You said “polarizing” which I think is pretty accurate. My only free spin experience was Batman The Ride at SF San Antonio. Pretty novel; I got a LOT of flipping. But I left the ride with a gnarly headache, so overall my impression is not good. I’ll definitely try Tumbili when I visit KD and see if my opinion changes.

i’ve never ridden the small version of the free spins like tumbili but the larger ones i enjoy a lot. even though it’s the same ride over and over and over again at all the six flags parks, i still enjoy riding them every time cause it’s always a different experience

Yeah hopefully I'll get on the bigger models soon, I actually kinda hope Kings Island gets one.

Yeah, that was one of the only rides of its kind left.

Went on my first free spin last year (Dragon Slayer) and it destroyed me. I can handle g forces sided to side and up and down just fine, but the violent forward and backward flipping wrecked me. I fell down 3 times on the way to a bench where I sat for 45 minutes and then gave up and went home.

Wow, you might have been experiencing extreme motion sickness

I rode my first two free spins this year. Joker at Six Flags Great America which I did not enjoy, and Dragon Slayer (Knight a.k.a the more wild side) at Advetureland and actually really enjoyed it. It really depends on how much it spins in my opinion. Without to much spinning it's to bland and awkward imo.

Yeah I found my Tumbili rides that didn't flip as much to be pretty boring, but with a lot of flips its crazy. I've heard some people say the smaller free spin models flip more so that might be why you liked Dragon Slayer more.

I am definitely not a fan of 4D free spins, i’ve ridden two of them and they just aren’t that interesting. There are better flat rides that give more intensity to be honest, and if I wanna Ride a coaster I would just go ride a coaster.

That's fair I can understand why people don't like them. If you don't get a lot of crazy flips it can be pretty boring

@@CoasterNerd The one I have ridden the most is Batman at Fiesta Texas, the original Free Spin and it flips fine but really the restraints are just painful. The coaster track itself doesn’t bring any real g forces so it all relies on the flips and they are just painful so I would much rather spend that time on an actual coaster or a really good flat ride.
