I threw a couple of sweet potatoes in one of my planters a few years ago and it grew and grew and grew and I cut it all the way back and I thought it was gone. It just keeps coming back every year. They’re absolutely beautiful and so easy to grow just stick a couple in a pot and you’ll see him grow.
So fascinating how the the plant reaches out and grows to wrap around itself and support itself. Feels like there's a message in that. Creation is so beautiful 🙏🏾💚✨
@@rebela_craftsyou can even do very little cuttings, each cutting needs one leaf. Put them for 1-2 week in water to let them grow some roots. Then put it in soil they grow crazy and seem be not easy to kill.
😅 I love growing sweet potatoes this way!! I love the vines!! I'll start some indoors and take them out to the garden and lay the vines flat and stretched out!! Beautiful plant and yummy, too!! Baked 🍠 with honey and butter is everything!!😂❤
@@iresineherb7 I'm fashionably late to this response, but, the non-organics tend to be sprayed with certain chemicals that increase the shelf-life and prevent natural propagation. For example, non-organic potatoes are soaked in an anti-rooting formula which prevents it from growing eyes, as this would reduce the quality of the potato and ruin the flavor over time. Unfortunately, this means it's future as a new plant is inhibited.
I grew these once and now any bit of dirt that touched the shovels when I Trolled up all of the area, pulling out the potatoes, any other place in the yard those shovels touched there's been potatoes sprouting up and growing.
I hate to laugh at this as I have had it happen with other stuff in the yard but it is funny as shit to just have random taters popping all over the yard lol
@@WookieWoman I've grown that too, sweet mint, chocolate mint, and none of them have done what the sweet potatoes do. For instance i have planter beds that haven't had sweet potatoes all season that have vines growing out now. Another area they were growing they got eaten to the ground and three months later they are growing beyond the area I was ok with them continuing to grow.
Hi. Can anyone please confirm if the methods in these videos work. I'd like to plant some of my own food & no one in the house eats some of the fruit & veg I like. I'd like to save some money & grow them myself
Love the fact that on Timelapse we can appreciate the plant acting Just like a living being … evolution has made those branches oscillate till they stick . So beautiful
I put one in a crystal geyser gallon bottle, after about 3 weeks it finally sprouted a root........from the bottom of the potatoe so I was forced to plant it in soil....

Most of the time the nutrient stores in the potato and the nutrients in the water are enough to get it started, but especially when it gets this big you'll need to transplant it to soil or use a supplement.
Now just cut those off put them in some water wait for them to tooth that many them in a large at least 10 gallon pot or growing a bag with some good potting pix and bam u can grow your own sweet potatoes
That’s not a sweet potato growing. That’s a bunch of possible sweet potatoes NOT growing. Every slip (green sprout) will grow its own roots which will grow a new potato. That is a single potato and potential potatoes wasted.
Another plant(exept weeds): u have to store us in a right temperature and at right humidity or else we will rot and die in no time Potato and weeds: WHERE THE F****** SOILS?!?!?!
never knew sweet potatoes grew such beautiful leaves
They’re also edible
And also very tasty.
@@bobg5362I thought they were poisonous
@@NainoLoLSome species are, it have many plants in it which also include flowering plants like morning glory which can be poisonous
Once the leaves grow, do you place it in soil?

Now make a timelapse cutting some of the stems off and rooting them in water or soil till you get a new whole sweet potato, that's just interesting
We’re working on it.
How do I know the stems are ready to be cut, plz ?
@rebela_crafts when you can pull them off easily by hand. Just put them in water same way they did the potato in the video

brb, going to buy a sweet potato
Make sure you buy organic tried propagating, a non-organic one and it didn’t work
@@samanthamorris2207what the difference?

Sounds like the spearmint issue I'm having. The people we bought our house from a few years ago apparently thought spearmint was a good idea... 😂😑

That one potato in portal 2:
Great music selection for this clip ❤
Wow. That’s a lot of growth very fast! ❤ beautiful
My mom had a sweet potato plant she grew on our cocktail table when I was a kid!! I remember how beautiful that plant was!!
The bg is just on point n perfect ❤
The root system looks cool.
Its pretty cool how the watering is done quicker and quicker the more roots there was
This is probably one of the coolest things I've seen
It’s like two ecosystems in one! Super beautiful! Praise The Lord of all Creation!
Lord ?
This is Mother Nature . Period
What lord of creation?
This is simply nature.
Can never find glass vases the right size for plants
Now take off the shoots and root em in water, plant em and get more potatoes
Yes, thank you! Scrolled forever to find what's next😂
Mashaa-Allah
Beautiful creation from wise creator
I really love sweet potato growing

So beautiful
Where is the clip of water filling?
It wants to climb. Give support.
Ya they wouldn't likecpole beans in their turf, yep it wouldn't end we'll, but the beans use strangulation coils, they would have the highest spot
This is the old way of sprouting a sweet potato,
Pet Iguanas love the leaves 😂😂😂
👍This video is extremely beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing. May God bring unlimited happiness for you! !

Ficou legal, eu colocaria algo como uma escada de corda e gravetos para ver a planta agarar ela.
Dam, I had it upside down. Thanks for the visual 🫡
Awesome thank you, now i know sweetpotato is in the beginning reddish and climbs 😁

Wow! That is spectacular🎉🎉🎉
So fascinating! Do more sweet potatoes eventually grow from those vines?
No, they grow in the ground
The roots will start to grow more potatoes if they're given enough space in the ground!
Do you add nutrients to the water, or does the plant just get its nutrients from the sweet potato?
What do u think ❤

Уиииии мне так нравится когда маленькие росточки делают вертушки😂😂😂
Love it!
Вроде картоха, а растет как огурец😅 магия!😂
Батат вообще ипомея))) К картофелю никакого отношения не имеет
Awesome....

फारच सुंदर!
That pot tatoo looks like a skull in the beginning
Would it be possible to transplant this into a pot?
Did you have yours in the sunlight? We are growing one for our class, but it is growing so slowly. It is week two and we only have a tiny bud.
Song?
Is useful to make plants and flowers listen to music at 432Hz. Did you know that? ❤️🙏🌹
And also at 528Hz 😄
it looks so alien, if you see it for first time...
Sweet, potato.
Is it okay to cut the tip and add it in water ?
Fun fact
Those shoots are called “slips” and you’re suppose to cut the, off and plant those instead
I lovi'n It
That’s one thirsty potato
Wow!
Can I do this with Irish potatoes?
Poor potato 😢
Give it something to hold on to.
It's really surprising that regular tap water has everything the plant needs to grow.

Wow 😲
i was tried to grew potato like this, but the potato got rotten, why? pls answer me

Pero los tallos y hojas son de viña-parra ?
No, son de batata/patata dulce. Muchas plantas necesitan soporte al crecer y echan trencillas para sujetarse a algo.😊
that potato plant has better dance moves than me
How will I buy it ?
Tried to do that be4 but didn’t work at all
Wow
In just water?
you can eat the leaves styr fry 😋
I had no idea potatoes are vining like that.
Это не картофель, это батат. Два абсолютно разных растения. Люди назвали батат "сладкая картошка" за схожий внешний вид.

WHERES THE FUCKING SOIL

這是地瓜,不是馬鈴薯
You know the only reason they stop the time lapse is because it probably died immediately after that
maybe because yt shorts are limited to 60 seconds?
or maybe the music ended?
or maybe the timelapse software cant support long videos?
