It’s interesting bc he’s also wearing a brace on his elbow. So that was bothering him here. That’s the reason he had to stop drumming. What sad for me is right after he stopped and he could finally spend time with his new family he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

A few weeks later Neil's daughter died in a car crash and 10 months after his wife died of cancer. And Rush was almost gone for good. It took over four years for Neil to recover and get behind the drums again, to give us more music and joy. And now he is gone too and it seems they will never play again.

I've read all of his books, I've seen all of his videos, I've seen dozens of live concerts. Which one was he? I know he was an icon, and a bird watcher. I know he was rock star, and the husband/father of the great people in his most personal life. Drummer, author, artist, cyclist, traveler, explorer, lyricist, dreamer, motor sports enthusiast, husband, father.........I truly believe he became the person outside of the "greatest drummer of all time." IDK, I'm becoming sentimental these days. I SOOO appreciate who he was outside of the fish-eye lense, the gilded cage. I believe he was the person outside of the Limelight.

I totally agree...I think it's because they weren't very popular with the younger crowds in 96/97, therefore being considered classic rock at that point but they were on the top of their game musically on that album. I'm not sure how heavily MTV put the videos they did for Test for Echo into rotation either...That would've helped promote the album more as well.

I paid (with fees) $47.50 a piece for 2 - 5th row seats at Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee in the summer of 97. I paid over 10 times that for 2 - 20th row seats to this week's Chicago show. #LoyalFan
