Ive been thinking this. I'm doing it more for that now then the video to put on here haha, great memories and snippets of life. Thanks for continuing to watch them!!
Its my go-to for events! the whole purpose of these videos is to make you rethink how you use existing lenses, this was a challenge but it made me alot more comfortable with the lens!
Lovely gentle insight into your world...great stuff. My a7iii is itching to come out to play but I’ve literally been too busy (lazy!!!) I’ve not shot one piece of video yet!!! just storing up the fun to be had!!! always pre-planning photos on iPhone...I just need to get out there. I can’t believe I’ve got such a great camera and the Sony 85 f1.8 just itching to be used...it’ll happen soon... Great video and content again...thanks 👍🏻
Great video Chris! Great to see you in shape, and boy the 70-200 f4 is a beautiful lens. One of my favourite lenses paired with my a9. Keep smiling, we'll get through this together. Peace ✌
I got tired of waiting for Sigma to release their 70-200mm lens and bought this one a couple of weeks ago. So far I'm very happy with it. Turns out it is way better than I had anticipated. And don't you worry lads...it's way sharper than what you would see in the various reviews on youtube.
Hang in there Chris ! I found this video very relaxing thanks for that . I ordered the 70-200 f2.8 yes it’s pricey but wanted to go for the kill and didn’t want to look back . My favorite lens so far is the 24mm f1.4 ... Stay safe Chris !
Yet another great video dude !!! It's really cool to know you also have a day job other than photo/video !!! Have you talked about it in the past do we know what you do for your regular job or is that something you keep to yourself ? If it is I respect that too !
Just added the incredible FE 100-400mm to my 16-35mm & 24-70mm i already owned. Ya some of you might ask why not the 200-600mm but I found that too heavy to hand hold most of the time.
Hey Chris, another QUALITY video from you brother. Great stuff. I wanted to pick your brains quickly. I only have 2 lenses for my A7iii, the 24-105mm f4 and the 85mm f1.8 ... I’m in the market for a wide angle lens now and can’t decide between the 16-35 f4, tamron 17-28 f2.8 and the newer Sony 20mm f1.8! I think you’ve tried/owned all 3. I know tamron probably best all rounder and at f2.8, its bokeh etc will be good enough for most projects BUT the 20mm f1.8 has got SO MANY strong positive reviews, I just can’t decide. I don’t have a ton of money either so looking for the best ‘bang for buck’ lens. The tamron is also wider but is there THAT much difference between 17mm & 20mm? Should I sacrifice 3mm of ’wideness’ and a little more cash for the 20mm or would you say Tamron is more than good enough? Hey this might even be a great new comparison video idea for you? I know Sony have very recently released a 12-24mm f2.8 but that’s so expensive, it’s def not an option for my budget at this time. Thanks 😊
Hey. Hard for me to say for you but the 16-35 is more well rounded, has OIS too. Tamrons are great budget lenses but I never loved them, the image just isn’t anything special compared to say the 16-35. Just my two cents. Personally I tend to go for primes now if I can so would get the 20 (which I’ve never used) it’s very very well reviewed, some even compared it to the 24 GM which I love. Only thing is it’s not nearly as wide as a 16.. tough decision
The Sony 70-200mm F4 G lens is a great lens for their cameras 24mp and under. Once you get to the higher resolution cameras (A7R series) it loses a little in overall sharpness and clarity. But it's perfect for the A6xxx, A9, A7 and A7S series cameras.
Any conclusions/comments Chris about using the 70-200 f4 so intensively,. extensively for a considerable period of time? I have been using mine a lot more lately to document a work project. I find that I am much more comfortable with handling it as a result but still wonder about getting the Tamron 70-180 f2.8 as it is a faster, lighter, less bulky lens ( but sadly with no lens stabilization) I would love to hear your thoughts ....... ahh, grass musings.
I honestly really enjoy the size and feel of it, I havnt looked into that Tamron much, does it have OIS? The OIS in this works so well that I constantly rely on it. Turning it off makes you realize how good it is. I personally dont see a reason to switch anytime soon, always love the image from it too!
Sock has has saved me minutes of stress every day / week over last few yrs! Fellow Canuck here, where abouts are you located Chris? ( city, don't need Addy ;) I've been contemplating getting one wheel PINT as a 30 min meditation roll every day, agree with you Chris 👍
As one English bloke living in Canada to another, need your advice....... I am switching from a decade old Canon 7D to the new Sony A7Siii for video work. All personal projects but I like high quality night video - lights, glows, etc - ..... anyway - what are the first few lenses I should be considering? they don;t need to be Sony and I generally prefer Primes with Video. This will be my first full-frame cam.
hmmm great question. I'm personally a fan of primes over anything else. the 24m GM is my fav, 2nd is probably the 55mm. If you are looking for cheap options, the Tamron primes really arnt that bad (other than fast AF)
Hi! I noticed you record with the same mic I have: Rode Videomic NTG, Can you tell me what accessories are you using on this video? Thank you for your work 😉
Yeah, I now have 4 different styles of socks... and I just throw them loose in a drawer, every morning it is sock roulette... I can easily pull one of each style without getting a pair...
@@chrisbrockhurst hello there, again… so when I commented on your video I was kinda of disappointed so I stopped watching it right away… I’m here again, I took my time to watch it all and to listen …. I gotta say that I liked it, the message is 👌.
A lot harder than it looks to shoot everything with a 70-200mm! After the RF35 I’m thinking 90mm macro.. what’dya think?!
Yes, please do the 90 macro for a month!
Chris Brockhurst Yes, macro would be great!
Chris Brockhurst It never quite feels right for me shooting video with the 70-200 f4
Love these images. Recently got this lens myself for my A7iii and I’m really happy with it.
This video series while still cool now will be so so so cool in 5-10 years!
Ive been thinking this. I'm doing it more for that now then the video to put on here haha, great memories and snippets of life. Thanks for continuing to watch them!!
Love this style of video mate, great work with the 70-200, not a lens I'd ever consider filming on usually!
Same! Gotta test yourself sometimes to learn
I love the mood in this video, nice video as always!
Thanks Hugo!
Love this video series always puts me at ease.
Thankyou!!
Great work Chris, I have the 70-200 f4 but would never have considered it for video. Will certainly be trying it now. Keep up the good work.

Very well done! You are such an inspiration 🙂
I enjoy these Chris, nice tempo, interesting and lighthearted . Love the sock tip hahah
Cheers Fella! That sock tip works well till Christmas and Mum buys you something totally off key hahaha
Love the 70-200mm, use it for all our action shots.
Eye af works with this lens If we use mc11 with it???
So peaceful. I freaking love this
Thanks Jack!!
Really fantastic and captivating video. Loved the aesthetics. Find the commentary to be very soothing. Happy that cases dropped in Canada. Good stuff
Appreciate the kind comments Bartek, means a-lot that others are enjoying these as much as I like making/editing them.

Such a nice and calm video. Thank you :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love it dude! Are you using HLG or EOS HD procolor on Sony A7 III? Love the colors!
This is a great piece mate!
Thankyou! A few others on the channel with the same style too
Hi Chris, love your videos. Do you still rate this Len’s after two years ? Or is there a better choice

I have briefly covered it, I like to keep it separate because it is super boring and not relevant at all haha.
Love the simplicity and flow of your story telling. Keep doing these!
Thanks Tom, appreciate it! Already working on the next
Great aesthetic beginning and nicee ending. ❤️ BIG FAN Buddy
Cheers man, appreciate it
love this series are you recording straight on camera i mean with video mic ntg?

fire shot @02:25 man! dust, sun beams, love it.
Yes!!! My fav shot of the whole video, light was perfect for it

Peterborough Ontario!
I’m in a toss up wether I should get the canon R6 or the Sony a7iii because they both have pros and cons
R6 has serious overheating issues for video
Awesome video!! Thanks
thanks for watching John
Hey Chris! How do you think this lens perform in low light / stage / concert photography?
Depends on the lighting setup! You will definitely need to crank the ISO

@@chrisbrockhurst Excellent thanks - I'm going to do some research on that 24 GM and 55, but feel I also need a nice 35 lol :)
Also, check out the 'new' Sony 20mm f/1.8 - that lens is killer!
Adrian de Graaf will, thanks for that extra info. So excited about this camera......
Great video, Greetings from Mexico
Hey!! Thanks for watching
Hi! I noticed you record with the same mic I have: Rode Videomic NTG, Can you tell me what accessories are you using on this video? Thank you for your work 😉
For the NTG? Nothing, straight out the mic sound!
Chris Brockhurst Sorry, I was referring to the pop filter and the foot you use to hold the mic, I don't know if it's a tabletop or a floor one.
I shoot Sony and have a Onewheel too so I can't wait to see the new channel. Is it up and running and what's it called?
I'll post it soon :)
Pretty cool man. Just found your channel
Welcome aboard!
A6400 Can it be installed?
Nice commentary...will serve as a great moment for your family. the music......not so much (HALLMARK Called)...stay safe, stay spaced,

Yeah, I now have 4 different styles of socks... and I just throw them loose in a drawer, every morning it is sock roulette... I can easily pull one of each style without getting a pair...

You should do spec ads 🤣

Do your coworkers know you’re a famous CZcamsr?
