    Hi, i have a yamaha digital synthesizer, do i have to use it as a midi keyboard to play via ableton?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  Před 3 lety

      Yes, you'll want to make sure it sends midi and then it will work with Ableton.

      @@SundaySounds how do i do that? I tried but it's in the audio channel.. How do I set it as a midi signal?

      @@Akshay_Vocals you may need to change a setting inside the keyboard, I'd check out your user manual. If you need more help, reach out to us here: sundaysounds.com/contact

    Hey there!! Thanks for being such a great resource! I'm VERY new to mainstage so I apologize. I have a question... Is there any way within mainstage to create multiple tempos for 1 set? And to switch between them live? The only way I could think of doing this is by creating multiple Metronome channel strips at the concert level.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi, you can set the tempo you want within each patch, click on the patch > Patch Settings > Attributes. If you want the same patch at multiple tempos, you might want to create a second patch with that tempo. We like to use the nanoKontrol2 and assign one of the arrow buttons to the next button on the Sunday Keys template to scroll through them that way.

    • @lukemrk_24
      @lukemrk_24 Před 5 lety +1

      Sunday Sounds thanks so much for your response and help :) I actually figured out a way to create multiple tempos for one patch! It's SO simple. It doesn't quite fit in to the Sunday Keys template but if you think it would be a good idea, I'd love to share it with you!!

    Hey David I just bought Sunday keys went through the 2 steps downloading Sunday keys then the sounds but then I’m stuck on the part 3,Do I need a USB cord to get midi set up to my Mac to my Nord stage 3?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  Před 5 lety

      Hi, you'll want to check your user manual for getting this set up, but I believe for the Nord you need a midi to usb cable.

  • @therealhumancondition6921

    Is it just me, or does it sound you have a heavy reverb on this? When using the Grand Piano Preset it's not creating this reverb at all. Why does it sound so when listen to you playing?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  Před 4 lety

      You might be hearing some of the sound bleed into the mic from the studio monitors towards the end of the playing demos. Ableton does have a good reverb plugin that you can add to the sound if that is what you are after. We did a tutorial in Ableton that covers how to add a nice shimmer verb here: czcams.com/video/QbSCFKL8Qfs/video.html

      I have a similar issue. My base (unmodified) grand piano sound is very thin. Not rich at all like the start of this video. I can follow the steps to add compression, no issues there. I'm new to ableton so I'm not sure if there' something obvious I'm missing. Using ASIO4ALL on windows.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  Před 4 lety

      Check these things in Preferences: Select MainStage 3 > Preferences > General > Tuning- check that this is set to 440Hz. Select MainStage 3 > Preferences > Audio > Sample Rate- check that this is 44.1 or 48. If you are using an audio interface, you'll want to make sure this matches your audio interface- 44.1 is the default for most of them.
