    Omg sir you are the Man thank you for your tips especially the slow method to get more wool on the lines. Another question i have is i adjusted my sissors and now when i tuft the gun is getting stuck and not moving up, Any sugestions sir

      That’s one thing I haven’t learned is how to adjust the guns. I don’t mess with any of my guns because people have problems after trying to adjust or mess with things on their guns

      Practice, practice, practice. Dub a hole in my first project! But I mended it and it worked out ok. Taught me how NOT to dig a hole in the next project! Before you get started on a piece the first time, practices on the sides to get the feel of machine. That will happen pretty quickly!

    Whats the different put 1 or 2 yarn at the gun? I see you use double layer. Whats better?

      Gives more yarn in the rug. Takes longer to complete a rug with 1 yarn plus it’ll be a thin rug vs a thick rugs

      If you have to gun with the red trigger you may have to tighten that the nut directly behind it

    oh and my hands thank you.. i got the electric scissors.. i think i am going to try the primary.. this burlap is giving me the blues

      I’ve been using more primary cloth because I teach tufting classes and I don’t have room for the cloth the be getting holes and students having to start over

      Burlap is very unforgiving. I just transitioned to Monk cloth and the difference is night and day.that said I gained useful experience working with unforgiving cloth like burlap that improved my technique

    Those lines you still see on your rug is because the lines still do apart or maybe needs to be leveled cause I would have the same problem but then I would close up the lines more and I wouldn’t see those streaks

      @@TugsRugs I think this technique just uses so much yarn ,it's not cuz how I'm doing it as I did it exactly how you showed .. I agree the edges are better but I don't think I can afford to use up double the yarn it usually takes ..

      I've had my share of carving and also watched videos of other people carving, and never have I seen somebody carving a flimsy weak pile of yarn. You can adapt and reduce a little, but you'll always waste. Maybe you can reuse the carved yarn, some people make new strands of yarn with leftover yarn.
