force I might snap it or break it.

      @@boostdynamictuning Thanks! That's good to know as mine was diagnosed with a 'misting' stat housing and Audi wanted £650 to replace it as the SC needs to come off! Haven't topped up the coolant up after 18 months, so not a leak to worry about. Also get an occasional PCV valve fault every now and then, might be something else than the valve. Mine is the 2015 CREC engine with revised PCV, revised SC with larger intercoolers, 12 fuel injectors etc so shouldn't have the PCV issues of the older engines.

      @@boostdynamictuning Thanks, just checked that out and the TSB shows a seal in the EVAP canister near the fuel tank. Also give MIL on and a certain fault code. I have no MIL on, just when I do a quick VCDS diag check from time to time, it flags an intermittent fault on the PCV, usually after about 10 mins of driving and at idle. No noticeable signs when engine is running, wouldn't even know it has this flagged fault if I didn't do a periodical VCDS curiosity diag check. Keep this videos coming, makes me tempted to pull the SC, even just for a check of the stat and PCV valve!

    Trying to understand how to keep air out of coolant system - hope you can clarify for me.. Almost all the other videos showing Audi S/C removal drain all fluid and then use a vacuum to put all new fluid in. Since there is coolant in S/C and if S/C is lower than level of coolant in expansion tank when you remove coolant hoses, won't fluid seek it's own level and spill out of hoses once detached and also coolant in S/C leak out front of S/C. I didn't see much coolant loss @ hoses or S/C so did you lower coolant level in Expansion tank before removing coolant hoses in front of s/c? Also How do you avoid any air being introduced when you pressurize system? Thanks in advance for your help as I'm trying to do S/C this weekend and don't want all the good things I do undo by air in system.

    • @boostdynamictuning
      @boostdynamictuning  Před 3 lety

      You’re over thinking it a little. I didn’t lower coolant or do anything special. I simply filled with coolant. Then pressurized the system. After holding pressure for 15 minutes I know I have zero leaks. I then release air by unscrewing the supercharger screws a little. This is all shown in the video. You can vacuum if you have a vacuum machine. Both get the job done efficiently.

    Все эти полировки и "растягивания анусов" тоже самое что анонизм - процесс вроде есть, а результата нет. Расширение каналов и полировка не даёт и 5% прироста даже на атмосферном двигателе, что уж говорить про надутые двигатели. От того что вы там из 70мм сделали 76мм изменится только скорость воздушного потока, объёмное наполнение горшков не изменится даже на 2%. Хуйня полная.
