Loved the video and the explanation for the work and its exemplary speaking for itself but also it was cool to see how the material bunched up like that until it’s trimmed I just built my own 80x80 frame and I can’t wait to get started this video and others are gonna be a big help in the long run !! You remind me of Shawty Lo lol, your video helped a lot 🫡🫡
Glad I could help
Love the video it was definitely helpful. Have you tried your hand at gradient shading yet ?
No I haven’t. I’ll do some research about it because I’m never heard of it
Finally you switched fabrics 😂😂 no more burlap
lol. Only because I do a lot of in person teaching
Thank bro getting my first in a few minutes cant wait to get started. Your video's help me a lot. #battery gun
You’re welcome. Be patient cause it can be a little frustrating to most and easy for some
Omg sir you are the Man thank you for your tips especially the slow method to get more wool on the lines. Another question i have is i adjusted my sissors and now when i tuft the gun is getting stuck and not moving up, Any sugestions sir
That’s one thing I haven’t learned is how to adjust the guns. I don’t mess with any of my guns because people have problems after trying to adjust or mess with things on their guns
Practice, practice, practice. Dub a hole in my first project! But I mended it and it worked out ok. Taught me how NOT to dig a hole in the next project! Before you get started on a piece the first time, practices on the sides to get the feel of machine. That will happen pretty quickly!
with your experience , do you have yarn you love for making skin color ? nice vid btw you get new sub :)
I use the Red Heart brand beige, aran and cafe late
:)@@TugsRugs
Are you coming back to Atlanta for in person classes?
I have nothing booked for Atlanta. You can definitely host a class and I’ll come and teach
I think you should’ve made the “THE” a little thicker but came out good brotha 💯
Would of been too much yarn in a tight space
Ya looked jacked.
Whats the different put 1 or 2 yarn at the gun? I see you use double layer. Whats better?
Gives more yarn in the rug. Takes longer to complete a rug with 1 yarn plus it’ll be a thin rug vs a thick rugs
Chopped it up at the end
lol. I think i cut out too much
Hey tugs I'm interested in making a business op but I'm lost on we're to get my tags made any advice on what to-do
You want tags that hang, stick or sew on
Hang or stick would be great
What is the speed of your electric clipper?
Not sure the speed
Good day, how do we adjust the sensor? my tufting gun when I switch on it start running without me operating it.
If you have to gun with the red trigger you may have to tighten that the nut directly behind it
@@TugsRugs All thanks to you, it is working properly now.
where did you get your tufting cloth??
amzn.to/3TEEcMy
amzn.to/43pOG5z
@@TugsRugs I have that one from Amazon already and it’s alright, yours looks super strong and durable. I haven’t seen any with black lines before
What is the difference between using 1 line instead of 2?
You put more yarn in the cloth at once
please make mirror rug
czcams.com/video/vRybVS4R674/video.htmlsi=ktp7YJ888mbqecwI
so your not a burlap man anymore? i see primary cloth..
oh and my hands thank you.. i got the electric scissors.. i think i am going to try the primary.. this burlap is giving me the blues
Can you go slow like using burlap as well? i got a lot I have to use up.. lol
I’ve been using more primary cloth because I teach tufting classes and I don’t have room for the cloth the be getting holes and students having to start over
Burlap is very unforgiving. I just transitioned to Monk cloth and the difference is night and day.that said I gained useful experience working with unforgiving cloth like burlap that improved my technique
Those lines you still see on your rug is because the lines still do apart or maybe needs to be leveled cause I would have the same problem but then I would close up the lines more and I wouldn’t see those streaks
Gotcha
Tried this method and it eats through the yarn like nobodies business !
lol. Got to practice this technique more
@@TugsRugs I think this technique just uses so much yarn ,it's not cuz how I'm doing it as I did it exactly how you showed .. I agree the edges are better but I don't think I can afford to use up double the yarn it usually takes ..
@@honestfigurereviewsI personally always use two strands I wouldn’t use clippers if you only use 1 strand just use scissors instead :)))
@@joselynwatson6244 I use 2 strands ...
I've had my share of carving and also watched videos of other people carving, and never have I seen somebody carving a flimsy weak pile of yarn. You can adapt and reduce a little, but you'll always waste. Maybe you can reuse the carved yarn, some people make new strands of yarn with leftover yarn.
