  • I started my weight loss journey on June 1st. I decided to go with a calorie restricted diet to start me off so I opted to try slim fast and give it a week and see how I get on. I would really like to try and lose 100 pounds but I know this is probably going to take me a couple of years at the rate I lose weight, but what's that saying.....it's a marathon not a sprint lol

    Great vlog. I’m interested in how you get on. I think you should do a weekly blog. I’m doing Slimming World. 10 and half pounds lost (since Christmas!!!!). It’s such a chore! Keep going xxxx

      Thank you. I've done Cambridge before it's really hard core. I did 3 shakes a day but then my body got used to the calories and some weeks I would just stay the same. Ut was soul destroying and if I did it again would only do it for a short period for a boost. But I'm really at the point I could eat sand and still put on weight lol

      To be honest I'm the same...I'm peri menopausal and it's so hard to shift...if I so much as look at a biscuit I put on lol! I'm losing on average 2 to 3 lb a week so I'll take that...better than putting it on! When I first did it 6 years ago I was losing 4lb a week...I smashed it! But then I ate like a friggin pig again and piled it on over the years!
      I've got arthiritis in my ankles I'm in agony and I need to shift it, so I will stick with this for as long as I can stand and then I'll calorie count x
      I'm 2 and a half stone down, another 4 to go....feels like a mountain I'm climbing but any progress we make has got to be good! X

      That sounds fantastic. 2to 3 pounds is brill. Do you have food to or just the shakes. I'm definitely tempted to do a month on Cambridge it's just really expensive. That's why I tried with slimfast

      I do a mix, my fave is a porridge in the morning (I get original and add coconut flavour drops), then the Bolognaise at teatime and a peanut bar at night. But sometimes I have a hot vanilla shake made into a coffee, or make the shake into a mousse and at weekends I go bloody crazy and add some spinach and chilli to the Bolognaise 😂😂
      I enjoy the products so I'm lucky in that respect and I still have a touch of milk in my 2 brews a day. I need my coffee first thing!
      As for the price...I was spending about the same on SW with all the fresh meat and veg, then my weekly cheat meal and bottle of wine or 2!
      I'm a greedy shit so I need something so restrictive, it works for me but it's not easy, especially for the first few days x

      @@delandalf5381 you definitely have to be in the right mindset for it. I salute you for sticking to it. When I did it I had the chocolate mint and made it hot or I had the strawberry tetra packs. Just 3 shakes, no food. I think I'm still scarred from it hahaha. I lost about 18 pounds, can't remember over how long though, it was a few years ago. How much longer you gonna do it for?

    Hi! I think you made the shake with too much ice. Its watered down. Just use one cup of milk and half cup ice, then blend. I use about 4 frozen strawberries in there too. Helps kick up the flavor. ❤️

    some of you make this so hard and its not. Just have a shake in the morning and one for lunch and a dinner with no more than 800 calories and drink water no juice and no soda. You will be at your weight before you know it. If you really follow this there is no way that you wont loose weight.

      Your not silly. You just have to follow the plan . We lie to our selves and we are adding to many calories to our diet. The body is like a Bible it is what it is, if you do not do the right thing you will not loose the weight. I know its hard but its only in your head.

      @@rondothard1698 That’s what I liked most about this program is the simplicity factor. To be certain about dinner I’d get a low sodium lean cuisine type thing within the allotted calorie threshold, again to remove any guesswork.

      @@faithintheunseen1294 its simple. Just follow your caloric intake and you will be inshape before you know it. You don't have to exercise if you don't want. You know that you should how ever if you don't you'll be fine.

    My knees feel like they are giving out. But I am not that old. So maybe I will be doing this as well. (137 kilos now, I think 130 kilos will be better for my knees).

    I love slim fast so much and it’s been four weeks now that I have been using are use the powder one. I finished the strawberry flavour and that was so delicious and now I’m using banana flavour which is so delicious and the new ones are bit more lower calories 225 cal, and no added sugar at all which is really good and extremely tasty and it is really works I use exactly what it says. The slim fast website has got Little peas with ingredients and many more things and I do follow it exactly and you know what it is so delicious and so filly. I have lost a lot of weight obviously not fast but I do exercise as well at the same time I do recommend everyone… And I’m going to use two or three months more then I’ll be done it I’ll be in best weight for my self.

    The Chocolate Royale shake mix is the best!!. I use my nutribullet to blend the shakes.

    That's far too much ice, which is why the shake was tasteless. I use 3 small cubes.

    96kg→60kg in 8month with slim fast.
    2times meals replaced. It workd but period stopped and start having grey hair.

      @@SlimOnTheInside I've purchased mine at Walmart but I also know you can purchase them thru Amazon. They are so good and 160 calories, 15 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, 2 grams of carbs, all that with only 1 gram of sugar. Even without all those perks I'd still drink them because they are addictingly good. I hope you try them.

      @@gailjlyons2000 oh that's a lot less calories than these shakes, they sound more like the Cambridge shakes. Unfortunately we don't have a wallmart in the UK. I'll have a look on amazon though. Might be worth a try x

      @@SlimOnTheInside My favorite is Dark Chocolate Royale, I always have some in my refrigerator. It feels like more of a treat than a chore like a meal replacement shake usually does.

    How are you doing now? It’s 3/26/23. Just started Slim Fast. Figuring around 1300 calories/day. I have 80 lbs to lose. I have in the past lost 5 stones in 13 months. Off the diet, up about 23 lbs regain so looking to get it off. I’m from Florida, USA.

      Well I gave up with slim fast pretty quick because I am just too greedy lol, I always end up putting on. Funny enough I got weighed this morning and I'm exactly the same weight today as in this video 🤣🤣

      @@SlimOnTheInside I did Keto. Counted carbs and very low sugar. Lost 2 lbs. in 3 weeks. So, I’m the past lost 5 stones, 70 lbs in 13 months eating Keto with their Keto products from Slim Fast. My Dr. wanted me off if Keto. That caused me in 6 months to balloon 24 lbs. Trust me, she is wrong and I used heart healthy olive and avocado oils and a little butter. So ignoring her. Back at it as of today. I don’t want to fast or do Omad. That’s ridiculous. Just keep the snacks and the meal in the day filling and sensible. Get the regain off and continue. I have brand new clothes and shoes in 1-2 lower sizes. A lot invested but you know, I know these products work and yes I know the hunger to get past and then it is ok. Rather that than have my weight stay up. Next year in the Summer of 2024, wanting to go on a tour all over Great Britain.

    I did it for a week lost ten pound,had 3 shakes a day, two of the Sf bars dinner 500cal,stay away from white bread and pasta and chocolate even though it's counted as cals it's bad cals,keep it up you look great.🤗

      Thank you I'm just finding it an uphill battle. I'm actually starting to think my iud might be the cause of the struggle but that's just a tiny hope that if I get it taken out a miracle will happen lol

    I remember after having my daughter I put quite a bit of weight on. I was 13 stone (for a 25 year old that quite large).
    I went on slim fast and lost 5 stone in weight to 8st and maintained it until I got pregnant again a few years later 🤣

    I'm doing this currently but instead of ice I use frozen fruit, when I'm feeling dangerous I'll add frozen bananas to a chocolate smoothie with a spoon of peanut butter....lol,you try to make the best of it however you can.

    Better to put milk in jug add slimfast blend then add ice then blend again if you want it more strawberry tasting add a few drops of my protein flavour drops in strawberry flavour 😊

    It’s much easier to diet when you are eating real food instead of shakes. Keeps you fuller for longer, and doesn’t feel like torture!

    i feel your pain i tried slimfast didnt go well for me . i also did the slimming world diet and lost 2 stone in 6 months was never hungry .. they have meals in iceland and recipies on there sight all calorie counted .. oh by the way 4 years later my 2 stone has reared its ugly head need to get it off again 😂

    I'm in much the same boat but it the feet for me. Been on so many diets over the years, but have never tried any of the meal replacement ones as they usually involve milk which I can't stomach. I lost 2 1/2 stone in 2 months last year on Michael Moseley fast 800 diet which was brilliant but I couldn't sustain it and with lockdown have put it all back on.

      Oh no I'm sorry to hear that. It's just a never ending struggle isn't it. The only thing that really works for me is to do alternate days of whatever diet I'm doing so every other day I'm having about 600 calories but even with that I'm lucky if I lose a half a pound a week!

    Am on day 12 of my slimfast diet so far. The first few days were tough but now it isn't so bad. I think the first few days your body is rebelling and crying out saying where is my food. It is used to you stuffing a load of stuff down your neck. Don't get me wrong though there has been a couple of days that I have cheated and had two meals.
    Here is what I have had today. Breakfast 1 banana milkshake(made with unsweetened soya). Snack slimfast chocolate cameral(actually quite nice). Lunch: Slimfast Chocolate Orange Meal Replacement bar. Snack: half a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk Oreo(only 117 calories for 3.5 chunks). Dinner: Roast Beef dinner(400 calories) and two slices of toast with some home made blackcurrent jam(am a man so need more calories) and half a twix. 1558 calories(estimated).

      I agree the first week of a diet is always the hardest till your body becomes accustomed to it. How much have you lost altogether?

      @@SlimOnTheInside No idea I don't have any scales but the last time I checked my weight I was at least 22 stones but that was a few years ago. I do know my belly has shrunk a little though. Planning to do this until mid November or so.

      @@SlimOnTheInside Weighted myself today. I am bang on 20 stones(that is 280lbs for our American friends). Been following this diet for a little over 3 weeks so I assume I started at around 21 stones. Had a couple of cheat days though. Actually I was surprised that I was only 20 stones I thought I would be a lot more heavier. The scales only go as high as 18 stones so the thing stopped on 1 stone(so 0 would be 19 and 1 would be 20) so that might be inaccurate.

    Make sure you are getting at least up to 1200 calories a day or your body will start storing fat because it's in starvation mode! Much love! My journey started three days ago, I was around 250lbs last time I weighed myself after having my daughter. Good luck to us all!

      @@inactiveaccount6359 I think I only stuck it for a week then I just had the calories to the same amount. I am a very very slow loser. My friend at work did it and she had great success. She started the same time as me and was losing about 3 or 4 pounds a week, she had less to lose than me and did a lot of walking. I've just done Cambridge for a week so will be posting that video hopefully soon when I get my computer sorted again

    😊You could have lost more pounds if you had stopped eating bread and instead eat more vegetables in your meals, proteins and fruits. 😅👍🏾
