I wish the stmbldc drive was still available. Those were awesome however the driver ships are no longer produced. Finding good servo ac drives for diy is getting harder. I ended up using advanced motion drives for $20 with a step 2 linear board. Your videos are sick. Thanks for posting!
There is some good news about those chips for the stmbl. Some company bought all of the surplus stock, like 15,000 of them, and they are for sale. Unfortunately they only sell them in batch lots, I forget how many, but around 10 or so minimum. Some people on the gitter server run by the stmbl dev have organized group buys to meet the minimum order requirements.
